    The crazy German again…
I’m a Nikon shooter (Hobby) and you shoot Canon. But both are great systems. Anyhow, I like your channel and subscribed.
    Keep it up!
The other Australien photographer I’m watching is Matt Irwin. A professional Nikon shooter.
    UPDATE, July 13th 2024:
Got my „Lowepro Pro Trekker BP 550 AW II“ today 🎉.
I’m so happy with it! It’s not cheap but it’s perfect and high quality.
That’s exactly what I have been looking for! Thanks again for your very detailed demonstration !.
Got it for 265€ (not 250 as mentioned before). But still a bargain!

Just replying to your updated comment. That is awesome it has arrived so quickly and you are happy with it! The bag will last you for years, I am glad my video helped you make up your mind on the bag. I personally watched a few before buying mine but I made this one as there where options that where wrong and parts that where missed.

Great review and it looks like a quality bag, useful design for photographers travelling. It looks well put together and not bulky like many bags 😊

Good detailed review. Thank you. Shame it’s main compartment is front opening rather than rear otherwise it would’ve been perfect for me.

Thank you, It would be nice as well if it did open like that, Maybe look at the flip side 500 series but it isn't built as durable as this bag.
I hope you find a bag that ticks all your boxes, I have around 7 bags now and still I don't have the perfect one yet 😅

Is the insert removable? seems like a great bag and if it's removable it'd make it even more versatile

There's no insert with the bag, where the dividers are that is it and they fix onto the back and sides of the bag, you could remove them all and just buy a insert to suit your needs.

Nice review. Looks like a great bag with some good ideas for space usage. I like the idea of the tripod on the side or at the bag and also being carryon approved. What do you think about the bag opening only from the front side, which means you have to put it down on its carrying straps which could be a problem on beaches or wet or muddy areas. Is this a problem?

It really is a clever use of the space with the bag, since I have used it in the field since making this video it would be nice to be able to close the laptop sleeve because when you're on sand for instance it and scoop it up and gradually build up in that. With the way the bag opens up and you having to put the harness side on the ground it hasn't been a issue for me, the materials used don't attract the dirt like some of the other bags out there. A quick pat down and you're ready to go, with the bag when it is raining I haven't experienced that use yet. You could use the built in rain cover I guess to keep the harness off of the mud.

What brand is your hydration bladder? It looks like it’s fitting perfectly.
I’m looking for a 2 Liter hydration bladder but there are so many different types.
Or just send me the dimensions of it, then I try to figure it out!
    Thanks in advance!

I can't say as it is now all packed up, it wasn't a cheap one from memory. a narrower one I would suggest buying to make it easier to fit in the bag.

@@SimonPhillipsPhoto thanks. I forgot, you’re moving back to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. That’s a big thing and lots to organize.
Regarding the bladder: I will by some at AMA… and figure out which one fits the best!

@StephanKempchen haha that’s all good my friend. There’s so much to do, I’ve just sold my car late last week and most of my stuff is packed away now. What I’d recommend is one that is wide and shorter in length as you can fill this up better as it sits more flat, the narrower longer ones tend to end up like a tube. The pocket it sits In doesn’t come out much once you’ve got your camera gear inside the main compartment. Just thinking about mine it could have been about 15x30cm perhaps.
