    I started drinking juice from Indian gooseberry by mixing it with aloe vera juice two times daily. Regularly trimming the hair also helps. Take care of the lifestyle. Use liiitlleextra cocooninon hair oil shampoo set as both are good for hair fall control. If you do this every day, you will results in just a few weeks.

    Four months into my water washing only journey and my hair is so curly, much softer and over all much easier to manage. And, it's not frizzy anymore 🤷‍♀️ I suggest trying it for yourself but everyone's hair is different. Your hair technically doesn't need shampoo. It's the media and society that have pushed it so heavily through the years but think about it. In the 1800's, they didn't use shampoo.

      @@aaaapee Your hair is going to go through a transition period when you stop using shampoo, where it's oily and your scalp may start to get itchy but if that happens, I suggest just giving your scalp a good brushing and if water washing is something you want to start doing, maybe every other day, water rinse your hair instead of using shampoo. I feel like using warm water in the beginning but maybe then cool water right before you get out will probably help make your scalp feel refreshed and more clean. I'm to the point, personally, where I'm only water rinsing my hair once every two weeks and my hair is adjusting but I also don't sweat on my scalp a ton every day.

    I’m about five months out from the last time I shampooed. Just over the weekend, I learned of this “nopoo” trend or movement or whatever. It’s a really unfortunate name, but it has worked for my naturally curly, dense, dry, color damaged hair. I wouldn’t say it’s helped my hair grow any faster, but it holds volume so much better than it did when I would wash it once a week and that was with salon product. I massage my scalp under very warm to hot water which probably strips some of that naturally occurring sebum and I use dry shampoo about once a week. I’m not licensed. Im not an expert. I just know my hair and as of now, my hair feels so soft and healthy.

    As someone who only water washes, I don’t use products anymore so maybe that’s why you’re not having success with it. The oil your scalp produces is supposed to be there and acts like a natural product. Of course if I ever go into the pool(chlorine) or in the ocean(heavy salt and minerals) or just dirty in general I usually use a cleansing shampoo. But that happens maybe a couple times in the year.

    Okay first of all water washing only only onlyyyy works when you are combing your hair alotttt. Like seriously sit down and keep combing for good 20 mins. Twice a day. It will make your scalp less greasy as all the oil will travel down to the roots and make your hair soft. The most oil your scalp produces is the near your neck area. Brush downward and thn upwards. And rubbing your scalp very throughly in shower.

    My big question would be: "How do you know all this?" And by that I mean, how do you know you have to massage your scalp if you're doing the water-only method? How do you know that works? Was a study conducted where one group just let warm/hot water run through their hair without massaging, while another group let warm/hot water run through their hair and also massaged their scalp? And then you examined the results? How do you know that rinsing with cold water produces better results than rinsing with warm/hot water? See what I'm getting at? I could be wrong, but I don't think any studies have ever been conducted on what techniques work best if you opt for the water-only rinsing/wash, yet there are so many "experts" out there giving advice. I am just over three weeks into the no shampoo (aka "no poo") method, and I am loving it! I had the super oilys the end of Day 1, all of Day 2 and all of Day 3. Day 4, things actually weren't as bad; I saw a noticeable difference. And after that, things have slowly gotten better and better. There's no smell either; your hair just smells like natural hair. I don't rinse with cold water. I don't massage my scalp, though I do sort of squeegee my hair while the warm/hot water is running through it. When I'm done, I simply pat the excess water with my towel, and then I just use a wide-toothed comb. Done. This has been working for me, but I would add that I, too, haven't conducted any experiments on myself to see if other techniques worked better.

My whole point is that there are many RUclipsrs who are making CLAIMS about what you NEED to do with the no shampoo method yet have conducted no sort of studies to back up these claims. And what they are saying may very well turn out to be correct. I'm not saying any of these people are wrong. They could be wrong, though. And that's just it -- we just don't really know. 😀

But, I must say, you need to wash out the impurities in the air, dust etc.....and sweat and old skin cells. You can also use two or three drops of rosemary oil in your shampoo bottle...:)))))

    YOUR HAIR GETS OILY FAST? YOU HAVE AN OILY SCALP? WASH EVERYDAY WITH SHAMPOO! HERE'S WHY:
    For those of you with oily scalps/hair that think shampooing their hair once a week/month/year would cause it to grease up less or over longer periods of time, here are some legitimate, research-backed, science-based facts:
    there is no special sensor in your skin cells that detects moisture from the outside and suddenly understands to produce less oil. Your sebaceous glands are being influenced by your hormone production internally and following their own genetic script for how much oil they would like to produce in a given time period, and no topical products (barring the rx's I addressed earlier) are going to suddenly influence them to respond by producing less oil. Deodorant does not stop us from sweating - it just masks the smell (please ignore the existence of antiperspirant for my analogy here). We reapply it every day, appreciating it, never questioning it. So why do we demonize and question the efficacy of surfactants in shampoo the same way?
    If you want to not smell bad, you apply deodorant. If you don't want food between your teeth, you floss. If you want your hair to not be oily, you wash it. It really is that simple. There is no trick out there that is going to reverse or significantly reduce oil production. I'm telling you this from personal experience and education. I understand wanting to stop it because it is very enviable to see others get away with not washing their hair for several days and still have it looking good. I understand that washing frequently is annoying and effortful. I understand very deeply there is an emotional aspect to having oily roots and feeling "dirty". Let me tell you personally. Oil is not gross. It is inconvenient, and sometimes uncomfortable, yes, but it's not implicitly better to have dry skin/scalp, which comes with its own whole set of issues. Sebum is produced to nourish the skin and protect it. Of course, we can absolutely help control it and reduce its appearance when our skin makes too much. But we can't wish it away or hope that by neglecting it, it'll quit.
    wash your hair if you don't want it to be oily. Shampooing often is not inherently wrong, nor will it damage your hair. The shampoo itself is not the devil and if you struggle with above-average sebum production, washing it away is really your only logical solution. Please try to see your oiliness as just part of who you are and not a medical condition or a severe flaw.
    enjoy taking care of your hair properly!

      I agree with this wholeheartedly however your skin does have receptors that detect Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL) this can be slowed by conditioner moisturising the scalp and slowing TEWL however, dont expect washing hair daily and not using conditioner or serum on the scalp to moisturise will leave your hair oil free. Your body will quickly expel sebum to slow TEWL to avoid a dry scalp but once again this is only when your skin barrier has no emollient on it.

    I just completed 2 weeks of no shampoo and I can't take it anymore. My my hands are horribly greasy after touching it in the shower. Water alone will not cut through it. My scalp scrapes off easily under my fingernail if I scratches my head.
    Haven't tried a scrubbing tool like a brush, but I don't think that will help.
    I have always had a big problem with my hair returning to greasy less than 24 hours after washing.
    I happened to try Salon Selectives® Marula Magic™ from Dollar Tree® and the difference was night and day.
    Have never used any shampoo costing over $1 USD before. I wonder what a more expensive one might do. Maybe even better. Maybe worse. I don't know.
    What I do know is that I have hair that must be washed every day and I don't think water alone could ever be for me.
    I was hoping that my hair would eventually stop 🛑 becoming greasy and stop replacing oils if I stopped stripping them with harsh chemicals.
    But as of 2 weeks, the answer has been NO and this whole experience has been a nightmare for me.

      @naurchleor 2 года назад

      Hey, friend. If you do more research into the "no 'poo" technique of haircare, you will find that, for some people, the transition into nice hair can take months. For some, it will only take a few weeks, but not all people.
      I would recommend trying again and going for a few months. Keep in mind that a bad diet and lack of exercise can also lead to either a longer transition or continually bad hair.

    • @TheEgg185
      @TheEgg185 2 года назад +1

      @@naurchleor I don't have months to wait. Those 2 weeks were one of the most miserable 2 weeks of my life. I'm never doing that again.
      I get my shampoo from the dollar store (now the dollar 25 store). The shampoo makes a big difference.
      Cheap shampoos like VO5®, Suave®, and White Rain® caused my hair to get disgusting in under 24 hours for 35 years until I discovered Silkience® and Salon Selectives® which are ALSO in the dollar store.
      Maybe some $20+ shampoos are even better, but I don't care to find out. I'm satisfied with what I'm doing.
      Takeaways:
      1. I think he's full of shit and most people need shampoo to cut through disgusting oils.
      2. The brand of shampoo DOES make a difference.
      3. You don't need to use expensive shampoo though. That is also bullshit.
      4. I forgot what else I was gonna say. I have to get up early to give a Ted Talk tomorrow. Good day.
