@@fusion2480 I mean surely it has nothing to do with how Canada and the US share a border that runs from one coast to the other. And it just can't be related to the fact that the US is Canada's biggest trading partner. Those things couldn't make American politics relevant in Canada, right?

The kid simply had a different OPINION on how well theory does that currently.. That is a disagreement which in turn makes it a different opinion.

@@mr.bohner6819 I do agree that he might have botched his presentation. However, the other issue that makes this beyond a difference of opinion is that fact that he clearly had an agenda. Theory and josh were right. He came into this stream and in a matter of minutes delivered a clearly thought out and planned swing at theory and his channel. Theory was right to feel and react the way he did. He said it perfectly, he was doing this stream to give smaller channels recognition, and this kid comes in with a well planned swing at theory and his channel. That’s like a slap in the face. He’s being given a chance to gain recognition to his channel and in minutes he’s attacking the host about how he runs his channel. That’s huge disrespect. Like theory said they weren’t even on that topic. He just came out of left field with it. What did he expect was gonna happen coming in criticizing the host. No one is going to take that well if they are in theory’s position. That’s my take. I really don't understand why some people think there needs to be this hive mind when it comes to TLJ of thinking it's this amazing great film. Personally I think it's a decent film, but i don't get why people keep taking it so personally when it comes to theory not liking it. extra annoying when people make it political. good on you for defending yourself dude
He was making the argument that theory being as big as he is, is somewhat the idol of the Star Wars community, so when he says things like “The Last Jedi is back” it could possibly lead people to attribute that to the opinions of other in the Star Wars community. It’s an extremely dumb argument to make in the first place, but his solution was that theory not make what he sees as objective statements such as “The Last Jedi is Bad”. Which isn’t Objective to begin with, words such as Good and Bad are purely dependent on ones opinions rather than the communities opinion. His problem is “You don’t speak for us; but it could possibly be seen that you do” with isn’t a fair point to make given his solution was that Theory not saying “(X) is bad” even though it’s the equivalent of “I think (x) is bad”. When he mentioned the reference that involved politics. He wasn’t forcing a political opinion nor making one. He was using the example that Presidents have to use specific wording that makes it clear that their statements aren’t indicative of everyone nor every person when producing public statements. I don’t know why he brought it up considering Theory is a RUclipsr who post things to a RUclips channel in which is his. He seems to think theory is more of a representation of the Star Wars community then he actually is. That’s the problem he’s addressing, his problem isn’t about Theories opinions on the Film. The claim that he should be held to a higher standard because of how big his channel is, is absolutely absurd.

I just watched it cause i saw the stream for him clearing things up. I agree with you theory is an amazing guy and one of the best content creators. Im glad he isnt afraid to stand up for himself. Mad respect for him and what he does

Some parts more then others but in the end it is just star wars I think that labeling people in there own star wars trilogy group is what makes people feel the star wars fandom can be toxic towards itself. Yeah, honestly, any other situation the technical issues would have been enough to say get off stream - but everyone was so loving your vibe so much they didn't care, it was a cool moment!
Theory took it too personal and answered violently. He clearly had a lot of frustrations about what Levi said, though he was also wrong in coming to say things like that.

@@lRockyI The guy definitely made a very stupid argument, but theory is in no way shape or form innocent. The guy originally just said it as a side note to something that he was talking about and then theory got angry and started the argument. If he really wanted criticism to be done in private he should've said that he could talk in private after the show. The problem is theory isn't open to criticism, any criticism he gets feels like a personal attack. The guy was trying to be calm the entire time, but theory couldn't get over himself enough to move on and calm down.

SWTheory has been one of the guys who’s given his opinion on the sequels, but has stated in those videos that it is just his opinion, and that he wants us to reunite as a fan base. We all came together for the Mandalorian and the Clone Wars! I feel like Theory has given many of us a voice. A voice to reach out to Filoni, Lucas, and Kennedy. He’s our voice, but not our leader. Very strong content my dude. Keep up the great work!
Yeah he says that. But he still spends a good amount of his time going out of his way to bash the sequels which discourages his followers that like the sequels to continue watching his channel. He can hate the sequels all he wants but just let it go already and stop making it an issue.
Love you Theory - entirely understand why you reacted to Levi as you did. I think his argument is a poor one and as you suggested, basically asks you to censor yourself simply because you have a large subscriber number, which is ridiculous. That said, I do feel once you retorted and Levi was fully across that this wasn't an argument stream like the previous one, that he was incredibly apologetic. I do believe those apologies were genuine. The kid fucked up, but he tried to own it and I honestly ended up beginning to feel sorry for him. I disagree with his point and argument, but I'd really love you to give him another chance at some point, I was sad to see it ended in him being kicked off stream, though I absolutely understand how exhausting it must be to be held to this weird standard when you're just a guy who wants to be able to freely give his opinion on Star Wars.
I don't know anything about this since I haven't watched any of the video yet but it's nice to see a comment with empathy towards both people Edit after watching: wow that was awkward. I agree with you though, I see both sides. The kid kept digging his hole but Theory overreacted a bit. I don't think Theory said anything wrong but he took offense and escalated the situation. I think there was probably a nice way to let the kid know "hey this isn't your stream so let's pump the breaks."
@@bohartman Agree, although I think Theory acted the way he did, because he probably hears things like this so much that it kind of just builds up and then to hear someone tell it to him in his face, most likely caused him to take it out on this guy. Yeah the kid was pretty in the wrong for jumping straight into that stuff, at the same time Theory also asked him to explain himself then proceeded to blow up at him and take it way overboard. Theory is really starting to strike me as someone who can't take anything but positive feedback.. Seems anything negative is an "attack" to him.. No one should ever doubt why Sawyer is a valuable member of this community; love to see how she stood up for Theory in a super tense moment. As a sequel fan one would think she’s gonna side with another sequel lover but she rightly values people as individuals rather than labels and defends her friends. A bummer of a moment but increased my respect for her 10x

I'm wondering if Levi got theory confused for Kathleen Kennedy. Theory didn't sign up to be the face of starwars. He gives his opinion and his followers based on what he says and does. He is not a government official and doesn't have to live by anyone's standards other than his own.

Star Wars Theory was a little too belligerent and vehement in his countervailing segments. He was warranted in reacting, but I do think Levi was attempting to assert that being disingenuous about the films, in general, is not valid. In regards to it, he did genuinely apologise, and he conveyed this multiple times. Even after reiterating this, Theory rejected it - he obviously was not having any of it. That is justified.

I started watching the stream when this whole argument/debate started. It was so awkward and uncomfortable especially when Levi started to grovel and apologize. That Levi guy killed the whole vibe/mood of the stream & I felt embarrassed for that guy.
Felt sad for the guy because he was stating his opinion and was misunderstood and when he apologized he was met with nah your not sincere,then tried explaining with what he meant but was shut up.Remembered how they called out theory about the Padawan thing but he was misunderstood then tried to explain himself but put words in his mouth that he didn’t say which at the end was what happened here.

It’s irritating when sequels and spinoffs bombard us with cameos from the original work. It feels lazy to have a writer go “remember Luke Skywalker, remember R2D2, remember X-wings?” I haven’t seen Mandalorian, but I hope that the Luke reveal is actually built up to rather than thrown in at the last minute. Cameos don’t equal good storytelling.

22:40 - In the Rebels episode with Rex, Kanon says that some clones blamed the chips and begged for forgiveness... I'd like to see what happened to Wolffe in Bad Batch. Did his chip malfunction like Gregor's, or did Rex remove it from him? For the record, I'm a huge fan of this channel... it's my go to source for lore and news, which is more accurate than other star wars channels. It may not have been his intention, but Levi kept bringing it back to "it's your fault... you're so famous..."

It would be pretty interesting (and dark) if the reason there's a female clone (Omega) is the Kaminoans were seeking a way to preserve Jango Fett's DNA by going down a more traditional route to acquire fresh samples by raising Omega as an 'Eve' that would give birth to a new line of clone troopers. Her children, (or at least her embryos), would therefore by used to find a way to stabilize the Fett DNA and insure the project's survival for many years to come.

The reason why incest kids have genetic deficiencies is because sibling have similar genetics so the recessive diseases within their genes are doubled in the child leading to them having problems. Therefore if two Jangos had a kid they’d 100% have any recessive disease that Jango had in his genes. Did you skip 7th grade?

As much as this was entertaining watching the drama, I do miss these podcasts just being Josh, Marc and Theory, was like hanging with the bros every week. Glad Theory and Marc are still doing their own thing with the interviews
I believe that’s still the idea, but now when there is no SW news instead of just cutting the stream short they can bring on people so I think it’s a win, but once bad batch starts I’d like it to go back to just theory and Josh and also Marc when he’s free, big fan of Marc.

I don’t know why he brought it up considering Theory is a RUclipsr who post things to a RUclips channel in which is his. He seems to think theory is more of a representation of the Star Wars community then he actually is. That’s the problem he’s addressing, his problem isn’t about Theories opinions on the Film. The claim that he should be held to a higher standard because of how big his channel is, is absolutely absurd.

Love you Theory - entirely understand why you reacted to Levi as you did. I think his argument is a poor one and as you suggested, basically asks you to censor yourself simply because you have a large subscriber number, which is ridiculous. That said, I do feel once you retorted and Levi was fully across that this wasn't an argument stream like the previous one, that he was incredibly apologetic. I do believe those apologies were genuine. The kid fucked up, but he tried to own it and I honestly ended up beginning to feel sorry for him. I disagree with his point and argument, but I'd really love you to give him another chance at some point, I was sad to see it ended in him being kicked off stream, though I absolutely understand how exhausting it must be to be held to this weird standard when you're just a guy who wants to be able to freely give his opinion on Star Wars.

Star Wars Theory was a little too belligerent and vehement in his countervailing segments. He was warranted in reacting, but I do think Levi was attempting to assert that being disingenuous about the films, in general, is not valid. In regards to it, he did genuinely apologise, and he conveyed this multiple times. Even after reiterating this, Theory rejected it - he obviously was not having any of it. That is justified.

It’s irritating when sequels and spinoffs bombard us with cameos from the original work. It feels lazy to have a writer go “remember Luke Skywalker, remember R2D2, remember X-wings?” I haven’t seen Mandalorian, but I hope that the Luke reveal is actually built up to rather than thrown in at the last minute. Cameos don’t equal good storytelling.

As much as this was entertaining watching the drama, I do miss these podcasts just being Josh, Marc and Theory, was like hanging with the bros every week. Glad Theory and Marc are still doing their own thing with the interviews
I thought the same first week of this however I feel it’s already getting better and will develop into something even greater
as someone who really liked the last jedi, levi is DEFINITELY in the wrong for this. he clearly doesn’t understand that having an opinion is fine.

I believe that’s still the idea, but now when there is no SW news instead of just cutting the stream short they can bring on people so I think it’s a win, but once bad batch starts I’d like it to go back to just theory and Josh and also Marc when he’s free, big fan of Marc.

@@tristanlambert658 I felt Theory got way too triggered tbh lol He clearly lost his cool but I'm sure it was a case of the straw that broke the camel's back, Theory was just venting at that point and didn't even wanna believe literally anything the kid had to say. Honestly felt bad for the young man, clearly he didnt have ill intentions, it just came off the wrong way.

Levi launches direct attack on Theory. Bad move especially on Theory's channel where we are suppose to be talking about future Stars Wars content. That's the main reason I love Theory's channel I get to listen to a real life opinion from a fellow Star Wars fan.
