Both shows show this aspect of trying to control something that is impossible to contain once it’s started. Both Eren and shinji give a similar sense of inevitability. Eren with his rumbling and Shinji with the third impact. The only difference is that Eren actively starting the end, fully aware of his actions whereas Shinji is dragged into something he cannot control and the decision had effectively already been made for him.
This is definitely the song to play after youve finally accepted that you cant just run away from all the pain in life, that you cant just run away and cry hoping your mental instabilities go away. Youve accepted yourself and you have nothing to lose. You are finally happy, or at least content with youreself, and as you face the world with a new look on life you let all hell break lose and accept death with open arms. This isnt a sad song, it isnt a happy song either. But all in all its definitely one of my favorite songs.
I think this song has similar effect to Roundabout by YES. Since JOJO has used this heavily for the first 2 seasons. Especially when Zepplin accepted his fate.
Kinda crazy how the vibe is totally different, in AOT it feels like despair and craziness, but with the EoE music, it just feels depressive and hopeless, the perfect contrast between these two masterpieces of anime media.
A big theory people take as canon is that everyone who "died" during the 3rd impact were screaming with pleasure not pain, since it gave them what they wanted most.
@@myman6841 (Many argue) Theorically, anyone can come back from the fanta if they wished from all of their heart or accept their own individuality. In the rumbling, all that's left for you is being crushed to ashes.

To be fair, you've got to be a real dingbat to hold your ships stationary, unless you're doing shore bombardment and you're _totally_ certain of control of the sea. Against a mobile enemy you'd always keep your ships in motion so that you could keep the range open to the optimal distance for plunging fire (e.g. kite the enemy toward the end of your ballistic arc)
Well, you need to understand the context of what's happening here. The titans are not just going after the boats or even the cannons on the beach. They are going after everything. The ships attempting to kite or maneuver would no matter what be tossed by the titans as they are literally making landfall everywhere. In short, moving wouldn't have done them any favors in this case.

At least on the shore the Collosals would be slow and visible to see unlike in the mniddle of the ocean where the are actively swimming under the water and you have to guess where they are.
