No Purito anymore? 🧐
I think we need a part 2 with Benton, Sioris, Purito, iUnik, Mizon, Missha, Wishtrend and Beauty of Joseon.
Up
Also etude house, holika holika, skin79
skin1004 too
Yeeeees
Yes, please
Nature republic has been my favorite brand for 7 years since I moved to Korea! It is actually quite underrated and they have soo many different lines! They have an aqua line, cica, bee venom, snail, and aloe! So there’s definitely something for everyone! Also a lot of these brands you mentioned are not all necessarily popular for their skincare but rather their makeup or haircare, like tonymoly which is mostly popular for its makeup
I advice you to try Tony Moly aloe vera instead of Nature Republic's. Formula is totally different haha (I went to a few stores and Tony Moly was the cleanest formula actually)
I love how supportive everyone in the skincare community is and how clear it is you all speak behind the scenes and band together ( *cough* LOOKING AT YOU KEEP COOL *cough* )
Can you talk about Japanese skincare products!?🤓 I don’t think I’ve seen you talk about them before and aim super curious !

Hyram your videos are in desperate need of:

The time stamp I agree 100% with
CosRX and Dear Klairs are two Korean brands that haven’t done me any wrong, ever.
Ever!!
Same here and Rovectin too
SAME, Klairs literally saved my skin, Klairs and Cosrx are my go too
What's your skin type tho?
YESSS
I used Innisfree for years as my primary brand and I have suuuuuuper sensitive skin. Yeah, the products smell really nice, it's something I love about them, but they smell like their primary ingredient. The orchid line, smells like orchids and the green tea smells like tea. The strength varies by the line since some scents are just stronger than other but it does not detract from the products effectiveness in any way.
i watched this because i got the cleansing water and really liked it the one time i tried but could tell their was a little fragrance. i was curious if it affected people w sensitive skin THAT badly. it didn’t smell super fragranced to me but there’s also no way to know how much agh
this is SOOO helpful. i’m moving to korea next month & im very glad you made this video!!!
fun fact about amorepacific- I often am in Korea due to family, and Amorepacific actually owns a ton of land in Jeju where they grow different botanicals (lots of green tea) as organically and away from pollution as possible. Theyre also very transparent about how everything is run and personally handled-the gardens are actually open to the public and you can also buy all the teas they grow! (they also make a great green tea cake haha) It’s definitely one of the most expensive brands (along with Su:m37, Hera, history of whoo, etc), but I have noticed that it is the most popular expensive brand Koreans will buy over comparably priced western skincare brands which are very popular.
Me: I have errands to do
Hyram: aloha everyone
Also me: adult duties can wait 📺 👀
Hehehe 😂 I know, right !
Love how you get straight to the point.
Missing so many good brands: iunik, missha, beauty of joseon, etude house, mizon...
yess i was waiting for etude house especially!
And also Benton,purito
Eww no.. not Etude house and Missha. I'm Korean and they are considered cheap store brands popular among pre-teens. I don't think even teenagers purchase these anymore. You wouldn't trust your skin care using Elf skincare if they ever come up with a skincare line..
@@kerrie9191 ELF does have a skincare line.
@@kerrie9191 ...hit send accidentally. But wanted to thank you for the knowledge about the lesser Korean brands. 🙂
It's worth of mention that Innisfree, Laneige and Dr Jart are not Cruelty-free.
I think I need to try more of Isntree this year 🙌🏻
Innisfree is cruelty free
“Utter Disappointment” SIS DID NOT HOLD BACK BUT POP OFF

Yes! Would love love love a review video for TIMY. I've used their Balancing Duo before and am a fan (especially of the essence) but would love to hear your thoughts/ingredient breakdown/ etc. Thank you!!
YAY!!!! i just bought a ton of isntree after trying their little sampler pack and i’m obsessed with it as well, so stoked it gets your stamp of approval! i seriously want to buy THE ENTIRE LINE. halp.
I wish iUNIK will be feature on the list cause I love the brand so much😍 but still love this video😘
I'm ashamed to say this but I didn't realize Instree and Innisfree were two separate brands until watching this video. Good to know, thanks Hyram
I LOVE THIS CONTENT SO MUCHHHH!
Innisfree gentle care line is the best. Fixed my skin barrier and I can’t live without it ❤️
This is the earliest I’ve ever been 😭 thanks Hyram, you’re a skincare angel
I’ll always be obsessed with Korean Skincare, even with the craze of the “10 step skincare” a few years ago, I don’t understand how they are so underrated!
it depends where are you from... korean skincare is absolutely top popular is asia and i think very popular in us ( because of skincare gurus lol) in europe u can find some products in drugstores BUT the price is high as well not many ppl just buy some serums or mask with "strange" writting on it lol... i am sure if korean brands had huge adds it will become so much more popular
thanks hyram for making my day better! My brother messed everything up and I just feel so much better

So many options! Needed this breakdown 😫

I watch your videos all the time here in Korea! I haven’t tried any of your top 3 brands before. Krave Beauty is however sold out here every time I check 😩 when I knew nothing about skin care, I always bought everything from innisfree. One day I went to the Gangnam branch and showed them my membership card while paying to receive the special discount and promotions, I had a toooon of points and they told me “no, this is a Korean people discount only.” I was shocked, I had spent ridiculous amounts of money in their stores and am a resident here. Thank God it happened though, it forced me to research proper skin care and then I found your channel! Thank you for being so informative!

Thanks Dr Rattan! For sensitive skin, I’d highly recommend a very well-known K-skincare product called “Zeroid Soothing Cream”. In fact, loads of board-certified dermatologists based in S. Korea recommend this product for sure :) This product has an excellent reputation for its MLE technology, which UC San Francisco researchers also approved that it actually helps restoring your skin lipid barrier! I think you should try and review this product some time, please!

i cant believe hyram would leave out iunik like that
I actually changed my Cerave cleanser (that I bought after seeing on this chanel) to the Innisfree truecare calamine 6.5 cleanser and I like it better! It's great ony body too~ Also I really agree with your opinion, that lots of big Korean skinfood companies like Tony Moly tries to sell their products with aesthetics, like cutsey stuff that contains shitty ingredients. Not surprising that their stores are slowly disappearing. However I live in Korea but the brands on your list, I actually never heard about 70%of them 😂 I missed some great, big brands from the list like :holikaholika, aestura, skinfood, etude house (the good lines like soon jung or ac clean up) espoir, saem~ They are the popular ones between avarage people based on my observations from skincare ranking sites like Glowpick.
No matter how many times I see it , i effing love your pendant !

The dear klairs AHA soap is so overlooked and underrated. It’s a good exfoliant for oily skin and I use it twice a week.
Hey Hyram! The Face Shop actually does have a line thats fragrance free and essential oil free. Its also dermatologically tested as well. Its called the Dr Belmeur line, with a clarifying line and a cica line to treat both oily and dry skin.
Innisfree does have some fragrance free products as well! Both the bija cica balm and bija cica gel emphasise on Centella Asiatica for wound healing and acne scar healing. Definitely recommend them!
Love you Hyram and thank you for all your super helpful info. Could you please do a review on A'pieu!!
there’s also this Korean skincare brand called Abib that I see no one talking about I don’t rly like their serum things but their moisturizers are amAziNg
Love their sheet masks
The Dr. Jart Ceramide Cream has literally saved my skin from this dermatitis/irritation/whatever the hell is going on with my skin!!
Bumping this up. Thank you because I discovered Isntree! Definitely a game changer! Worth it and so effective! I have their Hya toner and Mugworth serum and danggg they make magic! I'm so in love!
Yeaaaaah I would love to see a review of Nature Republic, specifically from the Vitamin C product line :)
“Are you not UM-BARR-ASSED, this is REALLY uM-bAr-rAsS-iNg” 💀💀💀
What about Benton, Purito, iUnik? Where would you put them? :)
I'm a little surprised Purito didn't make this list. He has really raved about them in the past. I know there was some controversy about their sunscreen, but as I understand it they were really classy about how they handled it. He loved their other products.
him missing purito and iunik i feel like speaks him trying to put out a lot of videos quickly. Wish he double checked since he missed youth to the people and biossance in his overall ranking video too
He meantioned purito referenced the scandal but then didn’t rank them or iunik which he has recommended
I think he's gonna put them either "I'll buy it" or "absolutely obsessed"..he made a review video for both brands and he keep praising the brand throughout the entire video and he even said that purito is his favourite k-brand(but idk how he felt now since the spf controversy)
Missha also...
One of my fave Korean skincare products is the Missha First Treatment Essence. It’s pretty popular and have been regarded as one of the affordable alternatives to SK-II minus the smell. I also like that the Missha essence has no alcohol or fragrance or essential oils.
It doesn’t seem like much at the beginning but after using it for over 5 years consistently, I notice it has made some difference to my skin and does not cause my skin to break out. It’s compatible with most of my other skincare products so far as well.
Your skincare products are very informative and helpful, Thank you! Could you do videos for haircare? especially dry, rough and damaged hair?
I am kinda sad that you didn't put the brand 'Missha' into the tierlist. Because their sunscreens are soooo good and I wanted to hear your opinion on them
Love their sunscreen.
I miss your “for the feet” category 😂
I got into Dear Klairs because of you!! And I never looked back!! For my type of skin they are amazing!!
Thanks for this!! I was wondering what your opinion is on the Soon Jung products... next time! :)

If you want, you can start with the basics. A good sunscreen and a basic cleanser. Then start adding things later on when you feel ready.

I wish you could do one with French skincare, like Darphin, Caudalie, Clarins, Vichy, LRP, etc. For some reason their skincare really works for me.
Yessss, would love to see your take on Nature Republic products!!
I'm also curious of ur reviews of Aprilskin>
Was really surprised not to see Purito and iUnik. Was waiting to see where you ordered them!
I was waiting the whole video to see if you talk about A’pieu and Pleaaaase check that out specifically The Carrot serum
I'm pretty surprised that he didn't rank iunik or purito considering that he made separate videos for them. Also Missha is huge in the US
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I find this very useful, because I too can't stand overwhelming fragrances these days. Not that irritates my skin, but it irritates my sense of smell because most of the time they smell overwhelmingly artificial.
Would love to see a video with Korean skincare for mature skin please!
I wasn’t a fan of Korean brands until last year. The formulas are so amazing, really giving the results people are asking for, the prices are cheaper. For Western brands, the psychology behind is you have to pay the price higher to get the better results. For Korean brands, it is less likely to irritate the skin, there is ‘wow’ or ‘it’s okay’. There’s no inbetween. BUT, sunscreens!!! Their sunscreens are so easy to be obsessed with since applying on their skin.
I started using Rovectin Clean’s Lotus Water Cream after seeing the recommendation in one of your videos. I’m combination skin and adding this moisturizer was the best!!
P.S You get pretty stickers with these!!
Thanks so much for this video, it is useful. :) I am in love with Korean skincare. I am craving for more info! Can you do targeted videos for skincare problems and recommend Korean products for them? e.g. redness, oily skin, acne etc
