    I use cosrx pimple patch on newly formed small zit. I have the red color and also black color version. Both are effective to prevent the pimple from getting bigger. If I use the patch overnight, the next morning the pimple would have shrunk in size and I can heal within 2 days. The method is to use it at the immediate sign of newly form zit. The black version is very transparent and can be worn under makeup.

    Important thing about pimple patches( at least in my experience and everyone’s face is different 🤷‍♀️): I've used pimple patches for the past year and what I learned is that if you have a popped pimple that is healing. DON'T PUT A Hydrocolloid PATCH ON IT. Maybeeee it's common knowledge. But, i didn't know ( and i thought of it like a pimple bandaid that helps with healing too). Ever time i took off a Hydrocolloid patch off my popped pimple it pulled the scab off. You want your skin to heal and scab over. If it doesn't scab correctly it can cause a scar or a pit scar.
    Anywho I didn't know this before so i have tiny little scars from it( like only more enlarged pores, nothing drastic and not even noticable unless you stand super close to my face lol.my pores are small to begin with. But, i love skincare and taking good care of my skin so i am slightly bummed about it but maybe over time it will heal more from using acids or my tretinoin) But, still I only used the Zitsticka when I feel a cystic pimple forming( they work), and i stopped using the blemishes patches, because they never did anything to actually get rid of a pimple for me anyways.

    • @clisaa6974
      @clisaa6974 4 года назад +10

      Millie Elangbam everyone’s face is different . So maybe for me they just didn’t work 🤷‍♀️. But after doing reading about the scabbing process😂I realized they were bad for the healing process after the pimple popped at least for me. Especially if I put it on a blackhead that turned into a blemish and popped and then I put it on. I am acne prone but never had heavy acne thankfully . Just one blemish I get a month that last forever and then takes forever to heal most of the time 😂

    • @ganakaren92
      @ganakaren92 4 года назад +17

      I put it immediately after popping and only use them overnight. During the day, I allow it to scab. You brought a really good point, a wound needs to be dry in order to heal properly and be able to scan while it heals from the deepest layer to the most superficial layer. hydrocolloid patches sucks the moisture from the pimple and brings it to the surface and keeps it there which doesn’t allow the pimple to heal fully

    • @clisaa6974
      @clisaa6974 4 года назад

      @Eco Fluffy Mama all good points. I think they never worked for me though in terms of reducing a pimple. But, maybe i think when I talk about scabbing i think of the two times I had a blackhead that turned into a pimple( if that's a thing), like I had recently. I also think it was dumb of me to irritate the blackhead I had in the first place, and hydrocol patch isn't for a blackhead to begin with ( i just thought it would help it heal somehow). Whenever i took off the hydrocolloid it would cling to my skin taking off the scab with it.

      @clisaa6974 4 года назад

      @@ganakaren92 Yeah i still have a bunch of Cosx patches i need to use up. But, yeah i think after one is popped it is good for the first night. Especially if it's a regular old pimple that comes quickly and pops easily. I think that's when those kind of patches works for me. I do like they keep the skin protected from bacteria. ughhh what to do. I think for me those Zitsticka's are the best for those cystic because they are under the skin. as for the rest I give up.

      Hi Victoria! So honestly, I would recommend a treatment serum/toner to resolve the acne- patches will be too much hassle and waste (as I feel they're more ideal for people who aren't currently struggling with acne prone skin imo), and I think you would benefit from a Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide treatment instead! It'll be more bang for your buck and easier to apply :)

    • @bellarosewood3862
      @bellarosewood3862 4 года назад +13

      8 pimples at once is a lot to deal with. I've tried every possible treatment including benzoyl peroxide and they all work for a temporary period but acne will always come back. The only thing that changed my life is accutane. Taking it on very low doses for a year or so is so worth it. It'll give your skin a fresh start and you'd be much less prone to acne. And u can use those patches whenever u have one pimple because that's all you'd have!

It also hides the pimple pretty well and the patch isn’t even noticeable. The pimple patches I buy are the cheapest face product I buy. I buy them at big lots they always have them. Their a box of 36 patches and 2 size patches for only $1.20. The brand is called epielle.

    I discovered the CosRX patches awhile ago while dealing with hormonal acne and they have been amazing in helping clear up pimples. However, I will say that for me they do not work unless the pimple has a whitehead on it and the patch can draw out all that nasty stuff easier. If I put it on too soon, it doesn't do much of anything and I just wasted a patch. Definitely going to check out the micro-dart ones and give them a try for the most annoying of pimples that show up at the worst time!
    *Side note: I tried putting in the code for ZitSticka and it says it's invalid :(

    Is there a difference between the COSRX pimple patches and drugstore hydrocolloid bandages in terms of efficacy to absorb pus and heal wounds? Because the drugstore ones are HUGE and are the same price, or cheaper, than the COSRX ones. The only difference I can find online is that the COSRX ones are typically thinner than the drugstore ones, and can be more comfortably worn in public.

    Thank you for making this enjoyable I’d much rather watch you than spend time trying to go through and read the Amazon reviews. I started doing some review so I can tell you know what you’re talking about and I do believe the Asian stuff is ahead of us as well but do you think we should worry about the ingredients being that it’s not from USA or do you think that is OK to buy from Japan or China or maybe one but not the other I don’t know....I just have this one pimple on my cheek that keeps coming back and I think it’s been here for four years now and I’m sick of it it’s not terrible and it’s not all over my face but it’s just this one and it never quite empty so I’m trying to get rid of it now and I’m determined. I know I could go to a doctor and get a shot probably but I don’t have a doctor so I’ll try to figure this out here. Thank you again for making this and if you have any suggestions and have to let me know that would be awesome.

    Q: what is your opinion on "basic" products. There is this company called natural heroes and they sell "primary/basic ingredients". With basic I mean products that are not as much composed with different ingredients such as avocado oil or witch hazel. I like to use avocado oil as a moisturizer and witch hazel as a tonic or facemist. I don't have that much knowledge about ingredients in skincare products so for me, I just try to avoid products with fragrances, too many ingredients or ingredients that could be damaging to the skin. For me it is easier to just use oils like jojoba oil, avocado oil and almond oil instead of using creams and such. I just wanted to say, thank you for breaking it down for us and making it understandable. Because of you I have found some brands that are not that expensive. Greetings from The Netherlands.

    Hey hyram, I love your channel and would love if you could make a video on acne or hormonal acne. I’ve been dealing with acne for years and suffer with regular breakouts/ clogged pores/ pigmentation and the occasional cysts which I find patches helpful for? I just want to know your opinion about using spot treatment for acne and just generally the best skincare routine to calm / reduce acne and hydrate acne prone skin, as well as what professional treatments or facials you would recommend for someone with acne. I think a lot of people here in the comments also would love the same information (: xx your new subscriber

      lionlambheartface I’m suffering with hormonal acne due to my pregnancy. For me I’ve found using Cera Ve SA cleanser is good. I wash my face twice a day. Make sure to use a oil free, fragrance free cleanser. Try not to pick at any pimples especially cysts, it’ll just shove it deeper into your skin. I would look into trying Accutane or maybe antibiotics. My sister was on amoxicillin for a little while for acne & it helped her a lot! Oh also don’t forget to moisturize your face.

I'm never sure whether to put them on before or after using treatments or moisturizers. I know this video is old but does anyone have any advice?? I feel like putting them on over my moisturizer is a bad idea but putting them on before and putting moisturizer on top also doesn't make much sense to me

      I know you’re comment is 2 years old but I do all my skincare and let it sink in a good 30ish mins before I patch. If I don’t feel like waiting that long I still do all my skincare, give it a min, and then blot the extra product off when I’m gonna use a patch so they’ll stick.
