I played with Chilling Mist for a while but found that I'd rather just be pressing R2 the whole time. Plus with the offhand shamshir I was proccing Frost with ease. Plus since 1.10 there's a bunch of other greataxe AoWs that I really want to try going forward on different builds, like Prelates Charge. But we'll see, I've also been throwing around Wild Strikes too since it has pretty great HA and mixup potential. Maybe even Sword Dance out of charged R2...

Great video. I have a build that uses a very similar setup with the Crescent Moon Axe. I also highly recommend CMA with, oddly enough, simple Gravitas. You can get very reliable strings/pseudo combos like gravitas > R1 > R2 roll catch. I think you'll like it
That's an excellent suggestion! I've been using Gravitas a ton on my pure INT build as of late but with the Omen Cleaver chopping R2s to catch those I pull into me. Gravitas on a pure INT build is extremely underrated, great suggestion!
I've been so close to using the Crescent Moon Axe for along time, but I never realized that running heavy was gas. Crescent Moon Axe come back to me my boi.
Waves of darkness has got to be one of the best I-just-want-this-invasion-to-end attack. Doesn't matter how many people there are or what they're using. Give yourself a small amount of space, press the button, have them walk into it, and you'll basically always get to kill at least one person. Alternatively just press L2 and keep running, those waves give you so much time
Finally the Crescent moon axe gets the attention it deserves! This video makes me insanely excited to return to Elden Ring again, combos like 12:45 are just unbelievably sexy! 18:03 STAB
I think the thing that bothers me the most is that there's no longer any ambiguity in terms of who's a bonfire duelist and who's not. Like in DS3 you might invade a decent player because they're just making their way through the game and making their build. But invading and seeing only 1 person standing next to a grace sets off alarm bells in my head because they're either looking for a duel (annoying) or their phantom is hiding somewhere nearby

Also, the ties between Miquella and Godwyn are undeniable, especially with regards to Castle Sol. Another addition to the Elden Ring required reading repository (ERRRR)! You make the crescent axe look so damn good. Eternal thanks to patch 1.06 for buffing greataxes and nerfing Rivers of Bees. (Now fix Rivers again Fromsoft pls)

I've been throwing around a goofy idea for this build that's like a "Spirits and Phantoms" Necromancer build that uses Phantom Slash and the Rosus Axe to summon spirits and have them trade with my opponents on my behalf. Since you're a ghost and fellow ghost enjoyer I thought you might get a kick out of that
It's a shame 1h Great weapons have been indirectly nerfed due to no hyper armour 😣 Let's hope From realises what they've done and gives them some 1h HA love 🙏
I think that's work pretty well, setting up Carian Piercer with an R2 or baiting a roll in with Carian Greatsword only to hit them with an R2 are two pseudo combos I'd definitely go for if I put more INT on this build.
Low level shack duelists are worse than the shack gankers to me. The gankers have a reason to go there, but the duelists think that wasting everyone's time so they can get minor advantages instead of just playing in the arena is cool and epic. Gives me conniptions
EXACTLY. If you want to TT and run through the level, please by all means do that. But just sitting around that stupid shack drives me insane since there is no level for them to play.

You cannot tell me flails are good! I don't hate the Chain Link flail but it's a just ok moveset with no range! I get that it's not parryable and all but I just don't struggle with getting parried. I can get the Argument for uniqueness in Bastard's Stars with it's unique AoW, but the rest of the class just does very little for me that can't be done far better by other weapons
Waves of Darkness is a Death Ash of War because it kills you.

I think it's literally just cuz it's so long that a lot of the time people don't bother to roll it but don't realize they're still in range.
