I really liked this movie more than I thought I would. Seeing this optimistic man struggle and succeed with his life’s work and suddenly have it all crumble down by a random fluke really hits hard. I still maintain that a small tweak could have had this be a Jeff Goldblum Spider-Man movie.
Spider-Man is already a descendant of “the Fly,” but the original B-movie version. All of his villains and allies could easily headline a cheesy, old fashioned B-movie of their own, when you think about it.
Amazing artwork as usual and I also want to say the sound design was really great on this one as well. The background music and the sounds really add to the atmosphere and pulls you right in. Great job. Very impressive.
One thing about this version of the The Fly that always got me is the way Seth talks about the computer, referring to how it thinks about the process and how he has to teach the computer to get crazy about the flesh. They never said A.I. like we do so often these days but I think that's what they were talking about.

I saw this movie once, it was scary the way Jeff slowly transformed into a monstrous creature & also very awfully sad at the end where he begged Geena to put him out of his misery, & end his suffering because of what he did to himself. Jeff should've won an Oscar award in my opinion.
