i started playing skater xl about 8 months ago, was used to ea skate controls. so it was super hard to get used to.. i found ur channel, i watched that older advance trick tip vid. A lot of time & practice later, now i can finally say i can do all these advanced tricks in Skater XL !!! thanks Milky!
My only thing I still struggle with in this game is manual reverting. I can do nose manny reverts but normal ones are just so touchy. Good vid Milkman.

like in between two rails? i cant get the hang of getting my grinds accurately landed. i can get the spin where i want it but cant land what i want on the rails and i cant land smith grinds

Sometimes to really get good pretzels out of slides and stuff I’ll just use the sticks to turn into it and when I let go of the sticks it’ll pop out with lots of pre wind - kinda like your torque method but without holding down in the slide
Main complaint about the game controls is having it setup like nollie tricks whenever you are skating switch. I honestly believe it would be more realistic and much easier to grasp if when if every time you 180 the controls swap in the same way as if you're selecting regular or goofy stance in the pregame menu. In other words flip flopped to when you do a switch flip you're actually pushing the stick the direction it flips and pushing down on the left stick rather than up for the pop if you're a regular foot skater
I got pc not too long ago and I am trying to get mods on skater xl. I have xxl mod 3 and graphics mod installed but even on vanilla whenever I land a trick my player stops in a weird way and sometimes gets shot miles away do you know how I can fix this?
I always hated how inward heels to tail looked weird but this looks so much better shout out Jacob Walder doing a switch inward heel to front tail on UCLA rail

How the hell do I wall ride correctly? also I'm only halfway through this but I hope you mention learning how to pop out early by pressing in the left or right stick depending on which way you want to pop out early you can also twist shoulders like you mentioned out of it....
Hey Milky, been watching for a while, really enjoy your stuff. One thing you missed, on vanilla xl (I'm on ps5) it is possible to do, body varials/sex change, disco flips etc. You use the wind up in the ollie, then pop shove/varial flip. Think it needs to be the opposite way to what you're spinning. Only seems to fully work with the wind up.
The thing I don't like is that the accelerator is on A button, meaning I can't use both sticks and accelerate at the same time, making it hard to pull off some tricks (grinds especially). Imo it should be on the right bumper/trigger.
yo Milky I have a hard time torquing without throwing a flip trick. even with a delay after ollie it'll kind of late varial flip for some reason. I'm on PC and late flips are off and I have auto catch on but this has been something that has made it difficult to build style

You can late flip on vanilla as well...technically😂. After you pop, flick your sticks outward and you can do a late hard flip. Sadly just a hard flip, but still unique.
