Fry has the best line in all of Futurama. That being: "Alright. It's Saturday night, I have no date, a two-liter bottle of Shasta, and my all-Rush mixtape. Let's rock."
My favorite has got to be Fry's reaction when professor Farnsworth tells him who his grandfather is. Absolutely the greatest futurama moment ever, period!!!
@@Shrimpfriedpee For real. It's a fictional show but I feel bad for him when he messes up. For example, in the episode where he inadvertently revealed that Leela is a mutant, and she was confined to the sewers. She along with the others were mad at him for it. It's understandable for them to be mad but given the way Fry is, he doesn't intentionally try to hurt others. I saw a comment some time ago on a random video that said something that Fry isn't really an idiot but since he's from a different century, his intelligence from 1999 isn't up to the standards of the 3000s. Of course, I think that the fact he became his own grandfather didn't help with that. Fry is just someone I feel sorry for. He has the most tragic backstory, and the others seldom feel sorry for him. Again, it's a fictional TV show but it's one that has great writing, comedy, plots, stories, you can't help but just feel for the characters or in this instance -- Fry.
I love Fry. He’s my favourite character in the series. Billy West does a brilliant job at voicing him. 7:39 the noises Fry makes as he tries gnawing off his arm is fucking perfect. Thanks asshole now I got teary eyed at the end.
I like how the ending is so different from the whole video. It shows the personal tragedy, and that Fry is a much more than just a "dumb" character with limited social skills. And his only chance to interact with the family member since he got frozen. That damn onions
Really shows that Futurama as a whole is more than just a comedy show. And really, most emotional things in the show come back to Fry..it’s only natural that there’s at least one sad moment here.
Fry is without a doubt, the best possible character Matt Groening could ever have created and ever will create. There's something so infectiously brilliant about him
it's interesting that leela stated in the first season virtually everything is recyclable, and after that we see scenes where an oreo comes in 3 separate packets
As of now I have only seen the first episode of the newest Futurama, but I am mostly withholding judgment. The first episode had some great moments, and certainly checked off the boxes of addressing its multiple cancellations. The fact that the last episode prior to the last cancellation did such a good job of ending the show... well, there probably was not a good way to really recover from that, so what they did was perfectly adequate. As long as they come with more great Futurama, I will gladly forgive them the sort of gloss-over of that great ending from the last time.
The video opens with Fry celebrating that he will never see his family again. But the ties that bind draw us near; we need each other. And, so, the writers of Futurama subconsciously acknowledging their own needs, eventually, and inexorably write a reuniting story. And this particular video ends with that story.
Have you ever read the next 5 verses? John 3:16 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
