Trailers come in a few phases, First they hook you in with a tease, then they give you a taste of it (hopefully not showing to much but enough to get you to the theater) and then as it gets closer to the date, they know people have already made their minds up, but for the ones that didn't..here come the TV spots and the trailers that show even more just to get those last people in the theater. At any one point, you know what a trailer is and it's up to you to decide to watch it. Lol

Shazam is probably going to be funnier than anything Marvel has done, and I'm a marvel fanboy. Like Jeremy Johnson said in his Shazam review, DC's strong suit is Isolated stories apparently, no more of that Universe stuff, If they keep putting out bangers like Shazam and This? I'm all for it.
Another thing is that these characters are so grounded in reality. In Shazam and Jokers case especially, They feel like real people. Really grabs the audience really well.

An absolutely incredible movie, riveting from start to end. So many reviews call Arthur a ‘creep’ or a ‘loser’, but I feel those are inaccurate depictions. He seemed to have such a good heart. He seemed to genuinely want to make people happy. He seemed willing to work hard and be nice and fair to others. And yet others couldn’t to him because he was different. It broke my heart. I rooted so hard for you, Arthur.
Joa is a gifted actor on a level most dream of being Heath made his mark by taking the joker in an edgelord direction ( barely laughed or smiled) and the edgelords ate it up but more importantly it worked for the movie. Outside of the Joker Heaths character was average overall.

Whenever he mentioned elements of his past, it was impossible to tell if he was lying through his teeth, inventing memories due to his madness, or simply setting up an elaborate trap through them. This movie looks like it's going to make it all seem like perfect sense.
I think that the whole "mysterious villain" thing (someone nobody knows anything about) is a cliche and that's what this movie is trying to avoid. Today's villains aren't truly evil, they have their motives, a good villain is one you can get in their shoes and truly understand why they're doing what they're doing. Let's take this movie for example - a man, thrown into society, trying to hold on hope which is nothing more than an empty promise. Once that hope is gone, he has nothing left, society just alters his mind, twists it and so he becomes what we consider evil. That's what I'm getting from this trailer and that makes sense to me. But let's not forget that the Joker has never been about making sense.
I love Leo but Joaquin is an artist of epic proportions. His range is incredible (Her, The Master, Walk the Line, Gladiator) and he seems like more of a fit for this role than Leo would've.

Another Fail destined Joker. Heath Ledger was killed because he accepted Islam and spoke the Truth on jews doing 9/11. This Joker is a Joke, weak, a victim until old age (Almost 50 and still not become the Joker and getting whooped by kids and people all over). This is the worst Joker ever. They need to bring someone who is young like Heath Ledger and who becomes the Joker in early 20s or late teens. Not Fricking 55 year old looser. This is more like an old man loosing his cool after a life long of suffering this film should be called 'Angry Grandpa'.
After seeing this, it’s like I’ve seen only a quarter of the whole story. I need to see more. I want to see Joker in prison going through counseling and meeting Harley Quinn or continuing his Joker movement, getting rid of Thomas Wayne and maybe introducing the grown up version of Bruce Wayne which we saw in the movie.
The laugh... He's gonna be a good one potraying Joker. Joker was born after constant depression and by the look of this trailer, I'm gonna say this looks better than Leto.
It's not really -that- wrong as it's the same character. Leto's version is the cliche while this one seems to be truly fascinating. Ledger managed to pull the not-so-cliche version really well.

Shazam is probably going to be funnier than anything Marvel has done, and I'm a marvel fanboy. Like Jeremy Johnson said in his Shazam review, DC's strong suit is Isolated stories apparently, no more of that Universe stuff, If they keep putting out bangers like Shazam and This? I'm all for it.
Swing and a miss. Not the same. People actually like the Joker. The DCEU just plain sucks. That's why Marvel is much better.
Another thing is that these characters are so grounded in reality. In Shazam and Jokers case especially, They feel like real people. Really grabs the audience really well.

They are characters first, and Heroes/villains second. Neither of those movies need the properties to be good. The characterization is what’s so good about them, nothing to do with the name of the characters they play.

An absolutely incredible movie, riveting from start to end. So many reviews call Arthur a ‘creep’ or a ‘loser’, but I feel those are inaccurate depictions. He seemed to have such a good heart. He seemed to genuinely want to make people happy. He seemed willing to work hard and be nice and fair to others. And yet others couldn’t to him because he was different. It broke my heart. I rooted so hard for you, Arthur.
I was hesitant at first, but suddenly I got so hyped up for this, I get the feeling Joaquin can perform this on the same level that Ledger did
Joa is a gifted actor on a level most dream of being Heath made his mark by taking the joker in an edgelord direction ( barely laughed or smiled) and the edgelords ate it up but more importantly it worked for the movie. Outside of the Joker Heaths character was average overall.

I was a bit nervous when I heard this movie was a thing, but my God, this interpretation looks chilling. I love how hes not just a force of nature no one understands. We see what leads him down that dark hole. Its haunting, depressing, and i love it!

Whenever he mentioned elements of his past, it was impossible to tell if he was lying through his teeth, inventing memories due to his madness, or simply setting up an elaborate trap through them. This movie looks like it's going to make it all seem like perfect sense.

I think that the whole "mysterious villain" thing (someone nobody knows anything about) is a cliche and that's what this movie is trying to avoid. Today's villains aren't truly evil, they have their motives, a good villain is one you can get in their shoes and truly understand why they're doing what they're doing. Let's take this movie for example - a man, thrown into society, trying to hold on hope which is nothing more than an empty promise. Once that hope is gone, he has nothing left, society just alters his mind, twists it and so he becomes what we consider evil. That's what I'm getting from this trailer and that makes sense to me. But let's not forget that the Joker has never been about making sense.

I don't know, Dicaprio is a hell of an actor.. Joaquin is great too.. But im not sure he is in Dicaprio's league.
I love Leo but Joaquin is an artist of epic proportions. His range is incredible (Her, The Master, Walk the Line, Gladiator) and he seems like more of a fit for this role than Leo would've.

Plus although he had difficult life he was in his core evil thats why he worked for madia as red hood and he didnt wore make up but his skin changed colour... there was so much more action... this film.focuses on one small aspect of his life. Therefor drama is much more concentrated in this film. Too much. This is why i dont like it. No chills no goosebumps just misery. Where is horror coused by him? Where is his dark humor? You see what i mean? Maybe Jared Leto wasnt the best joker visualy but still there was tension when he was in the room there was this dark humor. If you ask me he was much much better joker.

Another Fail destined Joker. Heath Ledger was killed because he accepted Islam and spoke the Truth on jews doing 9/11. This Joker is a Joke, weak, a victim until old age (Almost 50 and still not become the Joker and getting whooped by kids and people all over). This is the worst Joker ever. They need to bring someone who is young like Heath Ledger and who becomes the Joker in early 20s or late teens. Not Fricking 55 year old looser. After seeing this, it’s like I’ve seen only a quarter of the whole story. I need to see more. I want to see Joker in prison going through counseling and meeting Harley Quinn or continuing his Joker movement, getting rid of Thomas Wayne and maybe introducing the grown up version of Bruce Wayne which we saw in the movie.

They’re playing 2 different versions of joker for a start, so comparing them when it’s different roles is wrong
It's not really -that- wrong as it's the same character. Leto's version is the cliche while this one seems to be truly fascinating. Ledger managed to pull the not-so-cliche version really well.
