      @@ripper5941 Woe woe woe. There may be cases where that is done, but the vast majority of powdered mile, at least here in the USA, is 2 % (so yea, some of the fat is removed but no more than from all 2% milk- which bought by most people even in fresh milk) and a very small amount of soy powder to prevent caking and improve texture. Furthermore, the only additives are Vitamin A and Vitamin D3 - both of which IMPROVE powdered milk's health content over fresh raw. Now, on the downside I will admit the taste isn't great!

An upside for me is that I never have to worry about a container of milk going bad in my fridge, plus one large bag of powdered milk is equivalent to far more milk than I would ever buy at once.

    Can you share one commercial dairy who allows mother cows to spend time with their babies after they are milked? I can't find one in the United States. I have found a very small number of dairies that do that have 50 cows or less but not any commerical dairies, where milk powder comes from. I look forward to your response.

      @thomasprogar3143 10 месяцев назад +12

      @@ohcrap3263 Thanks for your comment. I'm familar with the life of a dairy cow and I know they are not always lactating. If this was the case, they wouldn't be re-impregnated every year on dairies. Just like humans, and all mammals, lactating is based on having a baby. I have heard that some cows lactate for longer but no where near the amount of milk when they give birth. The entire veal industry is based on all these extra calfs that were born at dairies. This just made me think, it's pretty devious of humnas to impregnate an animal to take its milk and not give any to the actual baby.

    • @ugsvciwa
      @ugsvciwa 10 месяцев назад +7

      I think they impregnate the dairy cows annually in order to keep them lactating. If you allow the mother cow to spend even one minute with her baby after it’s born, she will enter the mourning process over the loss of her baby and becomes overwhelmed with grief. But if she never meets her baby, she moves on and seems to not care. It’s very sad. If you allow her to keep her baby, then you must share the milk. The calves are bottle-fed. I don’t think there are any dairies who do milk sharing with the calves. Just some local small scale farmers.

Called homogenised milk. The milk fat is removed to make butter etc. A precise amount is added back to the fat free milk to create regular full fat, skimmed milk etc. Dairy companies claim that by doing this the customers are able to buy a uniform product. @@hpp676 I know the reason behind your fear about Soy products. It is the presence of Isoflavonoid compounds in Soy beans that make many users scary. The truth is-
      1.) You need to consume more than 150 to 200g of soy per day to get the effect of Isoflavonoids in our bodies but hardly we eat 30 to 50g per day for major Soy consumers.
      2.) Lecithin is a natural emulsifier that makes powders like whey protein powder, milk powder easily dissolve in water. Lecithin is present in many foods like Sunflower, soy, eggs etc. These lecithins are used less than 1% of the weight of the product. So in making 1kg milk powder, the lecithin used is less than 10g.
      3.)Soy beans are different from Soy lecithin & both are not the same. Soy contains Isoflavonoids but soy lecithin has nothing. All the major parts of the soy are filtered out to just get lecithin. It is just an emulsifier & nothing else. All the compounds are filtered out. Until unless it is filtered you can't get the lecithin.

    You forgot that it all starts with water evaporating from the ocean and rivers to create clouds and then the clouds create rain. The rain falls and hits the soil where grass seeds germinate, the grass shoots within about 4 days andonce the grass gross to an edible height the cows come along and eats it.
