For all those aspiring singers out there - this guy understands vowel sounds. Sure this song requires range and power. But listen again to Erik's vowels when he sings. It's critical to his performance in this, and really any, song. Great job. I've heard tons of covers of this song. This is, in my opinion, is the best one out there. And it really isn't even close.

I discovered Erik just a couple of nights ago and I can't stop listening to him. All the songs that I've heard him sing are all of my all time favorites, from Journey, Deep Purple, Whitesnake and all the rest that Erik shares on You Tube, and his excution of all of these songs is coming from another dimension. Absolute perfection, incredible singer. Also a big shout out to all the musicians that perform along side Erik, mesmerizing musicianship and masters of their craft.

This kid is a beast. Just saw him on Thursday night (4/14/22) in Las Vegas with Skid Row and he won over the crowd. Myself included. The place went nuts and everyone was hyped and talking about him before the Scorpions came on. He is the real deal.

I’m going to see Skid Row in Pompano Beach, FL on May 20th. I bought my ticket before Erik joined the band and was lukewarm about the show. Now I can’t wait to see them bring the house down.
I was at that Thursday show and I remember being in the men's room between sets and people were commenting all over about how impressed they were.

As a Journey fan myself, I have to say that this is the best cover I've listened to by far and an outstanding vocal rendition of one of Steve Perry's best melody lines ever sung . Skid Row guys are luckiest ones of having such an extraordinary singer aboard as a frontman. All the admiration for your talent and devoted work is well deserved, Mr Grönwall.

When it was announced that Erik is the new singer for Skid Row, I'd never heard of him. After hearing the new single and many other RUclips videos of him performing with the band, it's clear he's the guy for the job. I always thought Johnny was a great singer and never thought any of the others fit the band at all. Erik does. Since then, I've seen video after video of him and this guy is amazing. I'm glad he landed the gig and very glad that Skid Row has a singer who can really bring it.

Erik! this is absolutely amazing. I just wanted to tell you a quick story if you don't mind. I am a caregiver for my father, he is disabled he has not been able to walk since I was about five years old (I am turning 30 in June) & he raised me by himself after my mother left when I was young. Music is something that we have always bonded over, and because he grew up in the 80's, I was for the most part raised around bands from the 70's and 80's. Skid Row has been one of my favorite bands since I was about seven or eight years old and he found H.E.A.T online a few years after you had joined and we were instantly hooked. Now seeing you overcome everything you have and becoming the lead singer of Skid Row has just made us so happy and we are so proud to see you killing it and I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you have done and will continue to do in the future. Keep up all the great work man, you deserve it so much. 😊🤘

Saw the skid row show in Munich 2 days ago and even got the VIP pack where we had the chance to talk with the band for a couple of minutes. Not only is he an amazing singer but also incredibly nice. Even with just a couple of people there, everyone in the band really took their time to make the fans feel welcome. We imagined a band like skid row being used to having thousands of fans at their shows, so why would they care about 10-15 people, but they sat down on the stage and really had a conversation with everyone and everyone could take pictures and ask them questions, it was amazing. Afterwards the concert really felt like you knew the people on stage and it made it feel even more special. The next time they are in germany, I will definitely be seeing them again.

Holy crap! Was referred to this kid from a guy who commented on Tommy Johansson’s version of this tune, which was awesome. Have to say Erik’s vocal prowess is absolutely incredible! Great tone, range and power. Gotta check out more of his stuff!

@ Eric, what would really cool is if you out out album of all original material cut in the same vein as these songs you are covering. There is no doubt in my mind you could release a killer album of "80's" rock. A great album of journey, survivor, tesla, guns n roses style material would be great with you on vocals. By the great, great job killing the Skid Row material. I can't wait for the new album.

Hearing this transported me to the early 80s Christmas Day night. I had finally gotten the Jambox I had wanted for so long and this cassette was my very first. I remember walking down to the silent, freshly snow covered lake, popping this in and pushing play. This was the first song on the cassette and it was pure magic. Kudos to Erik for flawless singing the the band for most excellent playing. Thank you so much.
