people, you can also "medium pop" by holding your backfoot all the way down, and the front foot a little bit down, not necessarily all the way down! With this method you can wind up aswell, so when you try to 180 into a grind you dont have to do the full high pop, just a tiny taller ollie

I knew most of these by simply playing and being experimental.. Took most of my logic from skating in real life though.

I feel like people trash the game because they didn't do there research before buying and not taking the time to be experimental.

Great video bro! I’ve been struggling to explain some of these over text with my friends who play console now I can share this with them! You think you have the hang of the game after 4-8 hours depending on skill and then you see something like this and now all sorts of little touches to add to lines to keep it interesting the whole way through

The pop back in is a very good tip never thought of it and it will help a lot
Every time I’m about to end my session I end up getting that krook just a little bit tighter or that front foot tweaked a little bit more and then it just doesn’t stop. Game is honestly incredible, it’s not perfect but I don’t expect it to be. Skateboarding is so hard to translate into a video game properly but they did one hell of a job.

I might be late but I just got this game on console after falling in love with Session and this video literally explained me ALL THE THINGS I was doing but didn’t know if they were supposed to work that way.
In example: i figured out to do tre flips I just had to diagonally pull left stick and throw the right one to the right and I would get the cleanest tre flip ever with a low enough pop to look realistic. But then I watched the challenges videos and the inputs were different, they were using both sticks and rotating them to the side so I started thinking I was doing something different.

You can lift his legs while the boards flipping for extra rotation.
If you flick diagonal down for a kickflip, it flips off axis so back foot catches look more subtle and tweaked.
Also you can low pop double kickflips by holding the front foot stick in heel.flip position then as you pop flick a kickflip and it'll double flip. 💚

You can also use the sticks for board/lip slides when you have to go around a corner. Easy Day Highschool map has that long kinked rail that also curves in the corner, I believe Nyjah has it in a video part, anyway I sessioned it for a good two hours lol trying to figure out movement and steez. If you use the triggers to move around it works well but looks fake. Instead use the sticks (up and down) to navigate through curved slides and your character will dip the board up or down to balance through the turn and it looks official! Don’t know if I’m making sense but hopefully y’all get it🤙🏼

In downtown la there’s a rail with poles next to it and I did an overcrook on the rail and I dodged the pole by moving my board slightly out the way. It looked soooooooo siick
I do this tip all the time on curved objects it helps staying on the edge. I have moved on to wallride powerslide reverts. Bluntslides being held off objects into blunt powerslides. The dudes and dudettes that understand shredding are really getting into this game lately.

also, you can use the revert motion in the air to shifty, which can help you get all the way around when you are doing 360s and stuff

Worst part of console is the fps drops. Literally down to 10-15 fps constantly 😢 the game is meant to be played on pc. Hopefully they fix it for you guys on console

@init doe I own both pc and ps4 pro. The difference in gameplay and performance is so drastic. I own it for both. And i promise its a million times better on pc
It’ll run fine on the next gen consoles releasing in 3 months.
There’s so much that the game just doesn’t teach you, but I love this game and I guess it’s almost more fun to learn on your own over time

There is also a medium pop, hold both triggers down, right before the ollie etc.. release the front foot, but the skater will still be holding himself down as if he was gonna high pop, if u pop at that exact time, it will perform a medium pop.

I just started playing last night. It's a tricky learning curve so far, mainly just wrapping my head around steering with the trigger buttons, but god damn the board just feels right at your feet. I'm very excited to get the hang of it, just in time for the new update!

pre rotation also works with low pop, just do high pop then pre rotate and remove the front foot stick for extra pop. You'll still rotate way better but with low pop

If you set up for a high pop, wind up, and let go of the front foot stick, you can get a faster rotation with a low pop.

This was such a helpful video i brought this game like 2 days ago and have not put it down. A few things tho it should be multiplayer as in online you can skate with frindes play skate best trick and line also free skate with frindes. And way more maps or a way to inport more maps as well a way where you can trim all your skate clips together and make your own short skate video and upload it to your frindes. I think if they incorporate some of these ideas this game would amazing

You should go over one footers. Catching board with one foot and extending the opposite leg. Also... is it possible to pump in this game?...through transitions. The skater can crouch and stand, but doesnt feel like it gives a pump

Man I can’t wait until this game takes off because it’s honestly incredible. So underrated for skate enthusiasts and gamers. I live in a relatively skater un-friendly area in England and this game makes me F E E L like I’m skating, so awesome. Just imagine multiplayer, skating around with friends and more maps, perfecto.

emilio olivas yes! They teach you a lot of tricks you might have have a hard time sticking. Such as me not knowing how to varial flip on command. Now I can do them switch, fakie, and nollie, no problem at all.
