Wyatt Russel is killing it. The reason I love his character is because of the main emotion he expresses: Anger. I think anger is probably the best emotion one can express while acting. And the court scene is just... amazing.
In all honesty, John was probably the best candidate to be captain America after steve retired. sam didn't want it bucky is still not there mentally and this guy covers basically all the bases has a military background he has been training his entire life he is a proven hero and will always try to do the right thing had sam and bucky worked with him from the beginning and guided him with their experience things might have gone another way his friend might still be alive he might have been able to be the symbol the people needed.
even though you all may hate john walker for being captain america but just imagine the hard work and patience it took him to get that shield it's not an ordinary feat
Honestly would love to see Walker walk between the lines of what _is and isn’t_ Captain America. He wasn’t the best Captain America, but Walker was trying his best. To see his descent and slight redemption was cool, but I’d like to explore those flaws of his in the future as *US Agent.*

This interview speaks volumes of the man. He knows he has alot to live up to and he tried to humble himself. But did anybody else notice how his smile sort of fades when she brings up his accomplishments. I think he was did dirty by falcon and bucky
His smile fades because he doesn’t want to talk about those “accomplishments” because he doesn’t see them as accomplishments. To him, they’re reminders of his failure. Things went wrong, people died, and he couldn’t bring everyone home alive. No medal is gonna wash away the survivor’s guilt.
I’m just loving this character! At first he looks like a replacement Captain America but underneath, he’s hiding his dark side and I’m excited to see what happens with him in The Thunderbolts movie.
Man I can't get over how cool that uniform is,people can say what they will John would've been a great Cap if he personally knew Steve it's not his fault he was literary under pressure he didn't ask to be Cap and I don't know why everyone's hating on him for killing that terrorist in public he was a murdering terrorist and needed to be put down simple as I don't care what your reasons are, there's no excuse for killing innocent people John Walker is a good man he just believes in the system and follows they're rules too much but he didn't deserve all of the back lash and hate
A lot of ppl never gave him a chance but I never hated John. Ppl really had no real reason to hate him except for our protagonists hating him. John was nice with that shield too and he had a cool suit.
He started out generally likeable and yeah, Sam and Bucky are babies about it to start with. But ultimately he was installed as a puppet superhero for the government and he wasn't cut out for the Avengers' world. In hindsight I feel bad for the guy.
OK, so, WHY was he out to be a villain? In my book, he's fucking rad, will be a badass super soldier, a badass Thunderbolt and a MASSIVE asset to the avengers
And he ended up being one of the best characters after end game. Sad that they can't even do something like this right, where I (and a lot of others) found sam and bucky to be super childish in this show. Walker was an actual hero, and a very likable one. Not saying he didn't have flaws, but thats what makes a good character. Not to mention his "flaw" isn't as bad as thwy tried to make it as he killed a terrorist who just tried to kill him, succeed with his buddy, and helped blow up a building. Man there was so much wrong with this show but walker was not one of them.
Yeah they present it in the show like he's doing something immoral, but this was an enhanced individual who had just killed an American serviceman infront of him while resisting arrest, was wanted in connection with a terrorist act and was running towards a crowd of civilians, okay it wasn't the cleanest kill, but it's justifiable and honeslty how many guys did Sam smoke at the start of the series in that chopper, pretty sure the guy he threw out wasn't any less of a mess.
Did we watch the same show? Sam literally retired the mantle in the first episode. It took the whole damn show to cinvince him to take it. And it's not that John didn't want the mantle, he did. He was just afraid he wouldn't live up to it.
i liked john walker but i didnt like how he was during the middle of the series everytime he said "i am captain america" cause hes not and no one will be except for steve rogers
Same here they never gave him a chance. And who are they to judge walker, I started to not like bucky and falcon after this show and became a supporter of walker
John Walker was definitely my favorite even though I’m sure that was unintentional on the writer’s part being that they tried pretty hard to make him a bad guy while also trying to make that psychopath chick a tragic anti hero hoping that the audience would sympathize with her lol.
I feel like John wanted to do good, but his psychological was not Very good, and he tried to have Sam and Bucky as allies, without giving them time to digest the situation of someone taking their friend's mantle. It also did not help Sam and Bucky were facing a lot of problems at that time. And he was kind of delusional: He considered Steve a brother, even If he never even saw or met him in person. I think that, had he tried to be less Captain America and more of himself, maybe things would have turned out better, and he could have been allies with Sam and Bucky.
He wasn’t delusional because he said Steve felt like a brother, it’s not a serious thing, he meant it like a brother in arms. Soldiers often feel a connection and comraderie with each other due to common experiences.
He wasn't really a villain. Worst thing he did was kill a guy with the shield but even then the guy was a terrorist. No different from cap killing nazis
Probably not. But I've always felt that had Frank not gotten screwed over by Rawlins then he could've received the same level of praise that John had at the beginning of this show.
Why did everybody get pissed off that John became captain America? If anything they should be mad that Sam have the shielded away like it was nothing although Steve told sam that the shield was now his. And John is actually a good and entertaining character. If it wasn’t for John this series wouldn’t be so entertaining
It's a shame people hate john so much, in reality he did nothing wrong. Actually Steve was made captain America for the same reason as John, as an icon and a symbol.
Bugs me how he is able to be so accurate with the shield without any enhancements. In the comics, throwing the shield with Cap level accuracy is something very few can do like Hawkeye and Bucky, Sam can't do it particularly well to this day. In the MCU, Cap has to perfect his technique throughout the movies to get it to come back to him and he progressively masters it. John Walker, without the serum or any enhancements, can snipe with it and have it return right to him instantly. Pretty bs.
Honestly John got a bad rap- he was chosen, he didn’t take the shield. The way Sam and Bucky treated him actually kind of pissed me off. Glad he’s got a second chance at the US Agent.
His wife was a real one. She stuck with him through thick and thin
That's because she knows her husband is a good person. Walker also loves her a lot.

"Off the charts in every category. Speed, endurance, intelligence"
He was peak when he took the serum. He must better than Steve was.
It's funny for me see the hypocrisy in the people that hating him the first time, laughing at him, mocking him, just for not being Steve Rogers, cause his never was a bad guy, not in the episode 2, not in the episode 3, he just wanted to be a good Captain America and keep the Steve legacy, and now, after episode 6, all that people love him, it's hilarious and shameful
I liked him from the start.
Wyatt Russel is killing it. The reason I love his character is because of the main emotion he expresses: Anger. I think anger is probably the best emotion one can express while acting. And the court scene is just... amazing.
Go
People are slow dude, a lot of em are
"we must respect our veterans!!"
sam wilson, literally a VA counselor: beat the sit out of john walker
In all honesty, John was probably the best candidate to be captain America after steve retired. sam didn't want it bucky is still not there mentally and this guy covers basically all the bases has a military background he has been training his entire life he is a proven hero and will always try to do the right thing had sam and bucky worked with him from the beginning and guided him with their experience things might have gone another way his friend might still be alive he might have been able to be the symbol the people needed.
even though you all may hate john walker for being captain america
but just imagine the hard work and patience it took him to get that shield it's not an ordinary feat
He was the best part of this show
0:21 Literally every American ever
Honestly would love to see Walker walk between the lines of what _is and isn’t_ Captain America.
He wasn’t the best Captain America, but Walker was trying his best. To see his descent and slight redemption was cool, but I’d like to explore those flaws of his in the future as *US Agent.*
Both falcon and the winter soldier hated him before he even committed the murder. That's unfair.
I like how realistic marvel tried to make the mcu as you see in these moments
This moment looks extremely real
John walker has the best captain America suit hands down
Honestly in the end I was expecting them to send him to Raft but it’s the opposite I’m pretty damn happy about it after the shit he went through, he still have someone he cares about aside him and is no longer under the pressure of cap’s figure
3 medals of honor. You'd think he wouldn't be an Avenger already.
I would have expected him being in the special task group of S.H.I.E.L.D. but knowing walker he probably would turn down the offer
Lamar and John’s wife are such g’s there so happy to see John up there and they always stick by his side. Such a shame they killed Lamar
Holy crap, I just realized that John Walker was Zook (the quarterback) from 22 Jump Street when I first saw TFATWS. I knew he looked familiar.
Don’t know, can’t say I see why everyone hates him, seems like a good kid. Obviously not Steve Rogers, which they KEEP trying to tell you guys in the show, but it’s no use. The feedback was the same when Chris Evans started out as Captain, give it time.
Man Zook's career really took off since he left football
Thank god I’m not the only one that remembers his role in that film
His future so bright he has to wear sunglasses
@@Souchi-ito I saw what you did there.

5 years ago: Captain America is a fugitive from justice
5 years later: The World needs a Captain America
I didn’t like Walker to much at the start of the series but now he might be one of my favorite characters. Along with Zemo.
Honestly I was thinking he would turn into a villain after everything that happened to him, but he didn’t, he is a really good man, if I were him that would literally my villain origin story
The best character of the series
Its sad how people treated him like shit both within the show and in the real world. Hopefully, we still see more of him in the future.
3 years later " what happened to bulletproof" 😅
He is already a top soldier even bfo he got superstrength...
JOHN WALKER WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A SHED.
WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS.
totally not Tony.
They shoulda brought back Obadiah, to be a villain in Spiderman. :(
John- *breathes*
Bucky- you little shit...
I never hated on him
Also, Wyatt Russell would make a great Duke Nukem.
*John Walker exists
The show: Hate him pls
Fans: No I don't think I will
Exactly.
Woke bastards tried lol
Ngl he was probably the only reason I kept watching the show other than Zemo of course
I hate how the show portrayed john as an asshole for killing a terrorist, even though the terrorist killed his best friend in front of him I mean if you watch someone kill your best friend in front of your eyes I’m pretty sure no one would shame you for killing them in revenge unless that person is some pretentious rich boy who thinks violence is always bad no matter what
Idk if it portrayed him as an asshole as much as just the fact that hes not as good a man as cap was
They tried so hard to make this dude the villain of the show when he was in reality the only one trying to fight and kill literal terrorists 😭
i am literally crying in this video. I just miss the old avengers
Have they taken the movies off of Disney+?
@@Guest10101 what? Of course no
Keep crying stan
Same, there isn’t gunna the nice classic 6 all group up anymore. It’s so spread out
Time to move on bro
The longer I watch Wyatt on screen, the more I see his father, Kurt.
Wait a second…😳🤯😱, John Walker and Ego are related?
@@ricardoortiz4960Yup. Kurt even named his son Wyatt in honor of Wyatt Earp.
Is it just me or does John Walker remind me of that quarterback from 22 Jump Street?
Unlike Sam, who wanted to be the next Cap, Walker didn’t ask for the title, but accepted it nonetheless.
Sam didnt want to have the shield either at first. He denied it at the start of the show. It was only at the end that he accepted his role as new Cap.
Did we watch the same show? Sam literally retired the mantle in the first episode. It took the whole damn show to cinvince him to take it. And it's not that John didn't want the mantle, he did. He was just afraid he wouldn't live up to it.
@@bryanrogers5648people got upset for him killing a...*checks note terrorist.………what a self righteous plot
i liked john walker but i didnt like how he was during the middle of the series everytime he said "i am captain america" cause hes not and no one will be except for steve rogers
He was humble from the start answered a bit different but he just got pushed to the edge that's all like any other super hero.
If marvel rebooted captain America, he should be Steve Rogers.
I hated Sam and Bucky after watching this show. The way they treated John was vile
Same here they never gave him a chance. And who are they to judge walker, I started to not like bucky and falcon after this show and became a supporter of walker
I agree. During this interview John spoke fondly of Steve and respected him. Also he was being humble. I wish Sam and Bucky were able to see that.
Great hero
Loved this guy
John Walker was definitely my favorite even though I’m sure that was unintentional on the writer’s part being that they tried pretty hard to make him a bad guy while also trying to make that psychopath chick a tragic anti hero hoping that the audience would sympathize with her lol.
can't wait to see him back on Thunderbolts
He really was a cool guy, but then he kept being treated like crap.... At least he didn't go full on evil by the end of it.
His heart was in the right place. Just got caught in the wrong situation.
I thought he was ignorant but after the final episode he's rlly sweet and cute dude ngl, feel bad for him
Jon walker really deserved that shield more then falcon
Bucky and Sam were envious and jealous of Walker
He wasn’t a bad guy. Just had bad luck
He wasn't really a villain. Worst thing he did was kill a guy with the shield but even then the guy was a terrorist. No different from cap killing nazis
Wonder if John met Frank Castle over there.
Oddly enough I think frank and John would get along great
@Daredevil the punisher
Probably not. But I've always felt that had Frank not gotten screwed over by Rawlins then he could've received the same level of praise that John had at the beginning of this show.
My favorite
Why did everybody get pissed off that John became captain America? If anything they should be mad that Sam have the shielded away like it was nothing although Steve told sam that the shield was now his. And John is actually a good and entertaining character. If it wasn’t for John this series wouldn’t be so entertaining
It's a shame people hate john so much, in reality he did nothing wrong. Actually Steve was made captain America for the same reason as John, as an icon and a symbol.
John deserved better
Bugs me how he is able to be so accurate with the shield without any enhancements. In the comics, throwing the shield with Cap level accuracy is something very few can do like Hawkeye and Bucky, Sam can't do it particularly well to this day. In the MCU, Cap has to perfect his technique throughout the movies to get it to come back to him and he progressively masters it. John Walker, without the serum or any enhancements, can snipe with it and have it return right to him instantly. Pretty bs.
Poor Jonh walker
amazing actor
I actually like John I mean he just wanted to keep America safe but Sam and Bucky just gave him crap and I don’t like them for that
The actual Captain America
Dude was amazing as this role
Fun Fact: Ego from GOTG Vol. 2 (Kurt Russell), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell) are related in real life.
Fr he was like the only good character in that whole show
Imagine what John Walker would have been like if he took Compound V instead of the Super Soldier Serum?
Looking forward to seeing him in Thunderbolts*
The writers hated him, he deserved better
Honestly John got a bad rap- he was chosen, he didn’t take the shield. The way Sam and Bucky treated him actually kind of pissed me off. Glad he’s got a second chance at the US Agent.
He is the best captain America
