Marty Music I think it would be cool if you did a behind the scenes tour of your studio and stuff
Marty my man please play Linkin Park - One more Light.
That old 1959 Gibson ES-335 Vintage sunburst sounds nice
ES335s are my absolute favorite guitars. This versatility and that blues tones just make my heart melt. What a wonderful guitar. Thanks for sharing!
yep i always say a 335, a tele and a fender amp is all you need for the blues
Holy shit I've been watching 335 videos for months and I never realized just how fucking clean they can get with a lowered volume. Amazing. This guitar is amazing.
I just got an Epiphone ES-335 Pro for my birthday three days ago and I absolutely love it. I'm not much of a blues player, but it really does sound good with any other genre. I swear though, the first thing I played was Johnny B Goode on it lol.
Ryandracus Chapman which finish? My ice tea one is amazing!
Tomek Croydon I got vintage sunburst. I love the color.
Ryan Rocks the whole reason why I wanted to play guitar was because I wanted to learn how to play that song!
how much was the epiphone? if u had a little extra cash u shoulda went with the gibson studio 335
LousyDevotee916 the epiphone goes for around $500, compared to $2000 for a gibson studio. “Little extra cash”, yeah sure
This smokey Sound melts my heart
I just love this style of guitar for it's versatility, which you outline perfectly. Jazz, Rock, County, this guitar can do it all. That is a beautiful example of a guitar. Thanks for sharing it Jason, and thanks Marty for this great clip.
I think my goosebumps have goosebumps. Gorgeous sound. And you guys are amazing players.
Beards of a feather play together. I'm 59 & don't work or sound as good, even plugged in.
Thanks to Jason & Marty for sharing, this was a real treat.
Man, I love the way they sound!!
Sounds so smooth
Great lesson here Marty! Worked out at home jamming with two of you. AWESOME time. My only dislike with the video was Sinay talking about the cost of the es335 as it confirms that I will never own one. I thus purchased a Epi Sheraton II several years ago and it is my pauper version of the es335
Love this video! I recently purchased a red, 1984 Gibson ES335 "Lucille" at a swap meet. I had it setup by Skip Goez from St. Louis, MO. He traveled with Eric Clapton in the sixties, and setup his guitars like "Blackie" and "Brownie". They were in Florida for a concert at a Jailai stadium and Skip had "Blackie torn down as far as you can anyway, to re-fret it because it was giving Eric sore fingers! They were watching the players practice, heads turning back and forth, not talking, when Eric asked Skip "are you going to get that back together in time for the show? Lol
Fantastic video Marty!
my dream guitar! one day (hopefully my 18th) i will purchase a 2018 memphis version... a bit more affordable but still feel and sound class! love it
What a beautiful sounding guitar. Amazing...
The dirty knobs. I see how that came about. Absolutely love ES guitars particularly dot necks. Thanks for show and tell🤘
That is truly a delicious sounding guitar, with so many clearly defined tones using just the knobs and switch. What every semi-hollowbody guitar wants to be! (There's a time and place for solidbody's and single coils, too)
That's the guitar Bob Weir bought back in the 60s!!!!!
Foster Valle the tone he got out of that guitar in 74 is the most unique, beautiful tone I've ever heard
Yep they are the perfect guitar ! Specially with the vintage wiring and some good caps they just open up and endless corridor of sound. Really really recommend getting an ES 335.
First love both you boys...thanks for all the content that you provide. Marty's reaction is absolutely priceless when he gets his hands on it. I hope I have the opportunity to play anything with PAFs from 59. It really seams like they are magical.
More like this Marty! We'll be on the lookout
Marty...this was just great video all around. Great interviewing. Amazing guitars. Perfect tones. Great job man! Virtual fist pump.
You sounded awesome Marty!
That opening jam was awesome.
So TRUE !
Beautiful tones :)
i have a 92 made in Nashville i bought a few months back. I'm absolutely in love with it.. i wish he woulda shown the bridge pickup though.. it woulda burned their eyebrows off..
Just wow!
The fumes are keeping the spray guy alive! 😂 good one!
Great Sounds Marty & Jason play on......
Sounds great
They make such a good sound
I loved the guitar Jammin session intro,
What a brilliant tone! I'm a huge fan of the Gibson Memphis series especially the 335 but prefer the 339 due to the dimension. Cheers Marty!
I like the lessons, but I love this content too.
Drooling over thar '59.... Tasty playing, boys!
nice chops marty
its hard to watch it till the end bc its just so good :D and i think i never saw a more versatile guitar
Great !
Awesome
Marty, it would be awesome if you could do a lesson on Jimi Hendrix's version of all along the watchtower. 🤙
Azen Rtaewdya you ask, Marty listens!
Marty, I'mnot down playng the awesomeness of any Gibson equipment as I have quite a few myself. I would like to draw particular attention to your Heritage guitar. You are one of the very few musicians that I know of that play them. Thank you as they are great instruments. Please do more videos on them.
Marty it would be actually amazing if you could a video on the solo of Take it easy from the Eagles, I would actually love that 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Loved the video Marty, wish it had 20 minutes! ❤
'Right here at Norms Rare Guitars'
Good ole Jamming!
that guitar is beautiful
Hey Marty, I think the shape of the pick guard on your guitar looks way cooler.
Sounds great. So what's the difference between gigging it or taking it on the road?
Wow Marty, that is one awesome guitar. I gotta ask - did a little bit of wee come out when you played that first note on it? :|
heeeeeeeyyy whats up Marty! just wanted to say i'm a big fan man you have pretty well have taught me to play guitar. also wanted to make a request if i could, "if it hadn't been for love" and if yea could show us how Chris Stapleton does it that would be awesome!
Beautiful guitars shoot I would be happy with either one of them LOL
Please do a lesson on 'into the void' by black sabbath, keep up what your doing Marty I'm a big fan
I will buy one like right now
Marty, RHCP, SNOW!!! Give it away right now!!!
That's a really nice guitar
despite growing up playing 50's 60's guitars..
I find that companies like Collings and JET Guitars are making far superior instruments
there is a lot of variability in older instruments
some good, some bad
YOU FORGOT "UMAMI"! LOVE THIS EPISODE BROTHER.
Hi marty, im getting epiphone les paul classic 2004 made in korea. There is not much info on net. Do you know something? As little as i found its same quality as standard just old style. Maybe im wrong but can you give me some information if you know.
Marty, you're such a lucky guy....
Hey Marty! Tube Screamer TS9 or Super Overdrive SD-1? I'm going for a Boston/Eagles/Springsteen sound. What do you think?
Thanks Jason, thanks Marty, pretty sure all the '59 players need more care than new pots and a jack - grin
Great! now can you bring a 59 Les Paul standard?
Hi, does anyone know what funk rhythm he's playing from 5.22 to 5.40 ? Thanks.
Marty, you could put the junkiest guitar in John Sinay's hands and it would sound like a million dollar guitar IMHO, but then at 9:40 Marty, you give the 335 great justice in your own right! Congrats on an awesome demo and story on John's vintage 335.
Nice guys!!!! Yo Marty, I was wondering if you could try and teach The first of the yea (equinox) by Skrillex? It would be really cool and nice of ya! Thanks for your constant help!
I want one! :-)
when u getting one Marty? ; ) it sounded sweet
She's a beast, indeed.
U should do all the fenders and compare them all
Brayson Walker YES!
That right there is what a real "relic" guitar should look like.
Strange that his 1000% original 59 335 has reflector knobs, which I thought didn't come into play until 1960.
a 59 with reflector knobs?
Lets get Marty 5 millions subs so he can buy a 59'. Great interview bud.
@5:22, reminds me of witchy woman, would be a great lesson btw
Agreed witchy woman is similar, but unfortunately not the same, I would love to know what it really it called?
I want that fucking guitar
Hey Marty. Love your lessons so much! Could you please do a lesson on "Hearts Dont Break Around Here by Ed Sheeran? And use more finger style? It would really help me. Thanks
Marty,I have owned a Gibson SG JR. White/Blk pickguard since 1970 when new. Please some advice on appraisal and selling. I must sell.🙏✝️🎶
Do Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - French Press
Hahahahaha "the food network"
No disrespect, but I can't help but notice the " reflector knobs yer long guard. This is a '59 ? Thanks, much Dale
Marty probably not gonna see this but I JUST PLAYED WITH LAWRENCE DUMOUNT from SOUNDSTEM
He's my cousin!!!
Looks like Marty's on team Stark.

can you do" black bay" by canines
from the movie" I am not hipster "
I think that Bob weir has that same guitar
Hi Marty, can you please show me how to play Thank You for loving me by Bon Jovi
Freddie King Going Down!
Jason says 1000% original but the knobs are wrong. I love the ES and I love Sinay: that said, the knobs are very wrong. No top hats were used until mid to late 1960.
Ya, I caught that right off too. I'd also be looking closely at the bridge if I had the guitar in hand. Something looked off to me. Can't be definitive though, the phone screen is pretty tiny.
Agrees re knobs. The bridge can very well be a repro on account of the shallow neck angle that carried through into 1959, meaning the original either collapsed or was set aside and a shaved repro was installed.
MARTY PLEASE DO AN ACOUSTIC LESSON OF BEGGARS AND HANGERS ON BY SLASH'S SNAKEPIT IM BEGGING YOU!!!!!
So how did your heritage compare with the original? We didn't get much chance to hear yours.that gibson sounded like butter.
What amp was he using?
Pretty sure that's a mesa boogie Mk V combo behind him
marty please make a guitar tutorial of talking to my self by linkin park for chester bennington please!!!!!
hi, can you please write down strumming pattern of animals-maroon5 song
can you do sister golden hair by america
that guitar cost more than my life
Negan plays good
now bring on a original burst les paul
Oh hey look, my college tuition
Can you teach cats in the cradle
Why is he using a straight jack lead on a 335. It should be right-angled - no wonder the jack socket is crackling. I don't get that he won't risk touring the 59 but risks hitting the straight jack and damaging the jack socket and top. How many 335 tops do we see with that damage caused by using a straight jack. Wouldn't let one near my 59.
Needs to cut his L/H fingernails too.
You think you could teach one of your own songs
