Because most commercial cows are kept in stalls 24/7 sometimes 365 days a year and never see natural grasses etc. Only farms that are family run and are much smaller concerns have cows grazing naturally. That is why it is better to buy milk products at farmers markets and I assure you that you will never look at commercially made products the same way ever again. Yes, they are as expensive and sometimes more so but at least you are getting the quality you pay for. Commercially made cheeses pale in comparison to the same style of cheese made by hand using traditional methods. Personally, a lot of commercially made cheeses taste like flavoured cardboard in comparison to a hand made cheese of the same variety.

butter production at scale requires modern factories to ensure consistency, quality, and safety. These facilities churn cream, separate butterfat, and package it efficiently while maintaining high standards. It's a balance between tradition and technology! Would you like to learn more about how butter is made in these facilities? 😊
I always use unsalted butter when baking, because the amount of salt in a stick of butter varies. In cooking the variation doesn't matter as much as extra salt can always be added or even reduced.
Indeed, some do but in general not. Fresh grass isn't available in the winter so cows eat fermented hay. In the Netherlands cheese made in the spring from milk from cows released after the winter outside eating new fresh grass is special and tastier than the regular cheese. And yes , there are farms with free cows who can eat and go to get milked whenever they want. Have nice big rubber beds filled with water to rest on while they listen to classic music (the cows prefer classic music)
I hope it is true for many dairy farms , however I haven’t seen a single dairy farm on RUclips that allow the mother cow more then a few minutes with the baby after birth before it is taken away from her for good.
If you were a dairy farmer you would soon learn why this is the practice. If you allow the calf to nurse from the cow for any time length, you run the possibility of the udder becoming infected, which means the cow would have to be medicated, and that would be a loss of the milk for several weeks depending on what medication was used. The calf will become used to the bottle quickly, but will resist the rubber nipple if it has been allowed to use the soft flexible teat on the udder. There is a lot goes into dairy farming and animal husbandry, and means to protect both the cow and calf are paramount, because any loss of milk or calves impacts the bottom line of the operation. Good husbandry usually does not involve a lot of human heart attachment, it just doesn't work in the farming industry!

Pasteurization - heating the milk to destroy the natural pathogens - that together make the other difference. It depends on what the cattle are fed that make the real difference in the taste of the milk.
I will admit that now I really really really want a buttered toasted English mufffin.
I want butter now
Don't we all? 🧈 Spread the love!
butter production at scale requires modern factories to ensure consistency, quality, and safety. These facilities churn cream, separate butterfat, and package it efficiently while maintaining high standards.
It's a balance between tradition and technology! Would you like to learn more about how butter is made in these facilities? 😊
Have you ever wondered what really goes into making that creamy butter we spread on our toast?
From cream to butter in minutes it’s mesmerizing do you like your butter salted or unsalted for cooking
I always use unsalted butter when baking, because the amount of salt in a stick of butter varies. In cooking the variation doesn't matter as much as extra salt can always be added or even reduced.
That's not how the calves are handled after they are born in commercial dairy farms. You know nothing!
What is the French butter company called again? I’d love to try it or send some as a gift!
I am the only who didn't see a butter making process in this video?
So if we use milk what do calves drink?
slaughtered for VEAL
The same thing, but directly from the tap.
Yes, I have noticed how easy it is to find butter from grass fed cows in MY grocery store *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*.
half clip is from milk powders video😁
strange how the mothers were shown only with newborn calves
"oh my god, they are touching butter with bare hands, so unhygienic" says no one on this video.
Imagine this being a factory from India.
Beautifuo
@@rweiselebut you do agree that the video misrepresented how dairy farms actually work...
The mommy cow becomes stressed and sad after losing her baby.
UHT not only kills bacteria but also the taste of milk due to caramelization. Please pasteurize the milk for a far better taste.
UHT is a form of Pasteurisation!
Butter is healthy fat, soo satisfying....
Truth! 🙌 Butter makes everything better!
USING PALM OIL for feed supplement to boost the fat content like in Canada... not so healthy
