I always had massive respect for Bret Michaels as a musician, but when I discovered how much charity work he does every year... what fantastic guy he is! does so much work for kids with Down Syndrome but he never advertise it to the world. It would be easy celebrity points for him, but he really does it for the cause

The next day arriving to homeroom, literally everyone looked at me when I walked in the room in absolute disbelief that I could do that. It was in that moment that I understood the power of being a musician. It changed my life from that moment on. Bret has always been a musical hero of mine. So has Sammy for that matter.

Brett Michaels is honestly one of the nicest guys. I remember he was playing Secrets and Ocean City MD, and early in the day he was in the bar/restaurant hanging out. Literally took time and talked to everyone, did not seemed bothered at all and seem genuinely happy to meet everyone.

I was in Atlanta GA with my pops doing an antique show in 1990, I was 14 at the time. My dad and a few of his friends and I went to a small bar/restaurant to have dinner. Only empty seats were at a large table in the corner and this guy yells out, here grab a seat and I yelled out, holly shit, its Sammy Hagar!! Lol We all sat with him and a couple other guys, had dinner, dad had drinks with him and Sammy paid for everything. My pops had weed and Sammy lit up a joint right in the place and nothing was even said. One down to earth guy for sure, great experience and time I'll never forget.
Luv these two...got a hug from Brett and before Sammy cut his hair he performed in Anaheim and I made a sign that read: Sammy let us touch it before you cut it..and he let me and my friend run our fingers through his hair....Real Men of Rock and Roll..

I met Bret back in 1995 , one of the nicest guys you could ever meet , he shook hands with every body at Tower Records and made sure to sign every single CD he was given to.....
These are the real musicians, not just regular Stars or super Stars, just great musicians who Love what they do and it comes out in their music. No samples, pre written music just from the heart and soul.

Those two looked liked long lost best friends. Two of the coolest guys in rock n roll.
About 15 years ago, I had a one on one conversation with Brett for about a half an hour where I worked... what a great guy. He told me that story about "Rose"...and also said his record company didn't want to produce it so he did it himself! He was just like talking to your next door neighbor. Ill always remember that!

Bret played played a Festival in San Antonio a few years back, I worked the back gate of the rock stage as a Police Officer. . A fellow police officer and veteran wanted to get a pic with him, Bret insisted he gather up all the Police officers for one hell of a pic. This Dude Was down to earth.
Bret played in our little town of macomb Illinois (20,000) in a very small bar, he was the most gracious and down to earth guy you could meet, he told stories along with playing his hits, and made you feel that he was happy to be there!!!!!

Just found this clip. There’s so much joy and love between these two amazing men , so real, no egos just a great energy and a pure love of music. Certainly had my old feet tapping away whilst I’m in bed with a damn head cold. First off got mad respect for both of you guys. Thank uou both for all the years of rocking my all american southetn boy ass off! Sammy also never got the recognition he deserves..As far as the music goes, Every rose is one of the purest examples of a man pouring his soul out about the hurt he is feeling in his heart..contrary to popular belief we do have frelings ladies and we feel heartbreak as much as the ladies do..That song not only explains how Brett was feeling at the time, but it also decribes how each snd everyone of us have felt at one time or another. When its good peole are gonna feel it and when its great, they are gonna relate! God bless you both in all yiur future endeavors and thanks again yall!
