What is the point of having the rodecastor if you are controlling everything from the Atem now? So you can use the XLR mics? I see a lot of videos on connecting the two, but not really understanding why. I want to use the rodecastor for its controls / audio and the atem for camera switching. Does that mean I have to keep them plugged in to my computer separately and mesh the audio and video in editing?

I just purchased the ATEM and the Rode. I'm getting a terrible static from the ATEM as soon as I plug it in from the Rode. Not sure what's going on. I just ordered the cable you recommended, so hopefully that will help.

@brad_neal I have been using that cable for my home setup and at my podcast studio. Never had any static issues. I will be posting a video soon showing my workflow which will include the use of that cable. Hopefully that video will be helpful to you. Stay tuned! Appreciate your feedback.

I have nearly the same setup: Sony a6400 to ATEM Mini Pro ISO; Shure SM7B to Rodecaster Pro 2; Rodecaster Pro 2 (dual audio to 3.5mm) to ATEM Mini Pro ISO; External Drive connected to the ATEM. But I have a problem: I'm recording great video, but NO AUDIO. The "MIC 1" on the ATEM is ON. I've recorded 33 episodes, but now I'm recording no audio. I did check the ATEM software and made sure the audio was set to "LINE" instead of "Microphone." Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped. Btw, love the videos.

Hey! appreciate the feedback. If i am understanding correctly - the issue is either from the Rodecaster or something on the Atem Software.
First I would recommend making sure that the Rodecaster is receiving feed from the SM7B (look for the audio wave when talking into the SM7B and your sensativity is set to the approperate level. If everything is working properly on the Rodecaster. I would then start looking into the Atem software.
To see if the Atem is receiving audio properly. I would check on the Atem software in the audio tab. On the video at 3:39 instead of clicking on the setting click on "Audio" where it shows "media" to the left and "Camera" to the left. Once you open that check to see if there is any activity on "Mic 1". If not mess with that to see if it helps.
If none of these work for you. DO NOT WORRY! I was considering of a full breakdown of my podcast setup at the studio showing all this in use. I make sure to address this issue in that video.
please let me know if this worked for you or not.
