    What is that thing dangling on the front of the boat, what is it for? Thanks so much.

      It’s a wand that controls the ride height of the boat by adjusting an elevator on the t-foil daggerboard. By skimming across the top of the water it measures the height of the boat above the surface. If the boat drops down the wand angle changes and increases the amount of elevator and hence lift. The opposite happens if the boat flies too high
