I also think the apple event logo with the apple pencil where all the colors spread up from the tip of the pencil can be a hint for the new rumored feature of Apple Pencil 3 where it can select the exact color of the object you tap it with 👀😮💨
Well there’ll most likely be some good deals on the iPad M2’s there have been some deals already as I really couldn’t wait any longer as my aging 2017 iPad Pro 10.5” was on its last legs and didn’t want it to die completely before I got a replacement. So if they charge an insane amount of money just for the entry level iPad that equals or exceeds what I paid for my almost maxed out M2 iPad Pro 12.9” I’ll be glad I didn’t wait.

As a pilot we really need an ipad mini that won't overheat in 100 degree temps in direct sunlight after 30 minutes without added $150 fan case. Apple has to figure this out for all their Ipads as many producer friends of mine who also use them in filming for the cam or preview monitors constantly battle the heat with them in the summer.
Bro… what? The iPad mini never overheats for me. You really are testing the limits by using it in that type of climate; I rarely use my devices in that climate because I know it will overheat and damage the internals. An iPhone will also overheat in this climate. It’s not unique to the iPad mini; there is no fix for that aside from natural shading. Direct sunlight will always beat down on a device especially in hotter climates! Like us humans, if we don’t get shade or any form of cooling down in 100 degree weather and we push ourselves we will overheat and pass out eventually!
So the long rumored 14 or 16 inch iPad sizes are looking like just rumors. I own every size iPad currently available and was really hoping for a much larger sized offering, a 16” iPad would be great
The problem with the iPads is that, while it's getting some hardware upgrades, on the software level it's limited by Apple and that limits 3rd Party developers who cannot deliver a software utilizing the hardware. Like, look at Adobe Lightroom. On an M1, M2, M3 iPads we are still getting the Mobile version (with lacking features) that can even run on low end phones. While, you can get a Surface Pro with extendable storage, where you can run Lightroom CC although with some performance trade off. Who knows, maybe Apple will introduce something like MacPad.
A 12.9-inch iPad Air would be great, but iPad Pro sales will tank consequently, because what's the point of spending all that money on an iPad Pro that in software terms cannot do anything more than an iPad Air due to the limitations of iPad OS. I will not be surprised if there is no new iPad Mini at this event, as it has always been on a slower refresh cycle than the rest. For me, the iPad Mini is the only iPad that makes any sense. There would be no need for an iPad Pro if Apple produced a Mac OS Tablet / 2 in 1 laptop.
Granted, I’m not about to buy an iPad Pro rn but I wish there was a model I could be excited about like my 2017 10,5” one. I’m interested in the smaller borders and nicer corner radii but hate OLED. I’m conflicted between the power and future proofing the air comes with but then I also do prioritise portability massively ever since I got a 13 mini. I don’t really care much for 120 hz. It’s great to have but not a compulsory feature. These android Mfs make it to seem like a big deal. I’ve had and owned a pixel 7 pro which was great but then when you look at the polish of UI on iOS you barely notice the 60 hz being laggy of any sort.
The 11 inch iPad is about the same size. Imagine extending the display of your 10.5 inch iPad Pro to the corners and that’s basically the 11 inch model. They decreased the size of the 12.9 inch iPad Pro in 2018 but kept the same size as the 10.5 inch for the 11 inch model.
If Apple were to create another 10.5 inch IPad with today’s display technology it would be smaller than the iPad Air and your 10.5 inch iPad, so the 11 inch model is exactly what you’re looking for. Hope this helped !
I find it interesting that you’re referring to the ipads losing their thunder, if the rumours are true, and they are intending to raise the price of the ipads, as well as increasing the cost of the new keyboard, that’s not going to help anything. I guess we’re going to have to see what happens on the 7th, but I wouldn’t hold my breath as to what we’re going to get.
The latest rumors suggest that the new 11" iPad Pro could start at $999 and that they may skip over the M3 to the M4. I am hoping that is the case as I sold my 2018 iPad Pro over 1 mo ago and have been patiently waiting for the new ones to be released.
i have owned several iPads, how could you accidentally bend one... 🤦♀ I would be really exited if they did the iPad bezels smaller and the device a bit thinner , it would look so sleek

I miss that Apple release a really new OS to utilize all the muscles in the M3 - maybe they should check the new Samsung Tab S9 for new ideas such as including the posibility of adding your own MicroSD card, DEX etc. The dilemma is that the iPad potentially could cannibalize the sales of the MacBook.
As long as an iPad is not a touch sensitive Mac that runs OS-X, sales will go down. If the starting price of the 11" one is true (1500), they will not sell many. At least not to me.
My 2017 10.5in pro's battery has been on it's last leg for a couple of months now, and my for sanity I'm going to get a replacement. It's my carry around the house, use all the time device. But I have no idea what I'm going to replace it with. If the prices are really high and the features not that useful to me, I may go with an M1 air and feel foolish for waiting. Or, if they manage to address my entire wishlist, I may get a 13in pro. Or something inbetween. If I had to guess I'd grab a new 11in pro or air, but it's all depending on features and price.
Currently using an iPad Air, and if it dies would go to a laptop because of better battery life and using full applications like on my iMac, not crippled down versions on an iPad.
I’d remain skeptical of the 5mm thin rumor. I don’t see how the Apple Pencil would have enough surface area to adhere to a side that thin. Unless they made a significantly skinnier pencil which would also be problematic as it wouldn’t be very comfortable to hold I’d imagine.
About 3 iPad Pros later of ownership, I don't have a use case for an iPad anymore. The new iPad looks like a shiny toy but I can't imagine actually using it.

The Mac Minis could also use an update although the art for the event make that seem less likely. iPad sales are declining? Let's make them even more expensive. LOL
I love the idea that the new Magic Keyboard could have a battery to extend the time between charging the iPad! I wonder what the overall weight of the new, larger sized iPad Pro will be with Magic Keyboard vs. my 12.9" M1 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard. Lighter would be better! That said I doubt Apple is going to bump up the stock RAM/SSD to make up for a higher priced, new iPad Pro.
It is hilarious how all these Apple reviewers expect all these upgrades from Apple and in the end they launch the same product launched since 2018. 😂😂😂
