    1. Cleanser- Necessary
    Used to cleanse the skin, and get rid of excess oil, makeup & gunk on the face.
    2. Face mask- Just for fun
    3. Exfoliant- Necessary
    Used to get rid of blackheads/whiteheads and exfoliate the skin. If using as a treatment, generally used after cleansing.
    4. Toner- Just for fun
    5. Essence- Just for fun
    6. Moisturizer- Necessary
    7. Sunscreen- Necessary
    Hope this helps someone keep track!! 😊

      Also can I apply this as a morning and night skincare routine

    • @ilvermorny5098
      @ilvermorny5098 4 года назад +39

      DULCE CRUZ I am not an expert, and I still definitely have a lot to learn about skin care, but I believe that if you’re just starting out you should only do this routine a few times a week until your skin gets used to it. 😊 (Please correct me if I’m wrong though!!) I would say to only do this routine once a day, (so either morning or night, but not both) as doing it twice a day could really strip your skin and cause damage. I don’t have a lot of knowledge on treatments, but I believe it just refers to what type of results you are looking for in your skin. For example, a Niacinimide product will help with brightening dark spots and evening out the skin tone, so that would be a treatment. (I think?) Like I said, I’m not an expert, so I would definitely get a professionals opinion on this, but I hope this helps you a little!!

      Ilvermorny hey! future wannabe derm here 👋🏼 in my opinion I don’t believe toner is something “just for fun” this is just because most toners are formulated to be used for the purpose of balancing your pH level and bringing it back to the neutral pH level.

    3. Treatment; salicylic acid serum (right after cleanse), hydrating toner

      @Natalie López Díaz Pretty much depends which one is thinner in consistency. Or that's how I layer, thinnest to thickest (no matter what Hyram says, lol) and actives like retinol or spot treatment last.

    • @lauriemyers3
      @lauriemyers3 4 года назад +17

      Also...ampules (like snail mucin) before serum/treatments regardless of thickness or consistency. Ampules are uber concentrated and work best first!

    1.) CLEANSER
    • Oil Cleanser (2 pumps) (put oil cleaser on your face when dry and not wet)
    • Water Cleanser (30 - 60 seconds)
    2.) FACE MASK (i think this is just optional? If you want to use a face mask?)
    • Leave the face mask for (15 minutes) or follow the instructions on the packaging of your face mask to know how many minutes to leave it on your face
    • After Using Face Mask rinse it with water
    2.) TREATMENT ( For Treatments it is better to use it after you Cleanse)
    • Salicylic Acid ( good for people who has oily or congestive skin Like Blackheads, Pimples or Whiteheads) (Right After Cleanse)
    • Hydrating Toner (After applying Exfoliating serum or right after you cleanse) (Apply a Few Drops on your hand then Spread it and gently pat on your face)
    • Essence ( Just like the toner apply a few drops and spread it on your hand then gently pat your face)
    3.) MOISTURIZER
    • Oily Skin ( Gel Moisturizer )
    • Dry Skin ( Cream Moisturizer )
    (After using moisturizer gently rub your face and gently pat it)
    4.) SUNSCREEN (SP)
    • Mineral Spf (Sunscreen with Zinc and titanium dioxide Ocean Safe)
    Hope this helps Sorry for my english 😔✌

    Being a chemist myself, I always struggle with your explanation that salicylic acid is the smallest acid. Actually, of all the exfoliating acids, glycolic acid is the smallest (and therefore the most effective one on the skin)
    The reason why BHA goes into the skin is that it's fat soluble unlike the AHAs that are water soluble.
    But anyways, you've already taught me so much about skin care. I don't want to be Ms Know It All ...

    can u make a video about how to include acids and active ingredient in your skin care routine ? Like i wanna start using zinc and vitamin c but dont know when to use them and what products to not use with them

    • @1revitalizedbabe
      @1revitalizedbabe 5 лет назад +83

      Zinc can be used with virtually everything, it’s in sunscreen ! But you can’t use vitamin c with any actives like acids like aha(glycolic acid, lactic acid, etc) or bha(salicylic acid) azealic acids, retinols or Retin .. you can use Hyaluronic acid tho, even tho it has the “ acid “ name it is not an active, it’s just used to pull moisture into your skin from the air. I use vitamin c in the am & I use my actives at night, switching between different actives depending on my needs.

    • @BangtansMomma
      @BangtansMomma 4 года назад +11

      Yeah anything that includes vitamin c , retinol ,acid or fruit peels etc needs to be done in the pm as you can get sun damage wearing them in the day. If you do wear vitamin c use sunscreen too 😉The zinc is fine though. I use the one just mentioned with niacinamide and zinc serum and hyaluronic acid serum together daily. But use the retinol in the pm with hyaluronic but use a lactic acid once a week too and of course a pink clay face mask ❤️

    • @okbutlike4446
      @okbutlike4446 4 года назад +4

      If you use benzoyl peroxide in your routine, it’s best not to use vitamin c in the same routine. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant which gives your skin that glow and hydration, on the other hand, Benzoyl Peroxide is an oxidizing agent and is common for fighting acne. Using the two together will cancel each other out, causing it to not work.

    Cleansing
    >first step of skincare routine- gets rid of all the dirt on ur face
    >Oil Cleansing- recommended for makeup/removing oils-1 to 2 pumps spread out on ur hands and evenly spread out on ur face- apply only on dry face, no water
    >Water Cleansing- skin should be a little damp- adding a bit of water on ur hands, getting the product on, then spreading it on ur face
    Face Masks
    >apply after you’ve cleansed ur skin
    >make sure u only leave it on for the time period it says
    >rinse off with water- don’t cleanse again
    Treatment
    >serum
    >Toner- right after exfoliating serum/ cleansing- few drops in ur hand, spread it across ur palm, pat it on ur skin
    >essence- after exfoliating serum/ toner- few drops in ur hand, spread it across ur palm, pat it on ur skin
    Moisturizer
    >take a little bit of the product and gently rub it on ur skin, then pat it into ur skin(absorbs it better)
    Sunscreen (SP)
    >last step as the skincare routine
    >Hyram mixes his sunscreen with his moisturizer for less white cast and more absorbent
    >once u go in with ur sunscreen, go in again

    My notes for you and me! :)
    1) Cleansing: Important first step
    Two types: oil cleanser (Preferred by people who wear makeup, applied on dry skin)🌸
    Water cleanser (after oil cleanser, use bit of water, for 60 secs) 💦
    2) Face mask: After cleanser, put on you're mask according to the time specified, don't cleanse again
    Note: You can use your skincare in any order you want! ✍
    3) Treatment:
    =Salicylic acid serum: Right After cleansing🏵
    =Toner: After serum🌼
    =Essence: After toner and serum, get every drop in! 🙆‍♀️🙆‍♂️
    =moisturizer: Rub into the face gently, pat it into you're skin After rubbing especially for oily skin and combination skin (the oily parts)🧏‍♀️🧏‍♂️
    =Sunscreen: Last step of the skincare step because you will not get the full SPF and sun protection if you apply it before the toner and Essence, you can mix it with you're moisturizer!, reapply it After 2 hours as you're skin can get damaged by the sun rays.😁👳‍♀️👳

    Hyram,
    Throughout 2021 I became really intrigued by skin care specifically coming across videos by James Welsh. Whenever I would watch these videos or even people related to him I would always hear your name but I did not no that you also how to RUclips I thought you were specifically a skin care line lol.
    Anyway I absolutely love your sense of humor to go along with your simplicity towards your videos and the way they provide knowledge simple enough for everyone to understand. You mentioned us commenting and the comment section but we would like to see you videos on if they’re like this and I would absolutely love to see you do more videos on how you specifically do your skin care routine step-by-step as of the end of 2021 and if it changes at all during the year etc. I mostly just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do these kind of things and I can’t wait to see what else you have

    • @dirtyyrat
      @dirtyyrat 4 года назад +18

      Wouldn't recommend using a spin brush. Its a physical exfoliator. And if you are using it every time you cleanse (which im assuming is 2 times a day 7 days a week) you would be exfoliating your skin 14 times a week which is not at all good. If you find that your cleanser doesn't do a good job at cleansing maby try a different one. X

    • @chloesmith2586
      @chloesmith2586 4 года назад +11

      My dermatologist told me they are not good for your skin (especially if you have acne) because like Hyram said, it’s a rough exfoliant. Also, it spreads dirt and oil around tour face, even if you wash the brush. I tried a spin brush for awhile, and it did not do my justice

    • @valeriaavg
      @valeriaavg 4 года назад +73

      You have to find your own routine and discover what's good for your skin.
      But the "classic theory" says that the Oil Cleanser it's just for the nighttime cause it's meant to melt down all the makeup, the sunscreen, etc. (but some people use the oil cleansing step in the morning as well). Then, the Water Cleanser it's what you should use every day and night to cleanse your face (but again, there are some people that claim to use micellar water or just water in the morning cause the cleanser is way too stripping for them).
      The face masks are meant to use once or twice a week or so, but not in a daily basis.
      When it comes to treatments, you have to look for information about each one and find out how they work best for you (some are for the daytime and some for the nighttime). But the theory says that after the cleanser goes the hydrating toner and then the serums (if you use them). The next step is moisturizer, which obviously is used in the morning and at night, and finally the sunscreen just in the morning.
      At the end of the day, most of the professionals agree that the crucial steps are: Cleanse, moisturize and protect form the sun 😄

    • @Mienarrr
      @Mienarrr 4 года назад +7

      Janos Merc some people honestly say it‘s fine not to do the cleansing steps in the morning as well, since you we‘rent loading up on comedogenic products during the night, but i‘d honestly see what works for you. it also depends if your skin is more oily and you feel you need to wash it with more than water in the morning as well. but dont forget to top it up with moisturizer and an spf in the morning :)!

    • @AmberyTear
      @AmberyTear 4 года назад +1

      Cleanser and a moisturizer twice a day are absolute minimum. I use the same things for night and day. Altho for night I use good stuff that's, sadly, shiny and just doesn't look good when applied.

      Depends if ur skin is drying or oily. Kost people keep it minimal during the day. Personally I have combo skin I wash my face once at night then apply toner serum and moisturiser or night cream. U could do a mask morning or night but no more than an couple times a week in my opinion depending on the mask. In the morning I usually take a toner and likely cleanse my t-zone to remove and excess oil before apply my daytime moisturizer/serum and sunscreen .. but a lot of people just do a rinse in the morning unless u have super oily skin than u may find it helpful to cleanse twice a day.. just always moisturize after cleansing.
