It would probably fit without the camera attached. Might be a squeeze with camera attached and also with the lens hood.

7:07 that’s the bottom of the bag not the top 👍🏻. Nice Size I’ve got the 450 version but that extra room could be handy

So what did you do with the lens hood of the 400mm? Leaving it behind makes ya think this bag is too small for your stuff.

The lens hood travelled in my checked luggage. I just assemble the lens with hood when I arrived. The bag is really just a way to keep the lens safe while travelling.
