    This is a very healthy way to address, load, swing and finish, taking stress off the back, hips and front leg in the follow through. I've always played this way with irons and am now incorporating it more and more with my drive.

    Had to go back and watch this. It's pure joy to watch him swing a golf club.

      Always has been but now there are a number of tour players with similar flowing swings like his. Homa, Conners, English, & Kirk. Knapp has a great swing as well. Very fast, around 127 but his arms look really slow into impact & flies in a long way. I'd give a lot for any of these swings. Obviously there are other longer hitters but not with the same fluid motion that's so pleasurable to watch.

    To re-learn my swing,,,
    This would be my blueprint.

    i have a tendency to open my stance as i use the 7,8,9 onwards, it gives me greater accuracy, and i find it aids me stopping the ball.

      Trevino, Nicklaus, and Couples just to name a few.

    I play with an open stance - it's a much simpler way of playing the game (provided it's done correctly)

    Yes kids that’s how it’s done!

    I play slightly open or square i tried it like trevino... didn't work for me more like couples is the best with my irons with my driver closer to square.

    Does anyone else think Freddy re-routs the club whilst transitioning?

    • @28russ
      @28russ 3 года назад

      He must do as he's backswing is very steep and doesn't look on plane . He get's it way up there over his shoulder but then drops it into the slot on the downswing.

      I agree I think that's what makes his swing all come together. Must require very good coordination to be able to consistently do that

      Can one open stance and not reroute?

      @@theopenstanceacademy487 I'm not sure what Facebook meme you're getting your news from, but RUclips does not want ownership of all video. From their TOS:
      "You retain ownership rights in your Content."
      They only want the ability to use videos on RUclips to promote RUclips. Which is perfectly reasonable.

    Try telling a beginner about using an open stance and you'll get backlash.

      I use an open stance, it just feels more natural to me.

      When I first started I fought the open stance even though it was more comfortable and consistent I just thought it was the wrong thing to do until I gave in lol

      I don’t get backlash? It’s probably because I don’t leave knowledge gaps.

  • @mikerodrick2430

    He's open at address because he plays a fade that's easier on the back.

    If u watch his highlights his proximity to the hole is rarely insid 10 ft

      @@BOOGiNS classic ad hominem remark common with less educated folks. Whether the OP has won the Masters is irrelevant to his comment. A better counter would be showing data disapproving the OP’s point.

      10 feet every 2nd shot? U kidding me.

    • @ryanovercash9952
      @ryanovercash9952 3 года назад +3

      Yea…. That’s because nobody’s proximity to the hole is regularly inside 10 ft. The Pga tour average from 100-120 yards is 18 feet. Crawl back in your hole.
