I hate to say it, but the PL-XT is the only knife I've ever sent back... my button lock got EXTREMELY messed up. Both closing and opening it. It would lock when open so you couldn't close it unless you really messed with it, and you could lock it and it wouldn't actually lock it. I contacted WMK, and they said they'd had a lot of the exact same complaints. This was only flicking it open and closed for a few weeks. Not even using it, much less using it hard.

@@miller8638 it's smooth but not too slippery because it fits the hand well. It could use a little texture, but I have yet to drop it (knock on wood lol)

All these knifes are EXPENSIVE so if they wouldn't feel good or perform flawlessly it be silly. Now how about REALLY reviewing REAL E.D C. that Every Working man can afford, not be afraid to use, and not broke if he was unfortunate to misplace or loose. And alot easier to replace instead of these EXPENSIVE knifes that no one in their right mind would use as a EDC let alone use for work

I tend to lean more on liner and triad locks some frame locks. I just dont feel confident in a button unless its a button liner lock even though there getting better. I just kind of go with the design actually. So good list bro
I will say I have many CIVIVI and WE button locks that have been put through the paces and they are still super solid
Love that Clydesdale. One if my favorite blade shapes and named after my favorite animal. Just wish it had a normal flipper, or no flipper, instead of the front flipper. Oh, and I wish it was actually in stock 🤣

For someone who said he wouldn't choose a frame lock for his one-and-done, you sure do recommend a lot of frame locks, Jerad.😁
He kinda has to bring this is his job lol. After discovering all the new locks on the market I don’t even consider frame/liner lock knives anymore. Purely for the fidget factor I think.
@The_RC_Guru I agree with you. I don't consider frame locks or the weakest of locks, the button (plunge) lock. I just thought it was funny because Jerad not only said in his "one-and-done" knife video that he wouldn't chose a frame lock, but also enumerated reasons why, which were very good reasons. So good, in fact, that I wouldn't chose a frame lock at all. 🙂
Then what? There's a lot of good cool knives that have frame locks. I prefer frame locks over liner, button and omega spring locks
@ronin3635 I used to think frame locks were stronger than liners based on appearance. However, after seeing extensive hard testing on multiple lock types, it clearly demonstrated that frame locks were, in fact, weaker than liners, tended to deform more, and interfere with the proper functioning of the knife.
The strongest locks are back locks (e.g. Tri-Ad, Shark, etc.), followed by compression locks and liners. I can't remember where crossbars fell, but I know that the Omega springs weaken over time and are more likely to break, a fact Jared mentioned in his 1 & done vid.
