Oh, loved the bit about laundry detergent. I switched from liquid to powder detergent (both unscented) maybe two months ago and noticed, that the very faint 'old people smell' my clothes had after washing and drying, is gone now. I wash most things on a low temperature cycle and air dry my clothes, so that probably exasperated the problem. I tried a dedicated machine cleaner before, but it didn't really have the desired effect. I think the biofilm probably builds up too quickly for a just occasional 'extra cleaning' to be enough.

At home scrubs never worked for me, especially because I have very dry skin by default. However, I eventually moved to Asia and started going regularly to saunas, and I will say physical scrubbing started working (really well actually) in that setting. I think it has to be done a very specific way to work.
I've always had KP and nothing really worked, because I have extremely sensitive skin (classic red-haired person skin...) so acids are too aggressive on me to actually be able to use them, and scrubs are even *more* aggressive on top of not actually doing anything for my KP. The only thing that worked a little bit without destroying my skin was the Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion, but it was super expensive and I would finish a bottle of it very very fast (since I have kp on both my arms, and on my calves). So at some point the cost became way too much and I had to stop. :(
The Olay Retinol lotion has worked surprisingly well for my kp. Something worth sharing: I achieved better results by washing with Olay's AHA/BHA body wash prior to appling the Olay Retinol Body lotion. So IDK about hydroclorphus acid for anti acne and such. But I will say that it works to reduce my dry eye caused by ocular rosacea. It works by eliminating bacteria and mites around my eyes to reduce dryness and inflammation. I've been using it for about a year now and it helps. I also use it on my legs after I shower and it has helped repair my skin barrier as I get really itchy, dry skin even in humid/hot weather.
Hey Michelle. Can you make a video on the Reedle Shot product? Discussing some potential concerns etc with the product, whatever your thoughts on it may be.
@@LabMuffinBeautyScienceI think they mean concerns about foreign objects potentially staying in your face after you use the product (or something like that I read)
@@ShizukaAokiThis is the concern I have, what happens to the Spicules. I am mostly in bed due to Chronic illness so will the spicules just fall off and be in my bed and surroundings. Can the spicules somehow then transfer to Pets fur then end up in their mouth when they clean themselves. I might be overthinking this but not knowing what happens to these small spiky particules after I massage them onto my face makes me anxious.
i love seeing all the products i independently found on the thumbnail and in the video im just nodding my head along as you go through them because they all worked especially well for me
I find it very interesting what you said about creams vs lotions. I’m a practitioner in the US and was taught in school that creams are more moisturizing than lotions and that is still the accepted general practice. Love seeing your perspective on these topics. Great video as always!
Thanks so much for talking about KP! I’ve had persistent KP on my arms since I was a teenager (I’m in my 30s now.) It’s not painful but it is annoying and unsightly. My KP has improved quite a bit since I started treating it with Eucerin Roughness Relief, a lotion with urea and lactic acid. It’s pretty affordable, easy to apply and fragrance-free. I recommend checking it out if it’s available in your area.
Hey, the roughness relief lotion is great! What really, really works for me is using a tiny bit of Kerasal for my KP on my arms. Sounds crazy, but it works. I use apply it to slightly damp skin after I get out of the shower. Then I layer the roughness relief lotion on top of it. My arms are 100% smooth now.
Heel balm was not for me. Great for my heels (I like Vaseline better), but not my upper arms, where I have KP. What worked was body wash for sensitive skin everyday + shower oil 3x a week + Glycolic acid every second day. That made a huge difference. Paula's Choice was absolute garbage for me, expensive and ineffective (again, for me). What worked was Anua 2% BHA toner. Fabulous 3x times a week! Body scrubs don't work for me either. They dry my skin to the point it feels like is burning. The silicone shower "scrubs" work thou. Just the right amount of rough. Awesome vid!
I second that! I recently switched to Charlie's, thinking that my household might be sensitive to our previous liquid detergent. The washing machine no longer has that musty smell. Would love to know the "appropriate amount" referenced in the article of H2O2 to add!
That's my worry too, do the spicules fall off then land on a surface where it could transfer to a pet. I am worried about it ending up on my Cats pawpads or in her fur where she can lick it off and it end up in her mouth. I haven't bought any as no one seems to think about what happens to the Spicules after you apply to the face.
So glad you brought up Paula’s Choice BHA! It’s the most helpful thing for my KP for sure!! Edited to add: long term use of salicylic acid on large parts of the body can induce temporary tinnitus.
This was so helpful! I would love a video on hands. It’s dead winter here in the US and it seems like everyone has dry, cracked hands right now. (Tbh, it doesn’t matter what season it is, my hands are always a mess because I wash them so often.) There’s just so many products on the market, with so many claims. It’s just so confusing.
I’ve worked in the service industry and the products that worked the best for me were just about any O’Keeffe’s product (especially the night foot balm on the hands) and Bag Balm which has lanolin in it (the medicinal smell is strong in the container, but pretty faint and fades quickly after application)
I've had this for ages, recently tried Gold Bond Healing Hand Cream and it plays well w/ my skin so far. (At first it stung, but my skin was extra sensitive from using a urea lotion and forgetting sunscreen that day.) And if all else fails, there's always Vaseline, which isn't a lotion per se but it's abt the gentlest occlusive there is.
For sensitive skin ppl - use the PC body exfoliant with caution, patch test etc. it made my skin sting so bad, and made my friends skin sting too, even though he doesn't usually have issues with sensitivity.
this is super specialized and may be totally not up your alley at all, but if you have absolutely any skincare thoughts for fragile Ehler Danlos skin, I think so many people would appreciate it~ Keep doing what you've been doing though!!!
I concur! Fellow zebra 🦓 here, there's a lot of us for a "rare" condition. I have hEDS yet still have significant skin issues, especially with healing and scaring.
I have EDS and my skin is so much happier cutting out almost all actives and focusing on barrier repair type products!! (And of course sunscreen) In my 30’s my face skin has gotten so much thinner that I really don’t need to exfoliate more than a few times a week with a gentle powder wash and maybe switch up what serums Im using. Would love a whole video on this as well if she has any recommendations!
Hypochlorous acid was a miracle for me. I was getting cystic acne (and I’m old) so used a benzoyl peroxide wash & benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. I would still get breakouts. I started using hypochlorous acid and haven’t had a pimple since. I still use the CeraVe benzoyl peroxide wash in the morning.
People with Ed's typically lack flagging.. a protein that helps skin with its barrier and holding hydration. So Trans epidermal waterless is something everyone has.. but EDS would be worse. You need products designed to add water and oil into the skin. And use occlusion products to trap moisture in skim (slugging for bedtime would be an example) once skin barrier is healthy you can add gentler actives into your routine. But always be mindful less is more for EDS.
You might want to rethink the bleach. Bleach rusts metal and that could ruin your washing machine. This also breaks fibers in your clothing, which will cause them to wear out faster. I use vinegar with my laundry detergent strips. This took care of the skin issues I was having too , and it doesn’t harm the washing machine and does far less harm to the fibers of clothing.
i wanna add a bit more of info into that bleach is an umbrella term for a lot of whitening/oxidizing products chlorine bleach is what degrades stainless steel and other metals she mentioned vanish oxi action, which is a peroxide based bleach, it uses things like sodium percabonate which is not corrosive to metals like stainless steel
@ that would likely work just fine for most folks, it’s true. I have very sensitive skin so anything peroxide will be extremely irritating to my skin. This is why I like the vinegar. It’s anti microbial instead of only anti fungal or antibacterial. The only trouble is, this leaves a vinegar scent on your bath towels, which is likely to bother some. It doesn’t bother me though, but I do omit it on my guest towels as they aren’t used nearly so often.
@@YvonneRaphaelWriter I use distilled vinegar. It's also called alcohol vinegar in some places, it's been used for cleaning since forever and it still gets sold specifically for cleaning, in supermarkets. You can recognize it because it's completely transparent. It doesn't smell as bad and the smell evaporates super fast. It's also very good as an alternative to fabric softeners. I have extremely sensitive skin and my immune system is a walking disaster, and distilled vinegar has become my go-to cleaning product for situations where I need something delicate and that still kills germs pretty effectively. Just make sure that they didn't add any extra perfuming (cause since it's specifically sold as a house cleaning product, some brands do have perfuming added unfortunately). I also use it to clean&disinfect my cats' bowls (just soak them for a night in hot water and distilled vinegar, it also removes limescale caused by hard water extremely well) and all of my cats' accessories (only the washable ones that can handle hot water ofc).
I never heard that one about chemical exfoliants for armpits! My armpit smell has been bothering me for a few years, no matter what I try I can smell them. I've asked others and they say they don't smell anything, but *I* can smell them! ...gonna go have a shower, will check back in!
You are the goat Michelle I learned the acid thing for deodorant in that og video and have been laughing at all the “natural deodorants” that have snuck some AHAs in to make them actually work since. Always appreciate how you are able to articulate the icky feelings I get around dumb marketing (like the hypochlorous acid situation rn).
I'm so used to ignoring marketing claims at this point that I didn't even realize how much of the hypochlorous acid hype was cringe 😳 That said, I do think it does *something*, but in a really adjunct way. If I have to mask up for whatever reason, it does help keep the associated breakouts at bay. Definitely not enough by itself.
Same. It was great to have during the panini when we had to reuse PPE I would spray on when I got a chance to remove my mask, air dry and apply cetaphil cream. Spray on mask too
Hi Dr Michelle! I'm a big fan! Would you ever think about doing a video or blog post listing other creators who are like you? It's so hard to know who to trust, even creators that are like wearing scrubs and say they're doctors, how can I know who's saying something real and who's trying to sell me some expensive lies? I wish there were some trustworthy creators in the diet/fitness community who do what you do. Like what the hell is laser lipo and why do some people naturally prefer chicken breast over french fries but not me? The amount of conflicting information out there is so overwhelming. Thank you for being someone who cuts through the noise and gives science backed evidence
I use the Alpha-H retinol body lotion and can confirm, it’s great stuff. May be a bit too good than i expected. Used it daily but had to slow down with it, it’s quite powerful. Love it. Great video as well, again x
Another excellent video! I don't know if this would warrant a full video or not, but I'd love to hear more about the science behind nail/cuticle oils/balms. There's a lot of debate in nail communities about what types of nail oils are best and will penetrate the nail (specifically jojoba oil). Can oil actually penetrate the nail? Is there evidence that any oils strengthen nails?
It's interesting that the nail community says jojoba penetrates the nail bc my understanding is there aren't "holes" in nails like there are in hair and jojoba oil is considered a non penetrative hair oil. Coconut and argan are the most recommended penetrative hair oil, jojoba "just coats the strand". So itd be weird if it can penetrate keratin without holes in nails but not hair keratin with holes. She should definitely do a video.
@JonesysMomma Totally. The explanation I've seen is that the molecular structure of jojoba oil is close to the sebum your body naturally produces and therefore can be absorbed better. Personally, I just use hand cream to keep my cuticles moisturized, but I'd be interested to know if there is any benefit from using nail oils to the nail itself.
@JonesysMomma The difference here is that the surface of our nails isn't a solid sheet of keratin; it's like tiny flakes that are stuck together. The thought is that the jojoba oil can "melt" into the microscopic spaces between the flakes.
KP takes literal years of dedication, and to my knowledge it's genetic. I've had it my whole life on my upper arms, butt, outer thighs, and jawline. It's gotten better with age. I actually think my #1 biggest help with it has been being dedicated to putting on a healthy amount of lotion all over my body every single day. Never skip. It doesn't even matter what kind of lotion. Just do it.
i wasn’t even trying to get rid of KP but just better moisturize my skin and i started putting cerave moisturizing cream on my arms/legs when they’re still wet after a shower, and i noticed the KP on my arms went away in a month or so
I ❤ the "Silk Scrub" by Fur for treating folliculitis. It can be used on the face and body. Fur also has remedies for KP, ingrown hairs and discoloration. Including pimple patches specifically formulated for folliculitis.
Always enjoy your videos. As a mature woman I've noticed crepey skin starting. I would really love a review of the many products out their claiming to fix this. I'm based in Australia. Cheers.
I’m commenting on here to hopefully help someone out. If you have KP and SUPER sensitive skin like me and your skin hates products with chemical exfoliants and even physical exfoliants, please try using retinoids to combat it! I started using retinoids on my body and face and my skin has never been so clear without all the irritation.
My washer has a self cleaning cycle that it reminds me to use every 40 cycles. It makes the water super hot and I usually do it overnight when I’m sleeping because the cycle lasts nearly 4 hours. It uses only hot water to clean. I also leave both the washer door and detergent/softener/bleach holder open to dry out between uses. P.S. I 💛Mo.💋
Some washing machines cannot heat up super high temperature unfortunately, especially if they have a higher "environmentally friendly" rating, I learned this when I tried to use high heat to clean mine and it did not have it :(
I also toss in a little washer cleaning tablet. Mines is a washer/ dryer. Put in dirty cones out clean and dry! 😊 I've had no need to open the dispenser drawers, though I'll rinse in hot water as recommended.
@TheSzeszter well that's odd to me. Mine washes and dries and uses the regular plug but heats up like crazy if I ask it to. In the US the rating is based on a specific cycle. Not the cleaning cycle. Have you tried those washer cleaning tabs? They r pretty good and some places give them out.
you are blowing my mind with the stuff about folliculitis and the laundry. I am already a “laundry witch”, as my sister calls me, for other reasons like hard water, stain removal, etc. but i had not thought that my clothes/work uniforms might be holding onto microbes, and that whether or not i used my oxyclean (i use it frequently for other reasons) was affecting the microbes in the fabric and the washer! i think you just literally saved my ass!
Hey Michelle, I recommend disabling the auto dub feature. It's a setting inside the upload defaults. The auto dubbing is not very good, and users have to manually select original audio for every video
The bioderma oil wash has changed my daily life (also didnt know about refills!) as it doesnt dry my skin out and it easily removes buildup from the day. Im a tret stan for over 15 years now. My skin is amazing and wrinkles are very minimal approaching 50yr of age now.
washing machine cleaning I got recomended to me by a repair guy: - once o month put a cup of citric acid into the drum and run one wash on high temp (95°C) with at least one old rag (important to spread the water into all of the nooks and crannies of the machine) and after that wash clean out the drop basket, the drawer and all rubber parts of the door seal - every 3 months, after the citric acid clean, check if the drain (outlet) is clear and functions properly - I acrually go and open the thing - sometimes it collects strands of fibers (especially linen does that) and can get blocked and finally - add vineagar into each washing cycle (into the drawer for fabric softener - the vineagar actually works better) - it helps to soften the water which helps to rinse out residual soap and dissolved fats - clothes might get a faint whiff of vineagar when you take them out of the machine, but that will disappear after they get dry additionaly: .. I leave the door and the drawer open when not in use, so it can dry out faster and more thorouhly to prevent mold formation .. if I ever skip any of the steps, within 2 washes it shows because we have moderately hard water with a significant iron and calcium deposit/sediment
Video 1 of asking if you can make a video on if keratin masks are good for you hair and explaining the difference between keratin masks and treatments. I love your videos by the way!
I have an old simple washing machine and I took it apart to fix it one time. And I took the drum out of the big thick plastic barrel it sits down in. When I tell you all… that when we say we are “washing” our clothes we are just rewetting them in a microbial soup from hell. The disgusting filth I got out from between the plastic barrel and the drum (that really had no other way to escape unless I scrape it out by hand) was horrifying. I felt so dirty knowing that I had put clothes on my body that had been washed in that gremlins cauldron. One time after that I had to use a laundromat-and I already knew what MY washer looked like, so I hand washed all the stuff and wrung it out and carried all that super heavy stuff to the laundromat and just used the dryers
@ I periodically do a hot water/vinegar wash. Followed by a cold water bleach wash. It seems to have helped tons and yes i used less soap and no more fabric softener in the washer
This is upsetting, since I live in an apartment building and I know our super definitely isn't taking apart the machines to clean between the drum and barrel :|
@ well you could do what I do. Do a large load of just hot water and a bunch of white distilled vinegar (no clothes), then do a large load of cool water and a bunch of bleach (no clothes). And it should be as clean as possible given the situation. They might make special products you can put in them to clean them too, idk.
Chlorhexidine usage outside of hospitals is thought to contribute to the establishment of supermicrobes which will then be resistant to hospital grade disinfection and should be avoided where possible. There's also evidence for prolonged use of chlorhexidine on mucous membranes triggering an acquired allergic response
The first aid beauty is great. You can just mix it with shower gel etc and it still works and you can get some good deals on it sometimes. Wish there were more well formulated lactic acids and retinol body products products though

Can you make a video about techniques for hair growth? I’m seeing a lot of people recommend caffeine, anti-fungals, and rosemary oil and I wanted to hear your take on it!
You’re probably the best person for this question- How long do ceramides have to be in contact with the skin to have an effect? I.e. does it make sense to have ceramides in face wash and shampoo?
I’ve tried everything, nothing faded the dark spots on my legs. Then I did 3 rounds of tca peels every 6 weeks and that’s the only thing that cleared it
I really like Elucent AHA lotion for bumpy arms. For a cheap salicylic acid toner I quite like the Anko one at Kmart. Has a nice herbal tea kinda smell. Aaand I just restocked my Benzac wash a few days ago in the Priceline cleanser sale!
A master who fixed my dishwasher recommended acetic acid(the one that's in vinegar) 70% about 200 ml, the hottest program - for washing machines and dishwashers, once a month. I also heard of people using citric acid, but he said that it can damage some parts. with vinegar, so far so good
Hibaclens is amazing, I first learned about it because of a MRSA infection. It has kept me from having to go to the hospital with MRSA again. Now I use it on acne and on my feet. For some reason, the foaming version is less irritating on my skin
I could not stand the smell of that bioderma cleanser. I liked the La Roche Posay version of it though. Eucerin also used to have one I really loves but that has since that's been discontinued now😢
Thats so interesting about hypochlorus acid. I bought a cheap one off of Amazon and its made such a difference to my skin. Normally i break out really bad after flying even short distances, but I did a several long flights to get to Japan and my skin didnt have a single blemish. Spots I do get are going away much faster
I clean my washing machine once a week for maintenance, but more importantly whenever it starts to smell mildewy (also, leaving the washing drum door open after every cycle is important, and don’t forget the filters). 1 cup white vinegar on a cleaning cycle to prevent hard water build up, and 1 cup of bleach on a cleaning cycle for bacteria. Also, now that detergent pods are everywhere, it’s common that people are simply using way more detergent than they actually need.
YESSS i have been struggling with KP for YEARS and gotten different products and prescriptions but using a urea lotion is the only thing that has ever helped

I also have endometriosis! I talked about endocrine disruptors here, from around 11:55 (it's about sunscreen but it's similar for other suspected endocrine disruptors) ruclips.net/video/r0xINIwcF0w/видео.html
I know that when I had poison oak rash (allergic reaction to urushiol), it helped a lot to soak in our apartment building's hot tub with a fairly high chlorination level. The chlorine seemed to help dry out the rash, and the heat releases all the histamine at once so you itch A LOT immediately but have hours free of itching afterwards. Hot tub jets will "scratch" the itch without breaking the blisters the way scratching with your hands would.
Awesome vid! Tl;dr Laundry Sanitizer and Rinse and Refresh: I bought laundry sanitizer to help with washing gym clothes and I noticed it helped my skin as well. I think it's a bit hard on the clothes to use all the time, but I only use when I have to, and use rinse and refresh otherwise. I haven't tried a powder, but I will now.

I haven't really developed strong thoughts on spicules yet, I've only tried one product once so far (like I said, I'm a baby about painful products 😅)
That's my favorite eucerin lotion.
Regular sauna sessions has helped me get rid of my kp, without use of urea lotions
I had it since I was s child and no one really knew what it was. I found products called KP Duty
It's awesome on me!
use scrubs, you can make your own. exfoliate that shiiii 😂
Awesome vid!
would love to see that washing powder deepdive ! 😍
I second that! I recently switched to Charlie's, thinking that my household might be sensitive to our previous liquid detergent. The washing machine no longer has that musty smell. Would love to know the "appropriate amount" referenced in the article of H2O2 to add!
Can you please cover spicules (reedle shot) in terms of whether they chemically break down, are safe, thanks this video was very helpful ❤
Yes! I hear about reedle shot everywhere but tbh not sure I wanna try since I've heard conflicting opinions on its safety
Omg we need a deep dive on hypochlorus acid claims 😅
Yes, to the hands vid request, please! My poor hands are a cracked, bleeding mess.
I've had this for ages, recently tried Gold Bond Healing Hand Cream and it plays well w/ my skin so far. (At first it stung, but my skin was extra sensitive from using a urea lotion and forgetting sunscreen that day.) And if all else fails, there's always Vaseline, which isn't a lotion per se but it's abt the gentlest occlusive there is.
hand cream after washing, always. Also my dermatologist told me to use hand sanitizer instead of washing my hands (when it makes sense, ofc).
another thing, layer on hand cream heavily before going to bed, I've found this makes a big difference.
I love that Paula's Choice body cream, even on my face. It absorbs quickly and isn’t sticky or heavy at all.
@@mssmiley5691 I'd love to try this, but my skin would flip about that much benzoyl peroxide. Glad it works for you!
This took care of the skin issues I was having too , and it doesn’t harm the washing machine and does far less harm to the fibers of clothing.
bleach is also neutralised by hot water, vinegar is the go
i wanna add a bit more of info into that
bleach is an umbrella term for a lot of whitening/oxidizing products
chlorine bleach is what degrades stainless steel and other metals
she mentioned vanish oxi action, which is a peroxide based bleach, it uses things like sodium percabonate which is not corrosive to metals like stainless steel
@@ClaireCrowlesthank you!
Spray on mask too
Thank you for making these types of videos. I like that you explain things logically and base your thoughts on research.
I’ve been battling with KP for a while now and that cream worked like magic!!!!
Very interesting about folliculitis… I first started getting really bad folliculitis when I was doing laundry in my college dorm 😬
Just do it.
i wasn’t even trying to get rid of KP but just better moisturize my skin and i started putting cerave moisturizing cream on my arms/legs when they’re still wet after a shower, and i noticed the KP on my arms went away in a month or so
You know this already but we love you so so so so much
I ❤ the "Silk Scrub" by Fur for treating folliculitis.
I've had no need to open the dispenser drawers, though I'll rinse in hot water as recommended.
My skin is amazing and wrinkles are very minimal approaching 50yr of age now.
we want a video about isotretinoin!!!!
Hey Michelle! This was really helpful and informative. May you please make a video on perfumes. Thank you 🫶🏾😃
washing machine cleaning I got recomended to me by a repair guy:
- once o month put a cup of citric acid into the drum and run one wash on high temp (95°C) with at least one old rag (important to spread the water into all of the nooks and crannies of the machine) and after that wash clean out the drop basket, the drawer and all rubber parts of the door seal
- every 3 months, after the citric acid clean, check if the drain (outlet) is clear and functions properly - I acrually go and open the thing - sometimes it collects strands of fibers (especially linen does that) and can get blocked
and finally
- add vineagar into each washing cycle (into the drawer for fabric softener - the vineagar actually works better) - it helps to soften the water which helps to rinse out residual soap and dissolved fats - clothes might get a faint whiff of vineagar when you take them out of the machine, but that will disappear after they get dry
additionaly: .. I leave the door and the drawer open when not in use, so it can dry out faster and more thorouhly to prevent mold formation
.. if I ever skip any of the steps, within 2 washes it shows because we have moderately hard water with a significant iron and calcium deposit/sediment
I've missed you! I'm so happy to see your new video on my homepage :D will watch it tonight, what a treat!
You (and your husband the rare times he appears) are so interesting sometimes I watch your videos even if I have no interest in the topic 😄
any tips on KP and folliculitis are GREATLY appreciated, thanks Michelle!
Hi, bleach may clean the washing machine but it is corrosive. Vinegar on a hot cycle is effective and much less corrosive.
Vinegar isn't going to kill all the germs once it's been diluted in a washing machine full of water.
Video 1 of asking if you can make a video on if keratin masks are good for you hair and explaining the difference between keratin masks and treatments. I love your videos by the way!
Can you do a video on nail fungus? I want to see your thoughts and science.
Try to use just a tablespoon of detergent any more and it will build up and smell bad and make your clothes more dirty
@ I periodically do a hot water/vinegar wash. Followed by a cold water bleach wash. It seems to have helped tons and yes i used less soap and no more fabric softener in the washer
"gremlin cauldron" made my day!
Can you say more about why the Paula’s Choice BHA liquid “gets dicey” @3:56 when it gets to half the bottle? Thanks!
Yeah, was so confused by that
I think she means by that point it starts to go a bit off because it’s quite old, mine also takes a long time to use up
I've been wanting to get the Alpha-H body products since they released but been sitting on it. Glad to hear they're worth it ❤
Love your videos, Michelle!
Its always sp informative and helpful and lovely !
Your delivery is very good too .
Thank you for all these videos .
Please dont worry about video quality, did not notice anything amiss in it , your presence and the information you impart, makes it unnoticeable ( at least I dont have any problem with it , and I love listening to all your videos, as needed ) .
Thank you so much for this, I've been trying to spruce up my bodycare routine and kept finding so much "everything shower" BS. So grateful for the depth of information you provide!
I’ve brought back the Olay retinal lotion and the Olay Hyaluronic body wash. Love them both. My skin is so soft now
I’m loving prequel toner and cleanser
Yay! Another Lab Muffin video ❤😀❤
Thanks Michelle, great video! The Paula's choice AHA cream for KP you mentioned is really good!
Can you PLEASE make a video about your laundry detergent rabbit hole ?
Hi queen could you make a video about polyester and synthetic clothing? Pretty please? ❤❤
💖💖💖 This dry skin girl appreciates you!! 💖💖💖
Then I did 3 rounds of tca peels every 6 weeks and that’s the only thing that cleared it
In the US, Udderly Smooth 10 is fragrance free and has 10% urea. There is a 20% urea version of it too
😊
Cerave’s SA moistuiser is really good for exfoliation
Agree! I use the cleanser for body and face.
I use LRP Effaclar Micro-Peeling cleanser (has 2% sal acid) and the Atoderm oil. Works well for my KP.
Yay! Im not crazy for using the dermal therapy heel balm on my legs and the back of my arms. Also the solid balm form factor is handy.
Eucerin also used to have one I really loves but that has since that's been discontinued now😢
I’m here for the great insights ❤😂
I find those heel creams great for knees and elbows too.
Can you use creams formulated for the body also for your face? Are they somehow less effective for your face? Thanks for this incredible video 🥰🙏
Great video as usual :D
I clean my washing machine once a week for maintenance, but more importantly whenever it starts to smell mildewy (also, leaving the washing drum door open after every cycle is important, and don’t forget the filters). 1 cup white vinegar on a cleaning cycle to prevent hard water build up, and 1 cup of bleach on a cleaning cycle for bacteria. Also, now that detergent pods are everywhere, it’s common that people are simply using way more detergent than they actually need.
hi! I use the cerave sa cleanser and it’s perfect for exfoliating of the body and the face. I love it
YESSS i have been struggling with KP for YEARS and gotten different products and prescriptions but using a urea lotion is the only thing that has ever helped
Hi! I love your content, and for the past months I've been struggling a lot with hair loss, could you do a video with some recommendations and other tips for that problem? Thank you in advance
FirstAid Beauty Scrub i only use for my feet & eczema/psoriasis flareups on knees/elbows. I used to use it on the KP on legs near ankle but the Turkish/Persian mitts work better.
Thank you for all that you do Michelle! I would love to see a video on deodorants, as I sweat a lot even when I use strong anti-transpirants.
Hey Michelle, I’d love to hear your opinion on the science behind tbh skincare and their biofilm technology
Can you do a deep dive on red light therapy?
Could you maybe make a video about endrocrin disruptors? I have endometriosis, and i am trying to learn as much about the topic as possible and recently heard this term in Stephanie Lange’ s video, ‘the girls are not ok’. Made me think about every cosmetic and household product i have🙁 it would be so helpful to hear your opinion🤍
I also have endometriosis! I talked about endocrine disruptors here, from around 11:55 (it's about sunscreen but it's similar for other suspected endocrine disruptors) ruclips.net/video/r0xINIwcF0w/видео.html
@@LabMuffinBeautyScience Thank you!
I have been using the Alpha H and loving it on my upper arms. Only use it about 3 times a week.
So it’s OK to use products with rancid ingredients as long as you can’t smell the rancidity? Legit question here!
Yeah, that sounds weird to me 🤔
yayayy, i was waiting for a vid drop for so long! love the content!
Awesome vid! Tl;dr Laundry Sanitizer and Rinse and Refresh:
I bought laundry sanitizer to help with washing gym clothes and I noticed it helped my skin as well. I think it's a bit hard on the clothes to use all the time, but I only use when I have to, and use rinse and refresh otherwise. I haven't tried a powder, but I will now.
