In my country (Argentina), Ramones is kind of a local band. You can buy t-shirts with Ramones emblem even in kid´s stores... Glad they were a big success here, filling soccer stadiums in the 90´s. Somehow their music caught part of argentinian soul.

They were from New York so that's not really at all local to anywhere near Argentina, but I think what you meant is that they are well respected there, and the same can be said about anywhere in the world!! R A M O N E S RAMONES!

Heartbreaking song; to drift away from your soulmate is a unique and terrible pain no one should experience, yet here I and the Ramones coexist.
The guys all jumping around on such a "gentle" song. Ha ha. "Road To Ruin" is such an undeniable classic....one of their best. But I still feel that the first two years with Tommy were their best.....the absolute "pure" Ramones if you will.

When our band "The Misfit Toys" first began in the late 80's we naturally enough had to play covers since we were unknown. All of the songs we covered were not being performed by anyone live except for us. The only Ramones song I ever heard being played by anyone other than them was "I wanna be sedated. We covered this Ramones song I used a live recording of them doing it in order to give it more impact then the studio version. I suppose it was strange to see a young band with a chick singer and a keyboard player doing 'You don't come close' but audiences loved it. I only got to see them play live once and that was at a small club in Washington DC. that held a couple of hundred people.
