This is by far the best skincare explanation video I've seen. You broke it down so easily and made it so comprehensible! I've always done skincare but never really knew for a fact what each product was used for or even when to use it and you made that so clear in this video. Thank you for this!!!
I have always cleansed and moisturized but just started getting into skin meds and serums. They have made such a huge difference in texture and I no longer have blackheads. My pores are smaller as well. I was absolutely lost at which order to use them all though. You made it so easy for me now. Thank you!

Just be careful, normally use Vitamin C in the morning, because you cannot mix with retinol. And do not use retinol every day from day 1, you have to use to it :) I don't use toner but i use exfoliant after double cleansing, I think it is an unnecessary step.
Hello....I actually use them together. At night I use a vitamin C moisturizer on top of my retinol. I use retinol, wait about 15mins for it to dry then use my serum, next when the serum is dry I put on my moisturizer that contains the Vit C, lastly I add a thin layer of oil on top depending on what my skin is in need of at that time.. I have a few I switch around using, but my new favorite is the StriVectin Super-C Retinol oil. If your skin isn't sensitive you can definitely use them together. I used to not be huge on using toner every day, but since I've been using The Inkey Glycolic Acid Toner I am a fan. I don't usually double cleanse because I exfoliate so often, and when I use this toner (with a cotton pad) I make sure to swipe my neck and chest and the pad always ends up having sebum, sweat, something on it after wiping. Whatever its removning I definitely don't want it left on my skin 😂...it's an amazing product. ❤
The consistency method works well for beginners but if you want to get the most out of your actives use what you want to work the most first and work from there. I apply retinol and vitamin C on clean/dry face and then I’ll go in with my Ha and moisturizers. If your sensitive skinned, you would want to use the sandwich method or cycle your actives.

Your toner has great properties and needs to stay on the skin. Anything you use that “cleanses or peels or exfoliates”. should be used first. I noticed when you used your AHA/BHA you wiped off all of the great stuff in the toner/essence. Some toners are meant to help exfoliate or clear pores and yes, they should be used first. But a toner that’s also considered an essence should be used after any exfoliating or cleansing. Just something I noticed while watching. I hated to see wiping off all those great ingredients. 😊
Very thorough. Should you be putting retinol on top of bha though? If it’s a milder retinol formula too I wonder if it should be on top of other skincare? I’ve read you shouldn’t wet retinol if that makes sense. Just some pointers 😊
It moreso depends on your skins level of sensitivity ^^ you can definitely use a bha exfoliant with Retinol, in addition to even wetting your skin prior to using Retinol products. However, generally people need to build a little resistance to these products over time before doing so!
Dermatologists usually recommend not using bha and retinol on the same day. Like you use retinol every other day and the other days you use BHA. They also advise not using retinol on a wet face because it makes the retinol absorb faster which can cause irritation and inflammation
Came back to thank you for you tricks and advice! My skin is looking more like glass by each passing day! I now double cleanse my face with two products, one milk cleanser and the other foaming cleanser. This is by far the most that have helped my skin! I also now use toner. I didn't know that using toner will help my skin absorb other products better. No wonder my skin always felt dry, and I would use a good amount of moisturizer to get my skin from feeling dry, now a little bit of moisturizer does the job! The rest of the skincare routine I have been doing, but what a big difference it has made by just double cleansing and using toner.
Oh thank you for breaking the steps down. For the most part I got it right but I “wasn’t sure”. This video really helped me out a lot. I literally took out my “skincare journal”. Btw - (you already know this) but you have BEAUTIFUL SKIN!!!

Lol how does one tell the difference between greasy or glass skin? To me they look the same. If I hadn’t watch the process I would have just thought that it was greasy or oily. 🧐😝
I somehow see a difference
Oily skin is textured either due to large pores or acneish things. Glass in smooth and dewy.
greasy is like there's a layer of oil on your face while glass skin looks like it reflects some light
Glass skin has less texture. And you can FEEL the difference by touching the skin. Glass skin is soft and smooth, never greasy and oily. Glass skin also has reduced pores and is virtually free of pimples and other texture irregularities.

Honestly you like gorgeous with or without makeup, so jealous ❤
Could I please get your recommendation for the moisturizer you used? I didn’t see it on the list. Thank you!
You didn't name the moisturiser that you used. Can you let me know please? Many thanks
