My iPad Pro from 2018 just died. I have used that thing every day since the day I got it. The display just stopped working. Gutted
A flip eraser function for the Pencil should be added.

While new iPads are always exciting, especially the prospect of a new Mini, the real attention needs to be given to iPadOS. Across the board, iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS, it all feels as though very little is done with each new version. That's not for this event of course, but when it comes to the iPad it feels the hardware is about 5-10 years in front of the software.
i dont see why no one has cracked it, and made it dual boot, no different mostly than a mac pro laptop.
As someone who’s always on a budget, I’m more interested on how the 10th gen and 5th gen Air will be priced after this event.
I believe the iPad 3 (first one with a retina display) was announced in 2013. ;P
Sensor at top of pencil. Probably there will be a few hidden features, but the one I’m betting on is simply an eraser at the end. Like we see in the animation, user can flip pencil on end and use an alternative tool. Ultrawideband and possibly an upgrade that presents benefits VisionOS users.
Only thing I really need on the iPad to be added is side downloading. I have 2-3 apps that I can only get on the Mac because an iPad version isn’t available just yet. If I can get that for the iPad, I could go all in and not worry about a thing. Everything else is perfect for me
I would like to see a bigger iPad and 16:9 aspect ratio to use it as a companion drawing tool for my Mac.

Very keen to see what the new redesign of the ipad is going to be like . Specifically if they’re going to use new materials on the Magic Keyboard and if the camera placement changes.. i use my ipad a fair bit for calls in landscape mode and that cam placement really is an issue for me .. apart from that I’m finding hard to make a decision if i should get a larger iPad or maintain the 11’’ size form that I’m used to.
Hey Chris. Great show. Do you think the ipad pros would be better if they put a curved back on them like what’s on the MacBook Air? I use an M1 air for my church streaming and thought it would give the device a unique feel. I am no designer but would love to design the next generation of Apple products. I sure hope they get AI in iOS right. It could be groundbreaking.

I got the 2021 M1 iPad Pro on release and its worked like a dream the last 3 years. I don't plan on upgrading to the new stuff but I'm really excited to see what they do

It’s about bloody time. I was afraid they would wait until the WW event in June. I’ve been waiting since February when I first accepted that my beloved Pro 2017 was showing serious signs of age, especially with the battery and response speed.
How long after the 7th will the iPad pro be available after ?
Just a rumor on top of others until the day comes. Tired of waiting. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ instead. And I find that I could do more on it than with my iPads.
Meh not excited about iPads - had an iPad Pro last year but sold it as I never used it - have a MBP M1 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max - that’s all I need

Watershed moment it will probably be for this event, but be prepared to be disappointed with certain upgrades to both the pencil and redesign of iPads, Apple always find ways to let you down!

Well, I have the M2 Pro 11 inch and I love this device. Recently, my M2 MAX MBP 14" has been sitting collecting dust, very unfortunately, but I have a 16" from work and that is all I really need. But if, for whatever reason, they fancy upgrading the new iPad with an M4, but I am excited about the iPad just seeing what the next phase is.
The pencil is really the center peace. I guess one of the next iPhones will have pencil support.
Curious how what they share on 5/7 is augmented by WWDC in June. Like… if they announce a hybrid os, it would be awesome to deep dive into the features at WWDC.
When pencil shows up in animation, just before it changes the finger touches the top of the pencil. Wonder if that means anything?

I really hope the rumours of the iPad Pros being thinner is false. I really don’t like this idea and will make me wait for performance reviews, gaming and video editing tests to see how hot it gets and if it throttles. No one wants it thinner, M3 run a little hot as it is, then being so thin heat could be an issue and same with durability.
I'm pretty sure we got a new iPad in 2013. Now 10 years later was a different story. 😊

A shrinking bezel and a thinner ipad is a downgrade.I want my iPad to be robust as portability is important and easy to hold as it is a tablet not a laptop.
I'm waiting for the new Mini - currently using a 5th Gen.
I've seen a video on another creator's channel suggesting that we just go for the 6th Gen, but I think l'll wait and see what the 7th has to offer.
After saying that, I did go as far as finding out what trade-in value my 5th Gen currently has.

To how it looks I don’t think a that a mini 7 is coming anytime soon. I picked up the 256 renewed version of the mini 6 and a used Apple Pencil and love it.
@@robkennedy5906 Agreed. It’s the form factor that works for me, so all these bigger ones that are about to be released just aren’t of interest. I’m using an iPhone 13 Mini too - purchased earlier this year. I’ll wait for the 7 … unless I change my mind.
