@@saucyp123 lmao just get a mustang gt that’s my realistic dream car and if u want u can’t make them look pretty similar to the gt500 u might get some hate from car people but just put on the gt500 front bumper and add two stripes and the gt500 spoiler then it’ll look very similar do the hood too and I’m pretty sure it looks the exact same never seen a gt500 in real life tho they might be bigger
i love how he blurs out the speedometer when it goes above 100 lmao
Ford is on a roll. The European ST models are also so great, specially the new Fiesta ST.
I’ve got an American ST and I love it but those euro ones are nuts
Same garbage transmission too
@@Ryan-yi5ro they are manual.
@@castroalves8843 It's not a manual, is a dual clutch transmission which as proven with the Focus/Fiesta etc are complete garbage.
@@Ryan-yi5ro I’m talking about the European version of the 8th generation Fiesta ST, which is only sold in manual.
I love it when you just want to watch some interesting car review and randomly discover cool channels like this one! Ez sub
The dad jokes are great, keep them coming.
So here I am in 2023. I searched the nation for one.
I got it locally, oddly enough, and I absolutely could not be more impressed.
Btw I own a C8 as well.
The GT500 is truly one of the most thrilling, well thought out, amazing cars ever produced.
Period.
You cannot go wrong. - Don't hesitate.
You go around once.
This was so exciting to watch, I can only imagine how exciting this must have been to drive!
The thing is stupid fast. With the track pack added, it feels even faster with the lighter wheels. It’s absolutely a different car after 5000 rpm for sure. And you’re right about the the dct, the guys complaining are GT and GT350 owners that don’t understand the power
Wow Mexico’s roads are looking nice this time of year
Yea like the North East lol!
I love how he waited to blur the number until about 100 and then said that's a big number, as if 40 MPH over the speed limit I assume wasn't enough.
A POV ride of this car that’s what I love
7:05 No one is behind us, let’s do a brake test.
The invisible boat mobile right behind him: 🚗💥🚗
wow at 12:26 the red car in the side mirror really puts the acceleration into perspective
I just drove one of these through xtreme experience at loudon in NH!! All i can say is what an animal this car is! Had a good laugh at the end of my drive… 33 miles till empty with a half tank of fuel 🤦🏻♂️😂😂
Yo I live in nh too
I'm not a Ford guy, but they have (in my opinion) perfected the muscle car exhaust note. They took that classic 60's Steve McQueen sound and brought into the modern age.
Ford is awesome at 1) sports cars 2) trucks 3) SUVs. They sell a ton of all 3 an lead there respective classes with those vehicles. I love Ford. An all American icon & goin strong 120yrs later. You should really drive one sir. You may be very impressed. All my whole family buys! F150s, Aviators, Explorers, Escapes.
@@Davido50 exactly ford is known all around the world nd sells very well, I can’t say the same with chevy and dodge
Cars are so well thought out...amazing engineering...speed and handling is icing on the cake.
Headphones mandatory for this one!
Its nice. Its a Shelby. I make 780 RW HP in my 2017 and get to row thru the gears just something about shifting with all that HP that takes it to the next level while driving.
*"I can't drive this for another 25 minutes-- I'll get arrested!"*
I am determined to own one someday and it will be my baby for the rest of my days. This is my dream car right here just make it blue.
Gotta respect the dog walkers 😤
Heck yeah! Plus that doggy big. Would happily pull her into the road for a sniff of that squirrel lol
learned a couple things and gained perspective from this video. so cool when a car guy who also has an engineering degree (not saying you're the only one here on YT, Tedward) does the review.
1:32 sounds like an absolute beast!
That's my dream car just with the sound alone I'm looking forward getting one in the following future
The only problem with this car is the price and the fact that a used 350 for 50-60k is a near identical experience, but with a stick, and "slower" for the street. Yes please.
Clearly, your comment of “a near identical experience” shows how limited your knowledge is between the GT350 and this new GT500. I have both, and theeeeey arrrre drastically different cars in every way.

@Ricky Anthony …Ok you caught me, I’m only saying I have both to impress “Ricky Anthony”. Wish I could have tricked ya into believing a total stranger, that could give a crap less what you think.😂😂👍🏼
I like that you didn't pass people at 140mph, and you respected their space. Lots of people that review cars honestly should be arrested for racing their mustangs on highways full of other people
I made a walkaround on this beast. I love color of this Shelby! The sound on this is so beautiful.
You def need to not give these keys to just anybody. The traction control works very well on this vehicle but you can def feel the rear end trying to get out in front of itself. It's a dangerous car for sure. I've been driving fast acceleration cars since I was 17 yrs old. I'm 56 now and I still get surprised. Caution people.
Only when u go fast
Reminds me of everyone who shorts the 1200$ extra on abs for sports bikes.
As an owner of this monster! Very nice daily, my grandmother could drive this car no problems
Ur lucky man sir! I suggest u add a new Mach 1 to ur stable if you have the means. Those 2 Stangs will only appreciate in future! I have a '20 F150 Raptor! Im a truck guy so I got the best:)
@@Davido50 thanks man, I was looking at one, but not for a while, ya I like the raptors and seen couple of the Shelby trucks too
Saw a 77 year old guy driving one of these on the Cherohala Skyway… what. A. Car!!! He looped back around to show it off to us. He came flying in like a pit stop and said “how do ya like that fellas?!” He hit 125 along the Skyway which is just stupid. Unreal car and I hope I can be like that guy at 77!!
Would like to see Shelby GT350R next. Less power but its a stick and more controllable than the 500. Wont terrify you on the twisties
Its ran its life cycle. Very successful 5yr run! Can't get new anymore. The new Mach 1 is up now. Im on waiting list for next one comes to state of Ohio! Dep dwn since Mar. Can't wait.
@@Davido50 I saw a new Mach 1while at the dealership and I can confirm that machine is gorgeous
@@Davido50 yes but the GT350 pops and crackles like Coco Puffs with a little milk. The GT350 hugs curves very well. However you can get a nice track package for the GT500.
@@Davido50 Yep, it's becoming a lost art with all cars. Drivers are losing their understanding and "feel" for their cars. Those who have never driven a stick, will never understand. Today's drivers, (especially younger ones) just want to mash the pedal and go fast. Probably won't matter for long - it'll be all electric before you know it.

Driving a bright green mustang with racing stripes. "I don't wanna be noticed" lol
Man this thing sounds so good...
Love this Mustang but in a different colour.
In Britain we didn’t get to buy the Mustang from Ford until 10 years ago and it has become a reasonably common sight on the roads here 👍.
But not the Shelby GT500 which is a beast.
I’m sure Ford, if it was financially worth it, could built a 4WD Mustang with handling to match any factory car in the world as they can already build great engines.
If I won the lottery I would own a 2022/23 Shelby Mustang for fun with a Focus ST as my daily car.
Ford are an amazing company with a fabulous history in every area of racing whether F1, NASCAR, European Saloon Cars, drag racing or rallying Ford have won in it.
I think the color is great, I wanted to paint my 51 studebaker pu this color. “ Gotta have it green “ the cost for the paint was crazy
This car is amazing. Great video, very entertaining.
One of the best sounding v8 if ever heared.
"I don't wanna be noticed"
*Grabber Lime*
Welp lol
80mph in 2nd is absolutely insane this cars acceleration is definitely addicting
13:18 SAYS IT ALL
2:59 literally doesn't even look real. What a car
My brother has a gt350 r and it's a riot to drive with 700 hp I can just imagine how the gt500 feels
driving a fast car is like getting the toy you've wanted for months at Christmas. Just makes you giddy
People will say that this is late to the party, dodge had this power a long time ago, yeah yeah. This is refined.
Dodge does have more power, but crap handling. This car is overall excitement. Just like the Trx, more power but nose/heavy as hell boat anchor. That truck is a joke. They had all that time to make that truck and it is a joke..

Here, watch this video and see who won.
Oh yeah the GT500 accelerated faster than Hellcat and gapped it. 200 MPH brick get gapped by a 182 MPH Sports Car, Dodge loser 🤣
@@johnt6673 because all Chrysler did was take a 25 year old Mercedes platform that only ever had 500hp in it at the most, threw 700-1000hp at it and called it a day. Those cars are designed to make as much money as quickly as possible with good marketing and a low IQ customer base.
The Challenger is for posers. The Mustang is for actual car people.
Rented one for a full week. It will take you 2-3 days to get a hang of this car. Either you respect it or you will crash. This things spins wheels at third gear. But once you are out in the open, on your own, with great roads, it will got to 180 mph limited with so much easy. It sounds amazing but it can be real quiet on quite mode. Sport mode is loud, and track mode is simply terrifying.
W O W (finally my username is vindicated)
the chain sound when he opened the hood sums up modern sports cars. so quiet under the hood but straight beasts. its kinda funny
6:50 i`m German and I never laughed so hard in my life.
I get nervous driving my '14 v6 in the rain because of the rears, i cant even imagine what this would be like lmao
It would be like Tokyo Drift lol
S550's handle the rain miles better than the S197, even with the difference my girlfriends 13 GT feels fine in the rain even being a bit aggressive. My S550 just handles better overall.
The fact you were going 80mph in 3rd gear with only 4rpm is insane.
Just drove one one these myself. It’s an incredible car!
Looks stunning🔥🔥
In Germany there are no speed limits on certain freeways .If want you can test your muscles cars if you want,
“Put a ton of miles on this thing.”
Yes. 💙
This should come with a registration to motorsportsreg.com, and a weekend event at a track that summer.
I have a 2020; best sounding car I ever heard; first thing I do after starting is put exhaust in track mode 😃 Definitely not overkill for the street, super easy to drive.
It is a bit over kill for the street lol. But badass none the less
What’s the fastest gear on the Shelby? Sport?
@@gaberozenfeld8731 track and drag strip mode are the most aggressive.

At the end of the day, it is a Mustang, and they love a good crowd! 😂
Just awesome. The whole aura, color The GT 500 is what a new Mustang is all about.
Man despite the loss of performance I’d much rather have a stick shift. The driving experience matters too.
Personal preference really but I respect it
Damn straight!. With a stick, you're also more at one with your car. Just not the same with these paddle shifters.
I've driven almost everything from classics to super cars and one of the best times I've had was in an Audi A3 with a DSG gearbox and this was about 15 years ago! Those transmissions are bananas!
Yes but just not the same as a stick. You're losing your "understanding and feel" of your car. Know what I mean?
I'd take a GT350R over it. To me, the 350 is the perfect middle ground between performance, and dailyability
The new Mach1 is available an awesome! A GT 5.0 on steroids! Get one if u can.
I appreciate that he clicked his feet together outside the car before getting in the car 👌
i love him cus he shaked his shoes befor he put his legs in the car
this car goes 0-100 faster then my car goes 0-60 😂
the 0-100 is INSANE
