ignore the negativity, these are some great tricks taught extremely well. you guys hating on em can't pull 'em off either.... Great content keep it coming Sweetwater!
Brian is an awesome dude and an amazing guitar player. I get all my gear through him and have yet to see him play anything in the store that he can't melt faces with. He definitely knows how to help me melt my wallet. Keep up the awesome videos Brian!
Well done Brian! Thanks for sharing your skills and a great lesson! I think I may have met you briefly at a workshop the service department gave some time ago! Be Well Brother!
Thank you for those tricks I’ve been playing for years and still didn’t know some of them. My question is what model Charvel are you using and what amp are you using to get the sustain also what pickups are in the guitar. Thanks again 🙏 very good tutorial
Hey, Alexander. I would suggest a little bit of both! A nice overdrive can really add some presence to your tone and smooth over the transition from note to note, and little compression can benefit you in the same way in conjunction with it. However, if I were to choose one or the other, I'd use some gain for that purpose. Thanks for the interest! So basically, if no Floyd rose on your Strat, you're not going to be able to do as many cool tremolo tricks... Awesome video though, thanks. Now I know what I'm going to look into doing to mine here soon.
Hey, Scott! Brian is playing a Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 through the Fender Champion 40 1x12" Combo: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DK24HHFRSW--charvel-pro-mod-dk24-hh-fr-m-snow-white www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Champ40--fender-champion-40-40-watt-1x12-inch-combo-amp Thanks for the interest!
I don't know why these techniques don't work on my guitar LOL is there something like a setting needed? Or a specific electric guitar? all of these techniques doesn't work on my electric guitar idk why lol (my guitar is Yamaha eletric guitar)
This is just superb, I've been looking for "how to play lead guitar free" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Ganyatty Guitar Gainify - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
Like the vid, a bit too fast with the talking, You are incorrect in saying heavy dive bombing not gonna happen without a locking trem. You have never played a Core Model PRS, have you?? PRS tremelos on their CORE Model guitars smoke a Floyd. No locking bridge or nut, a great guitar with top notch bridges. Try one one day......you will be converted....prepare to spend at least 3.5 to 4k for a Custom 24.
Fun stuff. Careful though, a guy (or gal) may end up sounding like a third rate eighties shredder. Oh well, there are always sales rep jobs at Sweetwater.😁
After you watch, give this video a thumbs up and subscribe! 😎🤘

Charvel DK24 FR, if it's stock, it has a SD Full Shred in the Bridge and SD 59 in the Neck.

Do you recomend using a compressor pedal for the tapping part or just gain?

music is meant to explored and enjoyed its art at its core there’s no right or wrong way...
5 seconds in and it’s painfully obvious what decade this dude grew up in.
The decade that wasn't lame.

Traditional tapping is pretty lame.

To each one his own.
