Sammy is officially in the coolest gig on the planet. Cruise the world hang with buds, jam tunes and talk about the business and good times. Learn about the lives of others' journeys and experiences. Come on man
i love hollywood - just the music vibe (don't care about the movie stars). First time there was 1989. Took 101 all the way down from SF and saw Santa Barbara, Malibu, all the great beach towns then hit Cowenga exit with NO idea where to go - found a motel with a vacancy and had a ball.
I went to Pasadena City College with Mike Anthony. I knew all the Van Halen boys. I was a drummer, I still am. Went on to be a professional free lance guy. I love The Red Rocker. Awesome personality, singer and guitar player. I saw the original Allman Bros. Band on the same Wiskey Ago go stage as in the video, same year. That was a better era for music.
If there is a nicer pair of rock stars than Sammy and Michael, I've yet to see them. These two are just way too down to earth for how famous they are. 👏
BLUE OYSTER CULT, VAN HALEN,IT DOESN'T MATTER HE HAS THE BEST VOICE IN ROCK AND ROLL, these are the people that got me through 4 years of high school, 4 years of college, and 4 more years med school, followed by 30 year career in medicine, these folks inspired me to be the very best woman i could be,Thank you all
Glad Michael Anthony is getting involved with this great work!! Keeping Rock 🎸 “n” Roll Alive!! Straight up in tune, Tommy is as strong 💪 as ever not even breathing hard!!. They should do some work together. Aside from all he said, Sammy is an exceptional musician
Sammy, Mikey and Tommy! Oh what fun! Sammy your favorite music store “ Liers” in SB I’ve heard great stories from the Draper family about your history there. Apparently when Tom sold the store in 1977 the inventory came up 1 guitar short, lol. Rock on!
Ok kids......now THIS is how it's done......Sammy is right about playing that tune and singer it......to pull both off is hard......and the dude is over 70 and BRINGS IT, and Tommy was really on point, a very underrated drummer. His offstage antics detract from his actual skill. Mad Mike is the dream bassist for any band needing both backing vocals and bass. If you have not seen Sammy and the Circle.....you are missing out on probably the best, genuine live classic rock act out there now.
Something that DLR hasn't got compared to Sammy: the humility. I mean Sammy looks like the kind of guy that would invite anyone into his dressing room and realize you're looking at a modest human being that you can just share stories with.
Sammy is just like a good whiskey, he becomes better and better with years! And seriously, I'm really impressed how he's been looking and rocking at his 75 ! Seventy fucking five! Man!! Happy Birthday, Sammy! Keep rocking!! 🤟
Blackstar amps on the stage at the Whiskey? Man.. Don't get me wrong, I own a 'lil Blackstar amp myself for practicing at home . Nice amp but is really want to see some Marshalls up there..
RIP Hollywood House Of Blues...by far, it was the very best club in Hollywood to see and hear a great act. Great stage and excellent sound and lighting. Good menu too! I saw UFO, Billy Idol, Judas Priest, Status Quo, Motorhead, Mountain, King Crimson and many, many more.
Sunset Strip Rock n Roll! So much history! I love watching the old clips from the 60’s-80’s there. Oh Yeah! That was badass! ❤️🔥🎸🎶😘 I Love Rock Candy! Great jam! Thank You! 🎸🔥🎶
I’d love to see Sammy do a video like this with Stryper! Absolutely one of the most important bands to come off of the strip I really enjoy seeing Sammy and Michael doing this events together too, just seems like a great out of friends hanging out and playing some jams, nothing fake or forced. Tommy Lee for sure was really cool to see, he did an awesome job on these tracks! Surprised me for real!
That was such a killer version, would love to see these 3 do some off the cuff shows. Speaking of Whiskey a Go Go..... Sammy!!!! you 3 should do some small sets, would be EPIC.
Great connection between all three! I would like to be the fly on the wall to see the tunes that they played after a few more tequilas after the video! A special thank you to Sammy for putting this together.
Sam and Mikey: Two CLASS acts, and they aren't acting either. Also a big shoutout to AXS TV for the concept behind his show....and the GUESTS have been superb.
Sammy is just one of the coolest cats ever man. Back in the mid 80s I was in my first band and we badly covered I can't drive 55 that song was so fun to play and scream to. I remember spending the entire summer trying to figure out Ed Kings sweet home Alabama solo. Man those were the days and they're never coming back...
NOT that it's really relevant here, but I went to see VH during the 5150 tour, and the 1st part of the encore was them doing Rock Candy. Pretty damn special for me. RIP Ronnie, and Eddie.
Sammy you should try to organise a music festival like 83. I,m sure you if anyone could pull it off, it could be Mickey's and your reunion show with Van Halen hopefully getting Joe to carry the banner for Edd if Wolfgang couldn't do it. Alex talked about it. I,m sure Eddie would like to see it happen. I,m sure millions of people would love to see that. One can only dream.
Check out the group Gypsy from the early 70's. They were the Whisky house band back in the day and were awesome. Hendrix apologized to them for naming his album Gypsy by the same name.
Sammy you are truly the man. I still listen to Montrose. You are also the one and only "Real Burger King King". Haha! Joking with you. Love the videos man keep it up. The one with Ted took me way back. Im in Charlotte NC and we love you here!
No one can say Tommy Lee can't play. The dudes an animal. That was a great job.
He gets overlooked because of the flashy image, his personal life, etc... He can flat out bust the drums. Love him.
This was a good one. I just never wanted it to end.
Every Sammy Hagar video make me so happy, Michael Anthony, Sammy and Tommy Lee playing together is a delight ❤
Sammy is an underrated guitar player! Red Rocker rocking the night away in Tommy's luscious studio with Michael Anthony and Tommy Lee Baby!!!
Sammy is officially in the coolest gig on the planet. Cruise the world hang with buds, jam tunes and talk about the business and good times. Learn about the lives of others' journeys and experiences. Come on man
And Im sure he has plenty of (well deserved) money to go along with it.

Sammy, I forgot what a great guitar player you are. That was fuckin'AWESOME!

Hagar? Naw.
Boy I miss your rock and roll road show
Sammy's vocals sound as good today in 2022 as he did in 1986 with Van Halen.
Yeah, he's kind of kept a low profile
This channel is the best therapy for the blues......and *THE ROCK!*
6:11 Man that sounds incredible! Tommy is playing the sh/t out of those drums. 🔥
Sammy, Mikey and Tommy! Oh what fun! Sammy your favorite music store “ Liers” in SB I’ve heard great stories from the Draper family about your history there. Apparently when Tom sold the store in 1977 the inventory came up 1 guitar short, lol. Rock on!
Damn, wish they had done a couple more, they sound good together
Ok kids......now THIS is how it's done......Sammy is right about playing that tune and singer it......to pull both off is hard......and the dude is over 70 and BRINGS IT, and Tommy was really on point, a very underrated drummer. Killer. Awesome to hear those three do Rock Candy! This made my mother f*cking day!! 🤘
This jams! Love listening to Sammy and all his stories on his radio show every Saturday night from 10 to 12!
What’s his radio station? Is it on XM radio?
@@MrMetz2112 No it's on local 92.5 here in the Cincinnati area. It's got to be on some station in your area!
Wow! Those three should put out an album.
Man, this was the jam I needed on a Friday morning.
Amazing Job Sammy, Michael and Tommy 👍🎼🎤🥁🎸🎼👍. Greetings from Las Vegas N.V.
That jam was wicked. I retrospectively went back and dug into Montrose after this inspired me. Some brilliant songs
Don't forget Gamma!!!
Something that DLR hasn't got compared to Sammy: the humility. I mean Sammy looks like the kind of guy that would invite anyone into his dressing room and realize you're looking at a modest human being that you can just share stories with.
Tommy actually is too, in fact all of Motley was, the first few years they'd stop and shoot the shiz with just about anyone.
Great Jam Session! Love that song too! Haven't heard it in a very long time!
*These three truly Rocked It! Wooooooo!*
Sammy is just like a good whiskey, he becomes better and better with years! And seriously, I'm really impressed how he's been looking and rocking at his 75 ! Seventy fucking five! Man!! Happy Birthday, Sammy! Keep rocking!! 🤟

Sammy has so much energy! Very cool!
I lived in Hollywood for 6 months. I went to all these places. Quite an experience for a small town boy.
I appreciate you Michael Anthony
I’d love to see Sammy do a video like this with Stryper! Absolutely one of the most important bands to come off of the strip

You can't talk about The Whiskey a Go Go without mentioning The Doors! Great episode.
That was such a killer version, would love to see these 3 do some off the cuff shows. Speaking of Whiskey a Go Go..... Sammy!!!! you 3 should do some small sets, would be EPIC.
A lot of people don't know sammy's an ax slayer they should make some music together they jamed
That story about Cream is so rad
And that Rock Candy was exceptional!
Tommy got them 9' spider arms that can hit any drum 3x harder or faster than you'd expect
Great connection between all three! I would like to be the fly on the wall to see the tunes that they played after a few more tequilas after the video! A special thank you to Sammy for putting this together.
I've been lucky to have stepped foot on that stage while I was visiting LA for Motley Crue new years eve concert
Sam and Mikey: Two CLASS acts, and they aren't acting either. Also a big shoutout to AXS TV for the concept behind his show....and the GUESTS have been superb.
All three kicked ass... and that Sammy can still hit those notes is amazing.
Can we see you three hit the road?!?!?!!?!? Love the slow-mo of Tommy's Cymbals!! Shows his power!!!
man, i was hoping they would do a few more songs !
Sammy is just one of the coolest cats ever man. Back in the mid 80s I was in my first band and we badly covered I can't drive 55 that song was so fun to play and scream to. This is awesome! I would have loved to been in the room!
This two awesome dude having a conversation like they weren't in a band before 😂
Love this! Sounds like Nuno playin' the acoustic.
There needs to be a good documentary about those three paces... Whisky a Go Go, The Rainbow Room, and the Roxy. Somebody call Sam Dunn!
NOT that it's really relevant here, but I went to see VH during the 5150 tour, and the 1st part of the encore was them doing Rock Candy. Pretty damn special for me.
RIP Ronnie, and Eddie.
420 years old and still ROCKING hard

Sammy and Anthony are always smiling when I see them. Wonder if they have bad days like all of us or are they always making the best of things?
