Thanks for the video. In my trouble shooting, my TS8000 fires without the tip but not with the tip on. I called customer service and he thinks it is a faulty tip and he plans to send out a new tip. After I saw your video, I checked the long tube and sure enough there is a bit of spider web inside. I cleaned it and the torch fires properly! I think Bernzomatic should add this check in their trouble shooting guide :-).
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. This did not solve my problem, BUT it did motivate me to investigate until I did fix it. What worked for me was to unscrew the burner tip and adjust the distance the igniter wire is from the side of the tube... in my case I needed to increase the distance, pushing the wire more toward the center of the tube (there's a principle with spark gaps that up to a certain extent by increasing the distance you also increase the heat/voltage the spark produces, i.e., there's potential there that's not realized unless it's given distance/space to develop it) . Now it lights on the first try 10 times out of 10! I've had this torch for at least ten years and it's always bugged me how I had to rapid pull the trigger numerous times until it lit. I'm elated that it works so well now, but a little embarrassed that I hadn't taken the time to do something about it... I'd always thought it was "an igniter issue" and that I got a lemon.
Thanks man! I just came in from the workshop after watching your video and problem is fixed! One of the better troubleshooting videos I’ve seen in a while; quick and to the point without any useless chatter.
THANK YOU! Saved me from having to buy a new one or tearing apart my house to find my other one. It actually wasn't your exact problem, but got me looking. Unscrewed the tip and there was a spider and web in the tube.
Removed set screw and nozzle - all clear. Removed fitting that engages fuel bottle, and gasket - cleaned and reinstalled. The gas still comes out of bypass hole. ? I've only had this igniter for a few months. Previous one lasted about 5 years.
Mine had restricted gas flow, would light, but had weak fame. My fix was just to drill into the bottle side of the regulator. It unscrews with a hex socket. There is a sintered metal filter there that gets clogged up. It is supposed to be there, but needs to be unclogged. I tried sucking on it to test and was basically no flow, stuck to my tongue for a second or two from vacuum. I unclogged it by drilling from the bottle side, but not all the way through, just a bit to unclog. After there was decent flow, but no light came through. Could maybe be done with solvent or air pressure, didn't try.
@006pup haaa i know right , no problem tho like helping people out. Guess that's how we roll imagine if someone contacted us and said they had no access to get one of those wrenches I'm sure I we have a few extras kicking around would toss it in the mail for ya. I guess that's why people love ACW Tactical we do things a little differently
Anyone know where to buy a burntip or nozzle for the TS4000? I dropped mine in a crack between some monstrous rocks when adjusting the the igniter tip. I fixed the igniter but lost the swirl tip.

Where can I get the gasket that’s between the fuel canister and the torch?
