Exactly, man I have a A80J and a C1 and I got the S95B and after watching those TVs the S95B is way better in every way because the colors, clarity and brightness is better and the motion is better on the S95B
I have to see the Samsung in person. Not liking the saturation I'm seeing in certain scenes but in others it freaking shines. Love where we are at with TV tech. Great video B.
Yes it's oversaturated but it can be changed in the settings no problem and each colour can be altered to your liking so I don't get why people bash on the colour. It's like complaining your speakers are too loud at max volume lol.
Great video with your wife B! My wife and I are the same way. Dream work makes the team work! The Samsung Quantum dot OLED S95B looks like the future of OLED for sure!!!
I'm definitely enthusiastic about the introduction of QD-OLED displays. I haven't actually owned an OLED TV yet because I still have a plasma TV with good picture quality that continues to work well. I will need to replace my plasma TV eventually, though, so I'm glad that I now have the option of investing in a state-of-the-art QD-OLED. I'm eagerly waiting for Sony's A95K QD-OLED to come on the market this year and I will be very interested in seeing how it compares to this Samsung S95B. My guess is that the Sony A95K will be even better than the S95B, but it will be considerably more expensive and it might be hard to justify the extra cost. I'll wait for Black Friday sales before I make a decision (or maybe look forward to new models in 2023...)
I am an LCD guy and QDO is the first OLED I bought waiting for delivery. Because it's the first OLED tech that actually looks like a QLED/LCD showing more. You might have had "contrast enhancer" on with that cartoon side by side. But I personally loved what I saw there. You could actually see everything, no crushing. It looks more like what I would see on a bright LCD. But you get the OLED blacks and zero blooming and all other goodies. It's the best of both worlds. Yeah it's not accurate in colors or pushing EOTF a bit. So what, as long as it looks good to my eyes, that it the only thing that matters. I would likely even push some things myself even if S95B was the most accurate TV in the world. I would because I prefer it brighter etc.
hey B the installer where did you put the 65 inch Sony A90J that you had in the bedroom? especially now that you have the Samsung QD OLED in there now?
Call me crazy, but I actually preferred the A90J in the side by side comparison. The S95B didn't seem to accurately portray the scene where they're sitting around the table, or how I imagine a room like that is actually lighted. The S95B made it seem like the room had lights EVERYWHERE when they were sitting around the table. There were zero shadows on faces, the background was completely lit up. A good example is at @13:43 where you clearly have one source of light coming from one direction, but the opposite side of her face is almost completely lit up. And their skin tones seem a little more orange as well. I wonder how the A95k will portray this with the XR chip.
To me the most important improvement is uniformity. No banding or really really small one on qd-Oled. You can close curtains when struggling with brightness but you can’t do anything with banding
I still wish OLED was brighter but I agree, my QN90A actually has good uniformity but there are very faint lines going down the screen. I only see them on an angle or when the picture is in movie mode and is panning across snow for example, but it’s enough to annoy me.
I was so excited when mine arrived and as I was unboxing it and taking off the foam my TV had a huge bend and crack in the corner that you showed, I was so sad having to repackage it all for a return.
Hey Brandon, I'm undecided between the Samsung S95B 65 inch and or the Sony A90j 65 inch from last year... I'm not a gamer, so I'll mostly be using it for watching movies thru my directv, sports, and movies thru my 4k Blu ray player... I'm undecided between the two
Finally, a decision was made. Have been going back and forth between QLED and OLED due to the brightness of the room and multiple windows. Going with this model exclusively for that very reason. 55 is as large as will fit for the room layout. That narrow mount also saves me on the stand.

I have a 6800XT system, and 3080 Ti system. I ran both on the s95B. In PC mode you get 120hz,but no free-sync or G-sync. Once you turn on Game mode both will be activated.
@@chrislee4064 - I currently have a Q70R which has Freesync Ultimate and I can turn on G-Sync with my Nvidia cards, but it doesn't actually work in games. Great review and un boxing , I saw s95b 4 weeks ago at high end tv store I go to , it was better than every tv in the store with few flaws, but to me no flaws in gaming. I can't wait to see the A95k .
Early October I purchased a QD OLED S95B 55in from Samsung Canada. After a month of tweaking and calibration, I still faced motion issues watching LIVE CONTENT. FPS drop from 60FPS to 30 every 1-2 min, it jerks and looks like I'm watching a 24p movie. Called for support and I was appointed a technician. Saw what I was talking about and mentioned that it is what it is. Maybe a firmware update can help, but Samsung releases 1-2 per year a firmware update. Technician mentioned that it is by design. I have an A95K based on the same panel and it does not have any motion issues like the S95B. Called back support & request Full refund as I'm not satisfied. Support Agent had a very bad approach and kept pushing back and rely on Samsung politics. Did not have any empathy nor he tried to understand my experience and kept reading the Technician note and shoving Samsung's politics in my face. Very Bad customer service on top of a bad S95B TV. Do not buy this TV and keep away from Samsung in General, as once you buy a product, you're not satisfied in a few days then your stuck with a junk product. Bad $2500 investment.
Super reviews.. I only watch movies on these so the brightness is second to the sound and ease of menu options. Still like the 77" for my huge living room as a small tv looks out of place. Thank you for another great review!!!

Maybe I missed this but was the S95B put in Filmmaker mode for the comparison? That would at least make it as close as it can be to being calibrated right? Nice video, looking forward to seeing it going up against the X95K and later against the A95K!
Yeah I don't get that and it's been happening across the board. A calibrated other Oled that is most likely in some form of filmmaker mode vs the S95B in standard. No point reviewing it like that
Hi I'm from England and a month ago I have pre-ordered the Sony QD OLED A95K 65" and will be interesting to pair that with the new Samsung. I hope you do a test and compare them. What's the blacks like on your new Samsung specifically when you get the black bars in films?
I rewatched this video and in the screen shots from Encanto while it does brighten the faces it also seems to take away shadowing cast on the faces. Lighting isn’t always directly from the front, even in animated movies. So when the lighting is from the right the left side of their faces should be somewhat shaded. The S95B seem to take this effect away completely. Has a lot of punch but …. Did you notice this as well in person B??
I think he has "contrast enhancer" on. Which could be the reason. There are a lot of tweak options to use. To me it looked closer to a QLED like he said with the settings that was on. He was in Standard picture mode too. It pushes EOTF a lot more I assume. I personally just find it cool you can actually get it so much more brighter you can actually SEE into the shadows and not have it crush. Could that mean slightly less contrast look at times. Perhaps, but you still retain perfect blacks and those advantages. Also when watching something you don't have another TV beside it "judging" the looks. But you will always have the more brightness.
Love the TV, came from the KS8000 60". But can't use with home theater/AVR and most sound bars due to TV keeps defaulting to TV speakers when you turn it back on. eARC cec will not turn on your system. Know problem. Waiting for Samsung to resolve On Jan 10th, keeping fingers crossed, or I have to buy a different brand :(
I like 🥰😍😍 the only thing I don't like is the stand 🤮 it's to small for the tv I'm planning on buying one tho n 4sure I'm hanging it on the wall I'm coming from a LG oled 2018 model I hope it's worth upgrading ❤❤
This new QD oled technology makes the WRGB oled absolute. The only thing that was missing from that, was brightness and that seems to not be a problem anymore QD oleds. And on top of that we have a much higher color volume that can't be matched. Buying a WRGB oled in 2022 doesn't make sense if you want the best
@@micker9830 I think WRGB OLED will be forced into the upper-mid tier range and will compete with mini-LED. Pricing will need to be at least 30% cheaper than QD-OLED. Assuming PHOLED comes out in 2024, WRGB OLED could stay alive until 2025/2026 before getting phased out like Plasma in 2013/2014. QD-OLED will remain top-tier until micro-LED takes over in 2027/2028 and QD-OLED will become upper-mid tier just like WRGB OLED today.
just a matter of budget, w-oled can be had for half the price of qd oled at the same screen size. not everyone wants to spend that much dough lol. u almost always pay a premium for the best in tech though.
Hey B, thanks for the video. Can S95B be wall mounted. I only saw two screw inputs on the back. If so does it require a special Mount? Thanks in advance for your response.
Thanks Brandon for your comparison of the S95B with your A90J. I think it's so great how Samsung so quickly created a lot of excitement in the TV world just by putting out their new QD-OLED, so that people can be awed just by experiencing the S95B's unique combination of OLED's absolute black capability, along with color rendition & brightness that no OLED we've seen in the past has been able to display. Honestly, I'm envious by not being able to be a part of all of this QD-OLED excitement! Because at the beginning of last year I spent $4,000 on the 77 inch Sony A9G OLED, that's a perfect match for our dark theater room in the basement. And this August, we will strain our budget in order to get an 85" Samsung QN90B or QN95B, that's the smallest size that we'd want for our 20 and a half foot long living room. So with all of the funds that a couple on Social Security will have spent on 2 TVs, in 2021 & 2022, I must agree with my Mrs that another TV purchase within the next 5 years, would not be reasonable. But man, if only an 83-85" QD-OLED could be available in 2022, because then I'd scrap plans to get an 85" QLED, and get a large QD-OLED, instead, even if that required taking a couple credit cards to the top of their limits! Anyhow, I sure hope today's QD-OLED buyers like their TVs as much as possible, & spread the word!!!
I have a samsung q90r 65inch, it's in a room where sunlight comes through and shines on the TV. The TV does an extremely good job on fading out the light. My question is, can the new qd-oled do the same or will I be able 2 see a lot of light reflection?
Hey B, how different are your two A90J's? If you had them side by side, is one brighter than the other. I assumed the larger 83" had the potential to be brighter since the LED's could be larger and the heat sync obviously could cool the panel better but what are your thoughts on the difference? I own the 83" and absolutely love it. I also bought the 85" X95J not long after since I loved my A90J so much but didn't want to over use it or game on it and I'm actually blown away at how for half the price the X95J is such a great everyday television. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it has VRR, I've seen a vid of someone playing their PS5 on it with VRR. If you have an Nvidia GPU it should support VRR. You're good. Or get a C1 or something. I got one the other day for PC gaming, I have a Radeon 6800 xt gpu, works great.
I was assuming the S95B would be the same way. The Q70R doesn't have HDMI2.1 or Freesync Premium though so maybe the S95B will actually work right with an Nvidia card.
@@deadbc77 - That is helpful to know, thank you. I might grab one of these 95B's after all.
Great video B, this is a great time for tvs. Looking forward to more videos.
People who complain about saturated colours have never heard of the settings menu 🤣
Great review and un boxing , I saw s95b 4 weeks ago at high end tv store I go to , it was better than every tv in the store with few flaws, but to me no flaws in gaming. I can't wait to see the A95k .
Can you review wall mounting the S95B, particularly if using the Samsung low profile mount?
Awesome video!!!
Thank you sir. We enjoyed making this one. I really can't wait for larger sizes.
Love the QDoled but hate the new interface..
Do a comparison between the Sony QD-OLED and the Samsung... that's what matters...
Thank you for another great review!!!
great review with features of s95b nice job if you have to choose between samsung qn800b and s95b wich one would be the best in overall for you do you think black's level of qn800 are close to s95b or seem inky wich is best for you? or maybe you prefer qn900b i'm interested on those tv wich one do you advise to buy right now
your opinion is so importan to me regards bro
Awesome that basketball looks good.

🎉🎉QD OLED🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm going for the qd-oled, glad that's it in 55 inch, bigger would be to big in my living room xD
Do u have any suggestions on what splitter your using for this video please?
With everyone going on with Samsung, would it be best to wait for the price continuing to drop or look at the other options ?
Hi Jen. You win the brightness test, 10,000 nit!
No point reviewing it like that
Your thumbnails are perfect
I feel they are just catching up to the reviews and content.. 😆
Can you use an Audioquest power cord with this or only the 1 that comes with the TV?
Bought the S95b last weekend, now busy calibrating it. But since every movie looks different it makes me crazy tbh...
Please calibrate LG C1 and S95b to their optimal settings for movies and games and please do the side-by-side comparison
Great video 👍🏾🔥
I love this, watching the unboxing of stuff I love to have but cannot afford 🥺
Love the TV, came from the KS8000 60". But can't use with home theater/AVR and most sound bars due to TV keeps defaulting to TV speakers when you turn it back on. eARC cec will not turn on your system. Know problem. Waiting for Samsung to resolve On Jan 10th, keeping fingers crossed, or I have to buy a different brand :(
I love the center stand that will fit and overhang a bit on my small stand. Why can't Sony do this?
The high end Sony qled does have a stand like this.
@@nathanmerritt1581 I hope so. Do you have a picture you can share on the internet?
@@gosman949 I'm afraid not. you just have to search it on your own.
I think Sony just announced their QD-OLED TVS and prices. Can't wait to see your review once they come out.
Is this tv still as good after tge updates?
Would it be possible to add the specs for the LAN and USB ports?
Are the new qd oled susceptible to screen burn in?
Thank you
I like 🥰😍😍 the only thing I don't like is the stand 🤮 it's to small for the tv I'm planning on buying one tho n 4sure I'm hanging it on the wall I'm coming from a LG oled 2018 model I hope it's worth upgrading ❤❤
I agree
just a matter of budget, w-oled can be had for half the price of qd oled at the same screen size. not everyone wants to spend that much dough lol. u almost always pay a premium for the best in tech though.
@@infertagul i thought samsung was developing qned technology as well
@@quaticus qned is lg quantum dot QLED
Hey B, thanks for the video. Can S95B be wall mounted. I only saw two screw inputs on the back. If so does it require a special Mount? Thanks in advance for your response.
Would you get the S95b or g2 at 65 inch
I really like the impact of HDR on lcd make the color pop and brighter but do you think the near color is a big factor to go for OLED
Anyhow, I sure
hope today's QD-OLED buyers like their TVs as much as possible, & spread the word!!!
I won't one but wait until they make 77 inch
Looks nice Samsung always has the best remotes 👍
On camera they look almost identical. When my oled cx craps out I'll buy the s95b
I will go for the qn90b in 85 inch on black friday
Great 👍 video but I really wanted to hear your opinion on the motion. Maybe also give us a bug report after some use.
Did that arrive overboxed? Pallet?
Thanks.
Gonna wait for larger size 👌💪
