@@emartin86 Yes I agree, but the thing is these are new shows, I love 'em, but CW's been with me since my childhood, that nostalgia of something being so great is what made me feel pumped
Anakin was so happy to see ahsoka in this episode. Hard to imagine in just a few short hours he's going to be so depressed & his life spirals out of control. Also I wish ahsoka had more emotion towards him. Anakin was the only one who was excited getting the crew back together
Right! I kinda felt like Ahsoka was a little unappreciative of Anakins gifts... like the whole platoon of clones and lightsabers. All she had to say was “good luck”. I wanted them to hug or something one last time or talk a bit more
I understand why the reunion felt the way it did though. It was intended to be awkward....they haven’t seen each other in a long time, they are each fighting their own wars and Ahsoka has started to think for herself. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t appreciate Anakin, but more so that she associates Anakin with the Jedi Order at this point, which she doesn’t wish to return to at this point.
It really did. I new from the first second that this shit was gonna hit different. It just makes me sad that this for sure will be the last time we get this kind of quality Star Wars.

Literally Tear Jerker the whole time. This felt more like Star Wars than anything before. The scene with Ashoka breaking her fall with her Lightsabers on Mandalore was awesome
It’s is hard to see them betray the Jedi. I just watched attack of the clones and revenge of the sith earlier today in preparation I balled my eyes out so hard
I love how ahsoka is one of the wisest characters. if you remember revenge of the sith, anakin at the end believes the Jedi are evil and he isn’t wrong to know they are corrupt but the Jedi are not quite evil. then there’s obi wan who can represent the order as a whole(since he is the most Jedi, if that makes sense) and represents their arrogance as he believes they have no flaws and could never be evil. Neither anakin nor obi wan were quite right, but ahsoka is a mixture between them, she knows the Jedi are corrupt and arrogant but also that they are good and can help people. It shows how wise she is after searching for answers
@Sebastian Veras Order 66 happened right after they got the news that they'd be leaving Bracca. That would coincide with Anakin and the 501st preparing to march the Jedi temple and Ahsoka would possibly be fighting Maul, depending on how the Siege continues. Currently it'd be more likely that Cal is maybe training one of his force powers.
@@tobito9730 Ahsoka and the clones successfully capture Maul, and Order 66 occurs just after that. Ahsoka and Rex have to run to fight off the order, while a group of clones is tasked with taking out Maul. Maul frees himself from capture and kills all the nearby clones and escapes the area. At least, I think that's what happens. I might be wrong.
@@mohamedleeban891 Oh yeah for sure. Revenge of the Sith is my favorite Star Wars movie. But I just can't help to imagine Matt Lanter turning to the dark side, the opera house scene, likable clone troopers committing Order 66, etc.
Same with the shot of Cody looking up at the missile on the bridge, idk but Cody in the beginning looks like he is bending the rules between live action and the clone wars style
Wait hang on, has nobody noticed that the theme used at the beginning of the episode is not the usual Clone Wars theme? They used the actual movie starting theme...god I love this episode. Also the silence in the end credits gave me the chills. It’s so ominous!
Joe Kill, it just surprised me I hadn’t seen it mentioned. I may have been a little bit too hyped after the episode and gone for the extreme assumption
I thought I was the only one lol! I miss this clone wars music and it was weird to have no quote either.. and yes the ending dead silence was very eerie and unsettling.
I also think the moment Anakin heard that Obi-Wan's love Satine died and he responded with something along the lines of "I cannot let my emotions get to me, I am a Jedi", that further pushed Anakin's decisions to join the Dark side later. Anakin admires Obi Wan but, if his Jedi Master couldn't even save the women he loved then that likely solidified his belief that he could not save Padme in the Light. Plus believe hearing Ahsoka Tano explain how people have lost faith in the Jedi Order was another opinion that influenced his decision to go Dark. Ahsoka is like a sister to him and if she didn't trust the Order, Anakin would likely follow. The people who surrounded Anakin are basically his family, their slight jabs at the Jedi Order influenced his decision to tragically fall to the Dark side, because he feels that the Jedi Order/ ideals have failed them already.
Gloria Briones I believe Anakin always wanted to leave the Order, like in the ep when Ahsoka left the Order Anakin made it clear he had thought about leaving before as well, but I think Padme and the Republic were what made him want to stay. However, I think Anakin’s decision to actually serve the Dark came rather from Mace Windu. Mace constantly doubted Anakin as a padawan and all the way through the Clone Wars. Then he personally declined Anakin the rank of Master when he was appointed to the council, which would have allowed him to access Sith holocrons and the forbidden sections of the Jedi Temple to learn the power to save Padme without having to turn to the Dark. Mace also goes against the beliefs of the order when he tries to kill Palpatine after Palpatine had been defeated in combat and disarmed. I think Mace played a much more significant role in Anakins turning, though Obi-wan’s failure to save Satine in the Light could have surely been another factor for Anakin turning to the Dark.
This episode felt more like Star Wars than the sequel trilogy. Imagine if Filoni or Favreau was at the helm of the sequels. It would’ve been truly amazing!
Filoni seems like more of a TV guy, he's great at telling stories across episodes and keeping you invested. Favreau would be a great pick for the movies though, I think.

@@freerealestate6531 If we are going based of Rank, then Yes, Rex would be the one who gets the order on mandalore. As for Appo, No. He wouldnt get the call because Anakin, the general and first in command of the 501st, personally led the charge. No need to have Palpatine inform him

I love and hate how we all know how hurt ahsoka will be soon but we still see her smile and be cocky in this episode I can't handle her soon to come breakdown
I’m pretty sure at least two of those examples you cited came directly from George Lucas. Even if they didn’t come from him, they were approved by him.
Two things that stood out to me in the episode were that as soon as Ashoka touches the box with her lightsabers, the alarm sounds, bringing her back into the reality of the implication of using them: war. Also, I like the duality of Maul with his red and black deathwatch soldiers, and Ashoka with her painted helmet 501st legion.

Yes exactly that Skywalker saga was just a huge letdown overall, this is starwars at its finest ! Although yes we know how it all plays out its exciting to see because it is much more developed and we are more emotionally attached to the characters here. When Ashoka was falling the same music beat was going as the ship intro at the beginning of revenge of the sith. Probably occurred the same time. Amazing
I read Darth Maul’s disappointment in seeing Ahsoka rather than Obi-Wan as an important plot point for the rest of the episodes. Obi-Wan in any circumstance would have gone to confront Maul after everything he’s done to him and Obi-Wan has proven this in past episodes. The fact he hasn’t is when Maul will realise that Palpatine’s plan, which Maul has known all along and which we can see in the trailer, has been enacted because rescuing the Chancellor is more important than Maul. It explains the trailer when Maul is talking about the plan.

I feel like it may be best for him to take complete charge on his projects, but not the entire Lucas film company. And yes, I do think that there should be a change in leadership at lucusfilm, people who love star wars for what it is and what it could be. Not to promote waman to another level and horrible story telling. We dont want filoni getting burnt out, and we still need the quality star wars content that the Seige is turning out to be.

"It felt Starwarsy"
That is precisely what the Sequels missed. It's been a long time since I had been this excited watching something Star Wars, this episode brought that feeling back.
There were some fantastic moments in Rebels, Rogue One & The Mandalorian as well. But, this episode was absolutely mind-blowing.
@@emartin86 Yes I agree, but the thing is these are new shows, I love 'em, but CW's been with me since my childhood, that nostalgia of something being so great is what made me feel pumped

@@frtdgf My feelings exactly
Disney Star Wars is just too clean. I mean, no one even gets dismembered in the whole new trilogy. Disappointing.
Anakin was so happy to see ahsoka in this episode. Hard to imagine in just a few short hours he's going to be so depressed & his life spirals out of control. Also I wish ahsoka had more emotion towards him. Anakin was the only one who was excited getting the crew back together
Brandon Harden yeah, but Rex was excited too
Right! I kinda felt like Ahsoka was a little unappreciative of Anakins gifts... like the whole platoon of clones and lightsabers. All she had to say was “good luck”. I wanted them to hug or something one last time or talk a bit more
That' s what I thought as well... like, c' mon! Hug the poor damn boi! Give him a smile, a sweet word to make him feel missed!
mood, wish she was a bit nicer and more heartfelt to anakin and obi wan but I suppose her arc and the circumstances meant she couldn't be
I understand why the reunion felt the way it did though.
Dave filoni should do everything star wars related from now on

Sorry I love the clones SO much
The clones are one of my favorite parts of Star Wars
Wow
Wow
That's why she outlived everyone including Yoda who even admitted in Rebels that he was wrong due to his fear clouding his judgement.
It makes sense, she’s the Gray Jedi. Her lightsabers reflect that in Rebels, they have white blades
Wow
I just realized that Cal is on Bracca rn. He’s probably hi-fiving that clone rn. 🥺😫😥
Only to get shot at moments later
It's about a week before that.

Joe Kill fuck iff
Bro I wasn't even sure if the episode was over and then I was like, damn gotta wait a week for the next one
All according to palpatine's master plan
Gloria Briones Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen
I kind of chuckled at that line, but I definitely didnt think of it that way!!!
Theory messed up in this video. Anakin already knew about Obi Wan and Satine. In fact, Anakin referred to her as Obi Wan's girlfriend.

Daniel Nash, dang I never thought about that but it makes so much sense now
“This is the first time Anakin has even gotten wind of Obi-Wan having feelings for someone”. Anakin speaking to Obi-Wan in season 1 or 2: “you go save your girlfriend”
Edit: over 450 likes.. Thankss👍
Asa Morgan good point
That was season 2
I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembered that. I was about to go hunt for the episode before seeing this. Thanks for the time savor.
What if Satine had a child with Obi-Wan?
Star wars episode 4.5: another new hope.
That's B4 empire strikes back.
Kenneth Ferrer you don‘t know her nephew?
Star Wars Fans: This season has been underwhelming
Dave Filoni: I find your lack of faith of disturbing
Jus have some F A I T H-DUTCH VAN DER LINDE
Hahahahaha
what was underwhelming? This season has been great.
@@Trikeboy2 if you take the Martez arc for example and replace it with Crystal Crisis, Boba vs Bane, Dark Disciple or Son of Dathomier the season could of been much better.
@@LukeAMitchell facts
“Last time I saw anakin he was rushing off to save the chancellor” episode 9 is the beginning of that quote
Is that a quote from rebels?
Maul: "Why are YOU here?"
Ahsoka: "Rude..."
I felt more emotion and excitement in this 29 minute episode then i have watching all three of the sequels. Thank you Dave filoni, you are our only hope.
That episode right there felt like my Starwars again.
If Ashoka is on Mandalore during Order 66, I wonder if we’ll see the clones turn on her. That would be gut wrenching.
I highly suspect that Rex is going to try to kill her. Maybe he will be able to fight off the chip´s command at the last second? That would be awesome and hardbreaking at the same time.
@@chakkra69 He actually has his chip removed along with Wolffe and Gregor. He believed Fives and about the chips and they all got their's removed. If you haven't seen it that's a slight spoiler for rebels.
She's not a jedi though. Plus Rex disobeys order 66.
When 3 seconds of General Grevious standing gets you more hyped than the ending of The Rise of Skywalker
Can you pricks srsly stop taunting the Star Wars community? Honestly, it’s the most toxic community there ever has been at the moment. Literally. Why do you feel the need to sneak in a jab at the last movie over one of the best episodes the clone wars has to offer? Just enjoy the episode, don’t try to be one of those toxic douchebags just for the sake of being a toxic douchebag.

Lord R losers are mad because they’re being exposed
The comments replying to Audanius Vesuvuis exactly proves his point..
We’re just not ready for how much this is going to hurt.
We're in this together brother.
agreed
Yep💔
Yeah... not gonna feel nice
It was really cool seeing Sabine's mom in this episode too.
Abheek Pandya wait where? Ngl I was focused on Gar Saxon the entire time he was on screen
@@franciscocardenas4774 Bo-Katan contacts her on with the hologram thingy during the invasion
Mychael Parsons alright thank you, gonna have to go rewatch that scene
Francisco Cardenas I loved the fact they included Gar Saxon. 1 of the highlights of the episode for me.
This episode made me cry. It was beautiful.
The fight between asoka and maul will come to an abrupt halt.
“Theres been a shift in the force”
...
Order 66. End of clone wars.
bjammin I’ve sensed it too
bjammin that’s how maul will escape
You gotta love maul, he literally orchestrated this entire conflict to get revenge on Obi-Wan
lebron jame maul is the truth obi and maul need each other
Maul is the definition of “too angry and full of spite to die”
@@Hanakin-Sidewalker Don't forget Darth Sion
He didnt. Palpatine did. In an effort to rid anakin of his master. Dont forget palpatine controls maul now.
Deven Murray it’s a mutually beneficial situation. Maul is being used by Palpatine but that’s most likely just keeping his actions in line with his interests. Since their wants align here it’s possible Maul conceived of the plan and Palpatine is allowing it. Backup plan was probably supposed to be Obi killed by Dooku
It’s tragic that the next time Ahsoka and Anakin meet, they Fight as Adversaries.... and the last thing Ahsoka ever hears from her master is the haunting voice now devoted towards killing her.
I am curious to see where Ahsoka’s Journey will lead when we see her in The Mandolorian Season 2, and if she was truly gone by the time of TROS, or in Dyn Djarin’s Ship the Razor crest that we see at the battle of exegol.
Yearlonggiant Djarins ship was at Exagol?
George Phinn yup
George Phinn The Ghost was there too
Must be gone in TROS, since you hear her voice with the other dead Jedi while they speak to Rey
we will also get star wars rebels sequel series right from ive read en heard its focused on asohka en her journey to find ezra with sabin ofc i hope this is true.
This episode was so good. The entire time I was shaking in excitement. I have never felt so hyped for anything. I love the Mandolorians and I love the Clones. This was the greatest episode in all of Star Wars to me. I can only hope that it gets even better. I was so excited when Rex was promoted to Commander, and seeing Rex get referred to as Commander Rex, while a bit weird, was so satisfying.
This episode was so thought provoking and felt like we’re home this is in one episode has that ROTS feeling like something looming over this episode that had a melancholy and somber feel. It was just amazing. Dave filoni just delivers what Star Wars means for so much of us. Here’s to Dave and company
When the return of the Jedi music started to play when Anakin executed his plan to help obi wan gave me crazy chills.
iandaginger 27 DUDE I KNOWWW
iandaginger 27 Same. It also started reminding me of that one part in Family Guy Star Wars 💀
0:45 holy s**t. Grievous looks amazing, badass, terrifying, whatever description you want to use. It sucks we didn't get to see this design in action, but regardless, this episode was absolutely amazing, and I'm so glad we finally get some more Jedi saber action
Hopefully they will show grievous killing shakk ti in the first few minutes of episode 10
I agree
Josiah Fisher that’s what i’ve been thinking! hopefully!
You forgot my favorite part: the face Anakin makes when Ahsoka keeps blowing off his prompts to catch up and be friendly.
It really sets up his character as the “emotional” one, and also gives more context for rots: He just got taken away from his chance to be with his padawan again, and hears her complaints about the Jedi being too political, which really adds to the emotions and thoughts he is having all throughout rots
