    Dear Armatage Candle Company!
We learnt a lot about candle making thanks to your videos, we are really grateful for that! :)
Is there going to be tips for a perfect dye for soy wax in the future? We just can not make a proper black colour, it always gets a midnight blue or dark grey shade and can't figure out the reason :( We tried blocks and liquids which were working fine on paraffin but no success on the soy ones. Do you maybe have any idea?
Keep up the excellent work and thank you!
    A fellow candlemaker

Soy is hard since it comes with its own color! Color is best found with a lot of trial and error and unfortunately I don't have any great answers for you other than to try a lot of different oil-based dyes until you're satisfied.

Great tutorial the only thing was it tells you in the kit to heat your jars before you pour the wax . I did this but i think i let them cool to much before i got around to pouring the wax because each of my candles had pitting and I had to look to find what to do to fix the pitting lucky enough I had a heat gun and something to open the void with so I heat filled each candle like this It scared me I was about to through it all away and start over. thanks so much for your Tutorials and advice.

Personally, I think you doing a burn test would have been more beneficial in this review! The candle can look great but if it doesn't burn right.. tunnels etc then it would be a huge factor in whether or not id buy the kit and thats not shown at all in the review..other than that great video..except never stir with a candy thermometer..it can easily bang the end of it and ruin you getting an accurate temp next time..just use something else, even a popsicle stick.

Hi. Thank you for the video. I would like to ask how was the hot throw with the wax you used in the video. I use the same wax in my candles and I am always running into issue. I have cracks on my candles and I do not get a good hot throw. Please let me know if your candles hot throw was good and if there were any cracks on your candles.
    Thank you.

Honestly pretty good. The cold throw is great and the hot throw was pleasant, at least by my standards. Not overwhelming, and not blowing out an entire floor of the house, but appropriate.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who pokes holes in giant clumps of wax as they melt. It's kinda satisfying.

I am so glad I found your review. I just purchased this kit (I’m in Texas and wanted to support another Texas business). I fall into the serious about getting serious category. I was paralyzed in 2016 and finding a job since then has been so hard. It’s like employers see the wheelchair and think more than just my back is broken. I also have a son with special needs so I really needed something I can do from home and started researching and found candle making is more up my alley than most other home gigs. It lets me be creative and experimental but with instruction, hope that makes sense. I also plan on taking your course.
