i'm 100% an old head, but love how intelligent the game has become. bball IQ & athleticism is off the charts. In 30 years a new generation will be here, that will make the current players look like the 90s do now, just like in the 90s, the 60s/70s looked weak. It's the cycle of evolution.
Kids now days could smoke me with their footwork drills, we never did any of that crap, we just played, set screens and ran the plays. When you see a great athlete play, you can practice their moves. Kids now days will be practicing Joker, KD, Curry, Luka, etc., moves. No doubt about it current vs 90s straight up who would win. Just yesterday in that last couple of plays down the stretch against the Pels, when Lakers came out the timeout Rui almost fked the play up by not getting to his position early, Bron was literally screaming and clapping for Rui to get to his spot, eventually which he did. It's amazing that no sports podcast has ever thought of having this type of open format. It's basically almost just the Joe Rogan experience for sports. I just found this channel yesterday and it's a gem. You can tell it will end up being very successful.

lol, what’s so crazy is after seeing the gortat screen, in Wemby’s last game against the grizzlies, this “unstoppable cheat code” move was actually guarded by Wemby. He was sealed by Jemison and as Scottie Pippen Jr went up for a layout, Wemby jumped and reached over jemison for the block on Scottie Pippen Jr. So there goes Wemby doing the “impossible.”
-Edit- There is no gortat screen mentioned at all in this clip though lol

Cuz pretty much after his first few months he’s been acknowledged as the best defender in the league and I see he will probably lead the league in blocks for many years and he is aware on defense and makes good effort but how good yall think he is on D?

    • @malikanderson9999

You could put LeBron in the 90's and he would win World Championships. Michael Jordan was great...BUT... he COULD NOT and DID NOT win ANYTHING without Scottie and Phil. And people like Stephen A. Smith are scared to debate that because they know it's a debate they will LOSE!💯🎤

This podcast may sound technical wherein they are basketball savant, a basketball savant who possesses an exceptional understanding and knowledge of the game. They may have an encyclopedic knowledge of basketball history, statistics, strategies, player tendencies, and various intricacies of the sport. However, being a savant doesn't necessarily mean they excel in playing the game themselves or achieving success on the court.
There are players who are just pure winners. They may not have the same depth of understanding or knowledge about the sport as a savant, but they have the ability to apply their skills effectively on the court to achieve victories. The savant excels in understanding the game intellectually, while the winner excels in applying their skills and achieving tangible success on the court.
