Hi Mike from the USA, once again another OUTSTANDING review on a true treasure. The tones you demoed on the 335 with the Fender and Peavey amps were wonderful. I truly enjoy watching your reviews and how you show that your as excited about the instruments as we are... Thank you.
+bw5453 Comments like yours are the reason why I'm doing these videos. :) And yes, the Fender Super 112 (red knob series) somehow has not the best image in terms of sound, considered 'muddy and indifferent' by many players, but I typically like to try out 'impossible' combinations at times. The clean channel sound really supported this guitar in the best way.
Best guitar demo and outstanding playing ! Thank you for convince me that Gibson ES-335 is the best electric guitar ever build ! I really enjoy watching your videos ! Mike you have my truly admiration !
Love seeing these vintage guitars in the hands of a player such as Mike B. .... Almost sacrilege to have these guitars in a collectors warehouse or such ... Thanks for letting us all hear a Gibson 1958 produced guitar 👍👍👍 🎸🎸🎸
+cbonemagnifico Thanks for your nice words. I wished I would have had more time to bond with this guitar for that I would have been able to demonstrate even more tonal possibilities which are hidden in this very special guitar. It left me with a very special and lasting experience. A truly great instrument built by a master!
Wonderful guitar, wonderful playing, Mark! This is yet another grüsse aus Schweden! Those guitars are so sensetive and useful in almost any kind of music!
aw some more, beautiful guitars and a beautiful player as we would say here in Ireland, mighty .You bring out the best in the guitars Mike ,tender and melodic, rough and modern. I have a 62 strat, I could never make it sound like you do.
+Mike Burn - I have watched all of your guitar series. You have played some awesome guitars, and played them really well. I especially liked your 1954 Fender comparison. Looking forward to the next video. Keep them coming, as it's one of the reasons I visit RUclips :)
Mike, how are you?,greetings from Australia.Thankyou for another passionate video about these wonderful old instruments that you play so well, and demonstrated with a great clean tone that brings out the natural tone.I used to own a 1961 sg/les paul but now i still have my 1968 sg standard among other guitars.Yes i confess, i am a vintage guitar and amp buff.keep up the great work and best wishes to you.Cheers!
Beautiful guitar, and of course fantastic playing as always. I was a little surprised to see how far the bridge was collapsed. Though, it sounded superb and seemed to play ok, I would think your friend would get a new "aged" vintage bridge. The guitar, I would think would play and sound even better?
Another great demo Mike like always. It's easy to be a bit envious of you being able to get your hands on so many great guitars. They are like works of art to me and I'm sure plenty of others would agree. I really appreciate you taking the time to share them with us and doing such a complete and thorough demo of all these beauties. You always do a great job of letting us hear the guitar itself. Always tasteful playing and audio of course. having access to so many classic this may a bit of sacrilege to suggest but have you ever considered demoing some of the old dept store/house brand guitars from the 60's or the knock off "lawsuit" 70's pieces. You do such a good job of getting a guitars pure sounds recorded it could be interesting. Just a thought. Thanks Mike
+denneb77 Thanks for taking the time to comment on my video. And no, I do not only demo vintage guitars and will take your proposal into consideration when the time is ripe and I'm running into a later year guitar worth demoing. :))) I have no guitar store though LOL but your comment will hopefully allow me to blackmail a yet not knowing guitar owner to hand me over her/his instrument for an official video abuse. :))))))
Hi from Australia. Thanks for sharing this demo for those of us who will probably never have the opportunity of seeing, let alone playing a genuine piece of history like that. Such exceptional condition for a guitar of its age too. Truly a wonderful instrument in the hands of an awesome player. You certainly made that gorgeous guitar sing! I suspect that I would probably have to sell my house to be able to afford it though. Bravo!
Love your playing. The first tune reminds me of Al Di Meola. You have demo'd so many guitars, but never a 175-D? The absolute ultimate hollow body tone IMHO.
Hallo "Mike Burn" (Michael Brandt ?) Rock on........!!!!
LOL
+Jesse M. LOL It is a real painting, a present of the drummer of my band, Jaroslav Forejt, painted for my 40th. birthday (I'm a born Taurus, May). He was excited to read your comment. :))
mike i am green not because i am irish but because i am green with envy over your beautiful gibson es335 always wanted one but had to buy a copy from another brand and man it does not sound like yours maybe if i win the lottery
