Dunno, I categorically love how Yuusha works. It's entirely built on contradictions, exactly how the narrative of the series is. It's upbeat while many themes in the show and the lyrics are not so; it's modern-sounding, while built around oldschool-like ballad in the lyrics. It switches between epic and playful, just like the show does.
Yeah, Yuusha is a great song as well and also fitting for the show. At the end, both of them are suitable openings for the show

One of the main reasons the solo and bridge feel so groovy is that it goes from straight eights to a swing rhythm, another thing is the use of a blues scale
