One of the things I love about this channel, is that when there are people of different skill levels and the group breaks off, you give us footage from both groups.
Love the different rider video views. Ryan’s camera view things look so smooth. Hunters I feel every bump. 😂. The girls are also pretty smooth. Much props for attempting that huge turning drop.
Just reacently found your channel. Man you do a great job. As a noob to mountain biking, I like how you show your process in looking at features. Entertaining and educational.
Great video!! You should come a little south of Revvy and check out Mt Abriel at Nakusp. Some killer trails here too. A bit of a hidden gem actually. If you want to try some sweet backcountry alpine riding, there’s Solmountain Lodge across the lake.
@@TheLoamRanger Awesome! Looking forward to the Sol video. I live in Nakusp, just moved here this summer. Mt. Abriel has every type of trail, absolute beginner to some serious stuff, so makes a great place to bring the family. Feel free to reach out if you want to connect with some locals to ride with!
Rode revy for the first time earlier this year and all I can say is... I can't wait to go back! So much more riding to explore as I probably didn't ride even 10% of the trails
Great video guys! I was just there in June and thanks to you’re recommendations we were able to ride a lot of the trails told me to check out. Currently editing the footage… Video should be out soon!🤘🏻
Great vid lads n lasses! as ever makin evribody jealous of ur proximity t brilliant n gnarlarse bike parks. uve all balls of steel goin over them precipitous drops. Fair play t ye all!
Funny thing I actually knew Sarah, we grew up in the same town together and I actually knew her since Kindergarten and graduated High School together. So I was quite shocked to see her in this, so you get an automatic like just for that.
Have you ever thought to come to Québec and ride Sentiers du Moulin, E47, Vallé Bras du Nord and Massif de Charlevoix? Would love to see The Loam ranger video of those place. Keep those video coming!! 🤘🤘👍👍
Dude if your ever in Swansea City, Wales, UK. I live 7 minutes MTB ride from Clyne Valley free ride trail's and jumps. I have 4 spare beds in my home to that will save you a lot on hotel fee's, and a secure garage to keep your bikes in at the back of my home. Great video. Thank you..
Hey man. James from the Loam Ranger here!!! I’ve been working on a UK trip for ages. This is very kind of you and we’ll keep you in mind if it ever happens 🤘. Thanks 🙏
@@Jamesyshreds Me at age 49, and my American girlfriend at age 52 (she's a BMX flatlander) have been up the trail's and jumps, with petrol powered hedge cutter's, trimming back the fern's, overgrown hedges etc. Still a bit more to go, the worst is done though. The teenagers are up there building more trail's, and mega massive jumps also. We're also cutting back the fern's hanging over the trails, raking the dead leaves and dead gravel off, using a good old hard brush on them. So there a bit smoother to ride, there's still plenty of knarl and stone's inbeded into the trails though, for technical downhill for intermediate to advanced riders. We're just making it more accessible for beginners and also visiting MTB biker's at all levels of technique. We're also cutting out old trail's and dirt jumps that can be re-salvaged and reconditioned (if possible), from I assume the 1990's, early 2000's. As they started building berms, trail's and jumps I think up clyne valley in 1988 roughly. There's some right old school monster trails and dirt jumps we're trying to reopen, real crazy stuff. We're buying a petrol powered grass strimmer to, so we can make the trails and jumps look more professional and less scruffy looking, more polished, more appealing to the eye. Blessings.
OMG, the music killed this video for me. I'm usually a big fan of your vlogs, but I couldn't get past about a third of it. The sound of bikes on dirt is music enough for my ears. In this video I thought I was stuck in an elevator from hell, lol!
Glad Matt is alright. I kept rewinding and pausing to see what caused it exactly. He mentioned catching a little brake, and loose soil was mentioned, also wondered if he pushed his left hand a little far forward and that sent him off balance as well. His front wheel just violently turned for some reason, must have caught an edge in the loose soil I guess.
That front wheel violently wobbles right, and then he loses balance trying to correct. It's not obvious what happened to cause the initial wobble. Maybe an involuntary push by one arm?
@haldclark yeah, who knows. Might be a combo of loose soil and really hard front braking which then left him with zero traction. Sudden weight shift could have exaggerated that left hand pushing in the video. Doesn't look like any one clear mistake though, for me to watch and learn from.
Looks like he possibly let the front end of the bike get way too far out in front of him on the landing, which unweights the front wheel, and then it caught in that loose soil and little dimple/divot in the ground, jerking his wheel. It's happened to all of us and it sucks. Glad nobody was seriously injured though. Revelstoke looks like one of the best places to ride in NA! Can't wait to get out there someday! All of you are so lucky! Best
No lie. I took a sweet fall after my front tire burped and washed out on landing a jump I’ve done a ton of times. You just never know in mountain biking.
Seems like lately there has been a lot of press on canadian mountain biking. Looks cool, but I really don't want to travel to a socialist country to ride. Hopefully the citizens will take back their country at some point. Until then. No.
That's okay you can stay where you are. And Canada has pretty much always been a socialist country and hasn't lost their country. Let me guess "muh freedums?"

Awesome video! I was wondering, what brakes/ levers are you riding in this video Ryan?
Thanks! Those are the TRP DH-R EVO's with Freedom Coast levers.
SICK VIDEO!

What brake levers do you have Ryan? On the trp evos
They’re from a company called Freedom Coast. Love em!
So was this recorded on the Insta360 Go 3 camera?
One part of it ya, but most was filmed with the X3
