I swear when I hear that guitar start every rose I’m transported to 1987 I’m in a parking lot on a hot summer night with all friends hiding our beers and hollering at girls and not a care in the world, not even understanding how good my life was at that moment.
that's some back to the future shit there man..
I graduated in 1988 This was my music
I always had massive respect for Bret Michaels as a musician, but when I discovered how much charity work he does every year... what fantastic guy he is! does so much work for kids with Down Syndrome but he never advertise it to the world. It would be easy celebrity points for him, but he really does it for the cause
Brett Michaels........"musician" hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

@@toernebohmiteAnd who are you??A nobody lol.
Some people just have no heart they are just a selfish kind of person. He is a great guy I don’t know him personally, but I do know someone that did one night. I’m like really u go girl, and it’s a true statement
Hallelujah
I'm 35 and can't play any musical instrument, but this is the only song I can play and sing with a guitar. That's how much I love this song.
This is the kind of stuff we need to keep us going in times like this
1000%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amen❤
😂😂😂
What time is it?🤡
survive until january of 25 😂
"See this is therapeutic to me right now." So true Bret!!
A friend of mine is a music therapist.
Both of these performers have true humility and I respect and love that
you clearly don't know what humility is.
🤣🤣🤣
Was that FUN or what!!
Oh yes babygirl. Thank you so much for your endless love and support I’m glad to have you as a fans and a great supporter of mine. Bret played in our little town of macomb Illinois (20,000) in a very small bar, he was the most gracious and down to earth guy you could meet, he told stories along with playing his hits, and made you feel that he was happy to be there!!!!!
I have seen poison multiple times... and Bret ALWAYS comes with so much energy. He runs around the stage, sings his ass off. It's always a show with alot of energy. Thank you, Bret
Speaking of running around the stage, this one's a doozy: I'll never forget the night Rikki (Rockett) stripped down to nothing and ran all over the stage wearing nothing but a sock. That was hilarious.

I was in Atlanta GA with my pops doing an antique show in 1990, I was 14 at the time. My dad and a few of his friends and I went to a small bar/restaurant to have dinner. Only empty seats were at a large table in the corner and this guy yells out, here grab a seat and I yelled out, holly shit, its Sammy Hagar!! Lol We all sat with him and a couple other guys, had dinner, dad had drinks with him and Sammy paid for everything. My pops had weed and Sammy lit up a joint right in the place and nothing was even said. One down to earth guy for sure, great experience and time I'll never forget.
I met Bret back in 1995 , one of the nicest guys you could ever meet , he shook hands with every body at Tower Records and made sure to sign every single CD he was given to.....
Absolute magic when they played, Sammy jumped in like they played it a 1000 times together.
After he joined VH, people forgot Sammy could play.

Thank you.
"Every Rose" was the first song I ever performed in 7th grade at a talent show. The next day arriving to homeroom, literally everyone looked at me when I walked in the room in absolute disbelief that I could do that. It was in that moment that I understood the power of being a musician. It changed my life from that moment on. Bret has always been a musical hero of mine. So has Sammy for that matter.

Bret aged well, looks like he takes care of himself, not only he looks healthy but his voice sounds good. The same can be said about Sammy, it`s unbelievable this guy is 75 and still rocking.
Brett seems so sweet and humble. Nice guy.
Hello Michelle

Nice meeting you here
Best thing I've seen on RUclips in years!
Brett Michaels is honestly one of the nicest guys. I remember he was playing Secrets and Ocean City MD, and early in the day he was in the bar/restaurant hanging out. Literally took time and talked to everyone, did not seemed bothered at all and seem genuinely happy to meet everyone.

Luv these two...got a hug from Brett and before Sammy cut his hair he performed in Anaheim and I made a sign that read: Sammy let us touch it before you cut it..and he let me and my friend run our fingers through his hair....Real Men of Rock and Roll..
Hello ma’am, you seems like a great fan and how long have you been? You ever been to any concert shows either ? 🥰

Sammy is so great at interviewing
About 15 years ago, I had a one on one conversation with Brett for about a half an hour where I worked... what a great guy. He told me that story about "Rose"...and also said his record company didn't want to produce it so he did it himself! He was just like talking to your next door neighbor. Ill always remember that!
I've been playing guitar for 39 years as of February '23...
Every Rose was the first song I could sing and play at the same time...
Major Accomplishments
for me.
Started writing my own music about 3 weeks later.
Thank You Mr. Micheals
I am 46 and still this song brings tears and memories. Thank you
I'm 46 too! We grew up with the best music!
When I made my first post I didn't hear You're Momma don't dance....this is priceless!!!
Brett can play that harmonica good now👍
This was a good time.
Rock on fellas💪
Dude Every Rose Has its Thorn is on my list of the ten best songs ever written. It is Truly TIMELESS.
Every rose is one of the best songs of the 1980s
Played this song in '89 high school talent show with my first band....Followed by Your Momma Don't Dance, Fade To Black and Girls School... Those were the days..
I was hoping he was going to say AC/DC and he actually did!! Great performances of those wonderful Poison tunes and Sammy you don't look your age ! Keep on rocking brothers!!

"Every Rose Has it Thorn" hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles, in the fall of 1988; you needed good songs to top the charts on those days, the competition was ferocious!
...AND, became the #3 hit of 1989 (behind "My Prerogative" (Bobby Brown) & "Look Away" (Chicago) ...here's the Top Ten in their last week, of their 4 week stay at #1, Dec. 1988 / Jan.1989... (cont.)
10. Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson
9. Armigeddon It - Def Leppard (spelled wrong on purpose by me, for YT visibility)
8. Look Away - Chicago
7. Waiting For A Star To Fall - Boy Meets Girl
6. Don't Rush Me - Taylor Dayne
5. In Your Room - Bangles
4. Giving You The Best That I Got - Anita Baker
3. Two Hearts - Phil Collins
2. My Prerogative - Bobby Brown
1. ***Every Rose Has It's Thorn*** - Poison (4th week of 4 weeks)

Does it get any better than Brett and Sammy??!! Two national treasures!
Better than Brett? Yeah, *most* of Brett’s contemporaries are *much* better than him.
@Nabor Simbor I have ears
We've gotten old, fellow rockers, but what a good run we've had!
Honor and respect for his father and mother... You know he is a genuinely good man and a good father. "Every Rose has its Thorn" is the legendary rock ballad... Perfection.
Every Rose Has its Thorn - so true in so many ways - it is a very relatable song. Long live the days of the "80's hair bands".
how I love Bret Michaels and love poison so much. Greetings from Peru.

Brett is the real deal!! 2 great guys 🤘🤘
Those two looked liked long lost best friends. Two of the coolest guys in rock n roll.
Bret and Sammy. Two of the greatest voices in rock, that's for damn sure.
Well, maybe Sammy. But.......🤔
i nearly spit my coffee when i read that. I think what you meant to write was "Bret and SAMMY... one of the greatest voices in rock" 😆😂
Neither are good.....
I adore Bret. Several years ago, my friend and I got to spend some time with Bret. We were planning the FIRST-EVER Poison convention and Bret was really excited and loved us for it.
And however sweet he seems to be is exactly how sweet he is in real life.

Certainly had my old feet tapping away whilst I’m in bed with a damn head cold. If that's a good time in a great great memory thank you thank you for making her live as a diabetic in a wheelchair come alive and being more the words can say thank you sir, she has passed away , but that precious moment we as husband and wife to poison and songs we grew uwith can never be put into stone as etched upon the tabulator...

That's why it was such a great song, it was raw, true and from the heart and that's why it connected with millions of people. I loved it when it first came, something about it felt so real. And hey Brett still sounds great !
Blessings to your Dad, Bret! I hope that he has many more years to come of spending time with you and enjoying your music. Oh, and thank you for the soundtrack of my youth! I was just listening to "Fallen Angel" and "Nothing But a Good Time" the other day. My favorite lyric of that song is:
You see I, I raise a toast to all of us
Who are breakin' our backs every day
If wanting the good life is such a crime
Lord, then, put me away, yeah
Here's to ya
Amen to that!
