Hyram, I found you on RUclips 10 days ago when my skin started to fall apart. And since then I can’t stop watching you. I am watching you while driving, on my lunch break, in the restroom 🙈, on my bed. Basically any time any where and I can’t get enough of you. You are so adorable and fun to watch 😃.. Thank you so much for making such helpful and informative videos ❤️❤️

Every since I found your channel I’ve been consciously trying to figure out which ingredients are “good” versus “bad”, and my skin is so complicated it’s hard to tell what works (for reference I have combination acne prone skin with hyperpigmentation around my cheeks and those little bumps on my forehead). Can you do a video on what too look for in a body “butter” moisturizer. I’m in my mid 40s and started showing signs of thinning which is common in the females of my family
You are just the best. I've found your videos recently and they basically changed my life. I was looking for such a long time for somebody who can explain the ingredients and why a bottle of 20 Euro is not always better than something that costs just 5 euro. Thank you sooo much!
Finally someone said it! The dosages of ingredients are the most important! If a bad ingredient is in a product it doesn't automatically make it a bad product. SLS is usually hated by people as an ingredient, but if it is in a lower concentration and in a well formulated product it is absolutely fine.
Since I've started watching you and James welsh, I don't ever trust any other claims and/or products about skin care apart from the ones you say are good 😍😍😍😍😍 there are so many skin care advice on the internet that it's overwhelming and I'm thankful I found you ❤
Yes!!! I love this! I struggle so much understanding what’s in my ingredient list so this is perfect! You always go into such detail about ingredients and I love hearing about how specific things affect my skin 🧐🤓
Yes I went to TJ Maxx on Saturday and was looking at the ingredient list of almost every single product and still couldn’t understand the ingredient list even after watching Hyram on RUclips a few times since but all is the basic ingredients Hyram always mentions in all his RUclips video’s and since I know Niacinamide is the best ingredient and Hyram’s absolute favorite I am always looking any products ingredient list to see if Niacinamide is an ingredient which if it is I then look to see if it’s at least one of the top 6 ingredients because I also already knew that if the ingredient is high up their in the list it’s more effective in a product
Hyram, Thank you for making videos like this! I have severe anxiety about finding the right products for me and aalso to know what information is mumbo jumbo and which is truthful. you regularly explain why things are the way they are and you have done your research; you have trustworthy and accurate information which helps someone like me feel less anxious and more prepared. You also have such a kind, light, and sweet vibe so your videos are so easy to watch and They have so much information that allows me to understand my skin needs and help me be able to build a skin care routine best for myself!!!! Thank you so much for all that you do!!!
I started watching your videos a couple weeks ago and now I can’t stop! I love skin care and you make it so fun and easy to learn about. You’re definitely becoming my favorite RUclipsr!!:)
Very well said! I’m an esthetician and its great to see a video like this! You will never stop learning and It’s so important to keep educating yourself on things like this ❤️
I love your information. You saved my skin from denatured alcohol and essential oils. I have had muuuuch less problems with rashes and dryness since I completely eliminated them!!!
This is the best video ever. Now whenever I buy any skin care product I have used the education that I got from this video to make informed consumer decisions. THANKYOU HYRAM. Cant say enough how this is an awesome educational video which is an important life skill.
So glad someone like you is gaining popularity!! There’s ssooo much knowledge to be had about these topics! I was going to start a channel years ago bc I’m an esthetician & also a marketing major & also sell beauty products for a living, but never got around to it. Again, SO glad you’re doing this bc RUclips has a serious lack of skincare info from experts !
Thank you so much, as a consumer I find skin care extremely overwhelming with so many options. It's so refreshing having someone who is genuine and honest. I always thought if products say 95% natural it must be good, however finding out now that Iv'e been fooled by marketing. So thank you !!!
You must have been reading my mind! I was just curious and started reading the ingredients on my current skincare products. and I was left wondering how do I even know if these ingredients are good or not?
I would just like to say that your channel is really helping me in my skin care journey. You always make these things easy to understand so I'm super grateful. ❤️
You're amazing 😄i am a beauty adviser, i work with some brands and i go to masterclasses but they don't teach what you teach here!!! This is the most perfect RUclips channel 😍😍😍thank you so much for your amazing job here and for being so helpful and funny too😄😄😄love your intros btw😍😍😍
I've been doing skincare for a few years already, but I never had any idea what I'm actually supposed to do and what to avoid. This is literally the most informative and helpful video because you can't find any easily understandable and condensed information anywhere. I'm so happy to have found your channel, you're videos have helped me so much already. Thank you and keep up the amazing work!
I signed up a few weeks ago, and bought a few products to start taking care of my skin. 🥰 I'm so excited! 😃 I just came across this video, and now I realize that I have ordered 2 products that contain an "average" ingredient according to Paula's Choice (Sodium Hydroxide). 😱 This is really at the end of the ingredient list for both, I hope my skin will not be sensitized! 😯😥
In German drugstores, there is not a single affordable skincare product without fragrance it’s exhausting😩 thank Hyram for introducing me to the ordinary and thanks beauty bay for the fast delivery 👏🏼
I recommended your channel to my junior friend in school because she’s getting older and is becoming interested in makeup and skincare and I said “okay bbyg, you need to watch Hyram” and now she’s obsessed ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hyram I really appreciate you! ❤️ even though I’m getting close to 30 and always *thought* I was killing the skincare game, you helped me revamp the way I take care of my skin and are a rockstar. You helped me bring my skincare game to a much higher level. Thank you!
so recently stumbled up/subscribed to your channel about 4 weeks ago and I am so glad I did. I am currently 27 years old and I really wish I would have known all of this skincare information when I was in highschool😔 I never had a skincare routine and brace yourself, I would use alcohol to clean my face after removing my make up! I did it for a couple of years. I obviously regret it now! 🥺 I wish I could go back in time to change my ways. I started a skincare routine and focusing on my skin in 2016. so now I am really self aware of the things I put on my face. I am so grateful for all of the FREE advice/information you put on your channel!😭 I have nasty dark circles under my eyes and today I went to Ulta to purchase the CeraVe eye repair cream! I am so excited to see how this works for me🙂
Hyram! I love your videos Just wanted to share my recent experience....(I've learnt soooooo much. You have transformed my skincare routine)... I was in Boots ( British drugstore) yesterday and looking through their skin care options and a lady asked me.."Do you know anything about skincare?" I literally found myself channelling you! I'm a 55 year old British lady ...ha ha....she went away happily with some appropriate products for her skin concerns...FAB U LOUS! You are influencing and helping so many peeps. Bless you! Xx
I'm going to binge watch every video on you channel until it's bed time Also as a non-native english speaker the way you pronounce the ingredients name it's a lot clearer than how some people say it so thank you very much for that
LOVE these resources!!! Brightening agent question! I know you love Niacinamide, but how would you compare it to Vitamin C used for brightening purposes? Which one do you prefer and why?
Your channel is the only channe I’ve truly learned anything from. I honestly had horrible skin before and would use all different skin care still wondering why my skin was so bad haha now my skin is waaaaay better because I know how to look at ingredients. You really are my favorite skin care RUclipsr!! 🖤
The minute you started mentioning paula’s choice dictionary I was relieved to hear you are happy with that resource because that’s where I go so far to know ingredients in products I try so far!
I literally checked all the skincare products I use and saw that they have Sodium Laureth Sulfate or Sodium Laura Sulfate as one of the first 6 ingredients like maybe the second or third ingredient on the list so I don’t use them even the cleanser my sister gave me has Sodium Laureth Sulfate as the second ingredient and so I don’t use it but need to buy some more skincare products so I can trash the one’s I currently have except for the two cleansers I am using rn
thank you so much for this video!!! since discovering your channel, i’ve started to focus on the ingredient lists before buying but i usually forget the names of what to avoid - i only remember to look for fragrance and alcohol so this is really helpful! 🙌🏻
i was always curious about stuff that i used why its how its made and things like that ... but whenever i view someone's review about a product it made me feel a bit anxious that in the world can they say its a good product or a bad just by showing it and using it on their face... BUT. MAN YOU ARE GOOD AT WHAT YOU ARE DOING 'LOVE YOUR WORK' i am really happy that now i can analyze through ingredient list and other steps that you just mentioned.. GREAT WORK KEEP DOING IT.
sulfat very common! Denatured alcohol can be beneficial in small quantities to allow certain ingredients to penetrate better. The RUclips channel Kenna has a great video on her channel of the effects of different alcohols
@@MissTrench101 although i don't slather my face with alcohol-based poducts because that's just asking for a disaster to happen. but i saturate the product onto a cotton pad and then gently pat it onto my problem areas where i have breakouts, redness, scabs, etc. it works wonders honestly. also the product i'm talking about is the Neutrogena Pore Refining toner: Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Formula.
Wanted to thank you for all the great info! I am now double cleansing. I didn’t know about this until watching your videos. More aware of ingredients now. Again thank you you have helped me a lot! 😊

Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into your content, Hyram. I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and I have gathered so much useful information from your videos about skincare, and especially this one! I just did a complete restock of my entire skincare routine, and I have to say that I was absolutely mortified when I looked up the ingredients of the things I have been putting on my face, without ever reading or trying to understand the ingredients. Can you do a video on what too look for in a body “butter” moisturizer. I’m in my mid 40s and started showing signs of thinning which is common in the females of my family
Christi Kiser I highly recommended looking at Paula’s Choice Body Treatments ! :))
I recommend African Shea butter. Keeps moisture in and my skin is so soft, even in these harsh winter months.
Bc of u I was like reading ingredients on a skincare product when I see one around the house. I AM SUPER THANKFUL. YOU ARE A BLESSING ❤
YESSS!!! Who else just starts dancing strangely when Hyram uploads?
You are just the best. I've found your videos recently and they basically changed my life. I was looking for such a long time for somebody who can explain the ingredients and why a bottle of 20 Euro is not always better than something that costs just 5 euro. Thank you sooo much!
YOU HAVE CHANGED ME HYRAM!!! YOU HAVE CHANGED MY SKIN CARE FOR THE BETTER!! HONESTLY, THANK YOU
Finally someone said it! The dosages of ingredients are the most important! If a bad ingredient is in a product it doesn't automatically make it a bad product. SLS is usually hated by people as an ingredient, but if it is in a lower concentration and in a well formulated product it is absolutely fine.
734k subscribers! Hyram you are helping so many people with their skin! Love the videos.
Thank you so much Meghan, that is so sweet! ❤️
@@Hyram You are so fake.
You will never stop learning and It’s so important to keep educating yourself on things like this ❤️
Whenever I see a skin care product, I think “What would Hyram do?”
I love your information. You saved my skin from denatured alcohol and essential oils. I have had muuuuch less problems with rashes and dryness since I completely eliminated them!!!
When I learned phenoxyethanol could globally only be used at 1% max, my ingredient-analysing skills leveled up dramatically
it also really helps to check things like plant extract percentages, to see if they're at a percentage that actually does something lol
This is the best video ever. Now whenever I buy any skin care product I have used the education that I got from this video to make informed consumer decisions. THANKYOU HYRAM. Cant say enough how this is an awesome educational video which is an important life skill.
Can you do a review on Elf skincare? I recently started using some of the products and like them, but I would love to know your opinion!
Yes please !!
AHHH IM SO EARLY thank you for teaching me skincare everyday hyram!!
Of course!! Thank you so much for watching Gaby! ❤️
Your profile pic is so cute
You’ve taught me so much about how to perfect my skin. YOURE A BLESSING!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Now I read ingredients for food , body wash and skincare this video really helped me have knowledge about ingredients in products
the face he’s making in the thumbnail is the face my parents make when i show them a meme
I ran out of cleanser the other day and per your advice I purchased YTTP Kale and OMG it will always be my cleanser now!!! THANK YOU!
Every day Im closer to knowing what that "skincare" actually is
I signed up a few weeks ago, and bought a few products to start taking care of my skin. 🥰 I'm so excited! 😃 I just came across this video, and now I realize that I have ordered 2 products that contain an "average" ingredient according to Paula's Choice (Sodium Hydroxide). 😱
This is really at the end of the ingredient list for both, I hope my skin will not be sensitized! 😯😥
In German drugstores, there is not a single affordable skincare product without fragrance it’s exhausting😩 thank Hyram for introducing me to the ordinary and thanks beauty bay for the fast delivery 👏🏼
Balea MED has great product that are for sensitive skin thus with no fragrance at all
I recommended your channel to my junior friend in school because she’s getting older and is becoming interested in makeup and skincare and I said “okay bbyg, you need to watch Hyram” and now she’s obsessed ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Specifically clicked hoping to learn more about the fragrance/oils/extract aspect of products! You are amazing🥺💕
Hyram I really appreciate you! ❤️ even though I’m getting close to 30 and always *thought* I was killing the skincare game, you helped me revamp the way I take care of my skin and are a rockstar. You helped me bring my skincare game to a much higher level. Thank you!
Its almost 1 am, my baby is asleep and I am watching this in the dark.
🙋🏽♀️
so recently stumbled up/subscribed to your channel about 4 weeks ago and I am so glad I did. I am so excited to see how this works for me🙂
This is like moving from a bachelor's degree to a master's in skincare
Bless you! Xx
I need an app for Paula’s Choice dictionary right now!!!🤓❤️
I'm going to binge watch every video on you channel until it's bed time
Also as a non-native english speaker the way you pronounce the ingredients name it's a lot clearer than how some people say it so thank you very much for that
LOVE these resources!!!
I’m in on the ground floor on a video I’ve been waiting for, this day can’t get better Hyram 💜
The minute you started mentioning paula’s choice dictionary I was relieved to hear you are happy with that resource because that’s where I go so far to know ingredients in products I try so far!
How I read a ingredients list:
*dosent see any ingredients i remember hyram speaking about *
Me: TRASH IT.
Same 😂
i saw denatured alcohol on a sunscreen and RAN. thc Hyram
SAME SIS
@@magnusbane420 RUUN
Yes so happy you uploaded this ❤️
I hope you enjoy!! 🥰
i was always curious about stuff that i used why its how its made and things like that ... but whenever i view someone's review about a product it made me feel a bit anxious that in the world can they say its a good product or a bad just by showing it and using it on their face... BUT. MAN YOU ARE GOOD AT WHAT YOU ARE DOING 'LOVE YOUR WORK' i am really happy that now i can analyze through ingredient list and other steps that you just mentioned.. GREAT WORK KEEP DOING IT.
for some reason denatured alcohol reduces redness for me whenever it's paired with aloe barbadensis leaf juice.
sulfat very common!
i clicked on this video so fast :) thank you for inspiring me to treat my skin better :)
Your videos are the reason why I started being more cautious about the ingredients of my cosmetic items, love you Hyram
You are a gem. Best teacher ever. Thank you!!!!
Litteraly youve tuaght me so much i didnt realise how bad i was damaging my skin until i subbed to u
Hyram I have been struggling with oiliness and breakouts and trying different products left and right, basically going in blind and hoping they will work for me. With this video you have empowered me to look for what ingredients aren't working for me and find ones that do. Thank you so much 😭
I’ve been trying to look at the ingredients before choosing my skincare since watching your videos but I never know what I’m reading and end up getting whatever anyway lol
We are all with you on that...I still have to research many myself
I’ve always been soo obsessed w reading skincare ingredients butt I hardly ever understood wtf I was reading. Thanks bb!!♥️
I love you! You have inspired me to want to be a dermatologist!
Again, thank you so much!
Hyram could you please review philosophy? You’re literally the only skin care guru I trust😭🤩
