Set it up by pressing the cobra emblem on the steering wheel when the car is in park and customize your settings completely and then every time you toggle the switch toggle it to the cobra emblem and your setting is saved, it’s super easy and honestly shouldn’t be a complaint weighing in what you get pound for pound with this car.

Well, Ford shares several components across several cars (Ecosport, focus. You name it, they probably share something), Surely some of the buttons there can easily be found in a focus. Personally, I am not bothered by the feel of buttons, more of how connected you feel to the road while driving
Android Auto and Apple Carplay are revolutionary. No longer do we have to settle with proprietary nav systems or having to Jerry rig our phones on the windshield as alternate methods. Just a simple pair through your car and boom, simplicity.
The MSRP for a GT500 is still pretty fair. The motor, the supercharger, the DCT, magride are all expensive components. There are Porsche’s out there costing more that don’t have Apple car play. Your car does. Use that for a much better navigation experience.
@@huracon6606 Yup, I average 13.5 mpg in mine with almost no highway. Track mode is probably why he only gets 8mpg though, unlikely it ever goes into 6th/7th gear. I average about 21-22mpg going 75 on the highway.
Correction my friend, as a professional Mustang enthusiast (for over four decades)😆 The average Stang guy doesn't buy a GT500 for track duty, they buy it for real world, drag strip, light-to-light prowess, and Mustang prestige and heritage! 😉 They've built a version of this serpent specifically for the track my friend!
I get 12.7 MPG out of mine, but yeah, the range at full is about 200 miles. I don't drive mine hard all that much as it hasn't yet had its first oil change. The DCT and its dial shifter doesn't bother me, as I previously had a '17 NSX which has a push button shifter that's arguably worse. If there was a manual option, I'd have gone for it. The nav I don't use, as I use Apple Car Play in mine. You make good points and I agree, but like you I also love the car. In fact, as a daily driver it's much, much better than the NSX. Mine is very similar to yours with the same options, but in gray with the painted stripes, and I got it for 101K, not 120K.
Would have much preferred up/down toggle switches as well, so on point there. I'm just glad the car drives well enough to distract me from the issues I found
That's BS.. Ford has the MT82 which handles up too 600/700 Wheel, and the Tremic can handle up to around a 1000 wheel. As long as you put the right clutches in them...
Driving that thing in track mode cause u wanna hear more exhaust is what’s draining ur tank. Drive it in normal around the city & I bet ur mpgs are night and day. Ur not driving on a track why use the mode? That mode is meant to let the engine eat at higher speeds and rpms. I daily drive my Mach 1, I’m getting 24.4mpg..granted it’s a dif engine but it’s still a high perf multi mode track vehicle

Right. I dont even get why he complained about the gas either even after he says he knows not to expect it
I love that you addressed the manual or lack of... i feel like eventually i will just give up on sports cars if everything new is paddle. Atleast the 350 is a great stick but the 500 would have been glorious!
Unless you are a professional driver you wouldn’t survive in this car with a manual
you need to try it before you knock it, i thought that too before i got one
@@rtreyk i hear u bro its better in every way but i feel like i have nothing to do, my favorite car was my e46 m3 and my buddy had a better one with a blower and smg and i hated it, no fun to me. I also had a spin in a brand new r8 spider and i felt the same, i felt like i was in a fast vw , its hard to explain but when i see a nice car and no stick im like 😒
I gotta say the most surprising thing to me was the range or lack thereof... That is crazy
In this episode. Parker imitates Ru Paul, and critiques the Ford Mustang GT-500.
Gee, I wonder maybe if you drove in ANY drive mode OTHER THAN TRACK MODE you might get more fuel economy than 8 mpg!!!! If you want a manual, buy a used gt premium then spend 15k in upgrades then you can have a supercharged stang that will have motorsport suspension and 750 hp that will keep up with any gt500 and 1/3 the cost and every bit as capable.
I wonder if they could install a larger fuel cell for you? I wonder how your mileage compares to the C8?
It only has one mission in life go fast, turn and stop. Steering weight, brake pedal feel are a must then the seats.
Gt 350 or the Mach 1 for mere mortals....much better for track and daily driving....great video thank you!!
Sports car smaller tank means less weight . Buy a f150 has better navigation and steel speaker grills. Ford takes great pride in cutting cost.
how the heck you averaging 8mpg? I'm getting 15
Is it possible to install regular stick shift😵
The MSRP for a GT500 is still pretty fair. The motor, the supercharger, the DCT, magride are all expensive components.
There are Porsche’s out there costing more that don’t have Apple car play. Your car does. Use that for a much better navigation experience.
That's why i'd have to have a manual in a Stang
People always say they messed up buying the gt500 then months later you'll regret selling it after you realize not that many car can compete with it
Ways to fix the gas issue. Just put it in normal mode
When you have a Lead foot you’re lucky to get 8 MPG 😆
Exactly
I daily drive mine and get about 13 mpg. I drive fast and get on the gas often, so he must be going wide open at every stop light.
@@huracon6606 Yup, I average 13.5 mpg in mine with almost no highway. Track mode is probably why he only gets 8mpg though, unlikely it ever goes into 6th/7th gear. I average about 21-22mpg going 75 on the highway.
@@huracon6606 it’s the only way to drive that thing 😄🤘🤘
About the navigation ask if BMW or Porsche navigation looks like 130k-200k
They do tho?
are u 4 feet tall why u so close to the steering wheel?
literally every automaker says "door ajar"
Wow good points. Especially the plastic buttons. Carbon would look awesome. Do they sell aftermarket carbon?
These push button and spin wheel transmission controls can be deal breakers.
Lol yea sure buddy
I have a Audi RS5 but german engines are a shit show.
Is the 500 in your opinion a good, reliable daily driver?
I would order one with a tremec manual only
Would have much preferred up/down toggle switches as well, so on point there. I'm just glad the car drives well enough to distract me from the issues I found
6:01 yo This was the hardest I laughed all day 🤣🤣🤣 “are you kidding me”
That gear sundial and 09 Nissan Altima screen and buttons are absolutely absurd for the price tag of that car.
That's BS.. Ford has the MT82 which handles up too 600/700 Wheel, and the Tremic can handle up to around a 1000 wheel. As long as you put the right clutches in them...
We Love You Here In South Africa Parker🇿🇦🇿🇦Keep Up

Vs C63s?
The best thing I think you've ever said lmaoooo. Perfect for water bottle sized legs 🤣 7:32
If you want a manual, get the 350
I had a 2005 ford mustang and the speakers in that year model looked fantastic and sounded great as well but sadly i don't have that car anymore.
When you say plastic buttons? What do you want gold ones?
At 78k msrp it's what's expected. But with the 20k markups it's not.
I know I’ll get some hate but I’ve got a 1le on order specifically because of no manual. The gt500 is an amazing vehicle though!
Good Review! We all know your paying for the powertrain and chassis on these cars! The creature comforts are left for european cars! I still love my 22 CFTP GT500! Best car ive ever owned! Will never let her go!
as a student and car enthusiast, i wanted this car but then was like... gas so high rn
how u say ridiculous, is so insane bro.. loved the vid 😄
