Hi Guys, i think the big screen with the Kompas is for me the nummer 1 feature. Now i diving with a Suunto Viper novo and that is horrible. Thanks for the great videos

The screen is definitely the main reason why I would buy this product. Also the touchscreen to setup the dive is so so convenient
Love that Garmin is growing the line of computers. I had the MK2i and now the MK3i, and wear it everyday as a smart watch and love the dive computer functionality. I love the screen size of the X50i.
The looks perfect. This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. It has everything that I could want so I’m giving the favorite new feature to the simplest - and purest - design improvement; buttons on horizontal plane. It will be so much more ergonomic - especially with gloves.
Clearly, the screen size and brightness are the features that make me really want this Garmin x50i! What's more, the ability to simply customize the screen looks very interesting! Thank you for the vidéo !
I’m one of the ‘older generation’ divers you spoke of. I also have a Descent Mk3i that I’ve really enjoyed but I sometimes have trouble reading my tank pressure. I’m selling the Mk and picking up this X50i as I’m all about the readability aspect. Can’t wait to try it out.
Looking forward to seeing the large screen with the information I want to see - really like the look of the compass integrated on the screen. I'll keep my eye out for videos of it under water as I want to see what data is visible while on a safety stop.
I would love to see how this beautiful screen performs in the deep. The touchscreen on the surface must make setup a like a dream, and that compass is just mindblowing. Maybe an overkill for a recreational diver, and I don't see all my buddies buying one but the communication with and distance to fellow divers definitely adds a new level of safety.
My favorite feature is the big scree with multiple customizable data fields can add all the data you want in one screen and still the size and fonts are easily readable!
Thx for great video. Huge touch screen makes difference to competition and allows read any data easily. This competition is great so there are better products to choose.
My favorite feature is the big scree with multiple customizable data fields can add all the data you want And the air integration is everything you need at a glance. The touchscreen is also greatactually the whole dive compute.
I think cross compatibility with the MK3 and T2 is a nice benefit. My dive buddy likes larger screens and I like watches, so it will be nice to still be able to see each other’s air using different form factors.
I think the ascent profile can be a game changer for anyone that is stepping into the world of tec diving! As I'm thinking about this step this could be useful to better plan the ascent to the surface.
The screen size would be the first benefit, but the maps would be the next useful item for me. Having that readily available as I am prepping to jump in would help tremendously for the dive's navigation.
What I really like is two features. First one is the touch screen which avoids the frustration of hitting the wrong buttons during the setup for your dive. Second is the larger screen which will make being able to read everything much easier.
I was planning on buying the Garmin mk3i but was concerned, the display might be to small. The x50i would absolutely solve this problem. I’m 18 years old and planning to go to Florida after school do do coral restoration for some months. The Garmin x50i would give me a save feeling doing it!! Regards from Germany, love your videos! Paul
My favorite features are the touchscreen, and the ability to message other divers, and seeing stats from the other divers like distance and depth. I would use the messaging capabilities with my dive buddy if I had this computer.
I think the buddy depth and distance is amazing technology, diving within the UK and in low Viz , having that information to hand can save the dive. Perfect!!
I understand that the Mk3i updates are on the way to include GF99 and more. I’ll believe it when I see it, but it’s great news! I’m getting one for sure with those updates.
@@laminar0886 that would be nice. Another update that would be nice is to give the option to see the pressure in the tank at the same time you see the compass
Most excited for the SCREEN SIZE. I dive a Mk2i and was going to go shearwater Peregrin AI for the screen but didn't want two dive algorithms running and two dive logs. If I had one gripe overall with Garmin Dive products it would be that while the garmin "Dive App" is a decent app, it makes exporting the dive log very clunky. But I do like thier products and I like that when "paired" with a Garmin dive watch, you can honestly have a watch that is functional for other activites and use when not diving.
I have been begging Garmin for a large screen dive computer for years. Purchased a perdix 2 earlier this year bc I was struggling at times with my MK2 on tech dives. The shearwater will be hitting EBay tonight
Love my mk3i. Currently use Suunto Eon Core as my secondary as I like to have a bigger screen as well. The screen on the x50i is definitely the feature I like the most.
The feature I like the most is topographic map as it would be great to plan and map out new dive sites . What I would using the most beside the feature I mentioned would be the dynamic depth chart to track the dive plan.
I currently use a shearwater peregrine computer - I've been waiting a long time for some kind of garmin accessory with a large screen. For me the biggest advantages are: large screen, compass and dynamic depth chart (I would like to see it live). I'm very curious to see what dive planning might look like on the x50i. Ideally it would be on one hand the X50i as the main computer and the shearwater as a backup on the other :)
I'm new to diving, so this might be a bit too much but I definitely love tech and dont want to waste money on a low tech device where I end up with regrets and buy a big tech toy after all. Will watch your other video's as well to decide what to go for. The best of this computer is the size and possibilities you get for the price. Would love to choose for the Mk3i watch if my eyes would allow for the next 10 years but I really doubt that.
I was just looking at large screen dive computers the other day and wondering when Garmin will produce something similar that I can acquire 😂. The X50i is a game changer given Garmin's excellent reputation with their other products like the Mk2i which I have had the privilege of using in the past. As a recreational diver, the larger map and compass are my favourite features that I'll be looking forward to using.
looks really nice, only thing that tempts me is the screen, but having already the mk3 and preferring the form factor of a daily watch, i think that one is not for me for the moment...
Well the calling card is obviously the big screen. I have the Suunto Eon Core, so I'll be interested to compare these side by side. But you trade off all of the sports modes from the Mk3. I'm intrigued by the dive maps, I think they could be useful when you're at a site for the first time. Short version - I need to play with it to see if it's worth that big investment.
I want a garmin almost solely for the dive sites mapping using advanced GPS! My really old aqualung computers used to do it but only if you downloaded your dive at the dive site to your phone and then used your phones signal for the location. I began diving in Japan and really loved having a map in my log app showing every piece of the island I got to explore. I ended up getting a great deal on a barely used Teric and have used it for over 400 dives now and love it! Then I bought the apeks DSx and the gps has never worked, then while in Indonesia last month the computer completely crashed and is now stuck on the demo screen mode and APEKS has the worst customer service in the industry. They have not replied to me in weeks about getting the faulty item that I bought brand new replaced. So here I am hoping that a garmin is the happy and simple answer to my backup computer problem allowing me to log dives and hopefully their customer service is closer to that of shearwater and nothing like apeks
I like the maps and database. Perfect for planning shore dives. Currently I take my phone and leave it in a float attached to my flag, which has been working fine, but this would be a lot nicer!
imho the most convincing feature about this are the planning options. The communications system is not a selling point for me, I think it promotes bad habits (not actively looking after your buddys, too much distance etc.)
No, it's a big dive computer from all angles. We'll make another compartment video later, and include the size compared to some of the other large-screen options out there.
Finally a screen for us older folks, combined with Garmin‘s technology and the price is not too bad either. 🤟🏻
That big screen looks amazing! And it seems very easy to move through the menus
The huge screen is icing on the cake.
The big touchscreen looks amazing!
In love with the diveview maps. Will be able to easily see all the dive sites near me to plan my next adventure
I have the MK3i but will definitely be looking at this. Larger screen, tide data and topo map are all very exciting.
Love the new screen .. an amazing amount of features . Being able to track your deco ceilings and stops live is very cool
Clearly, the screen size and brightness are the features that make me really want this Garmin x50i! What's more, the ability to simply customize the screen looks very interesting! Thank you for the vidéo !
The Bigger screen is a game changer for me, also te back up light!!
Really like its dive log, easy for you to analyze and share your dive history.
I love the big screen and would be really leaning into the dive maps feature!
Looking forward to seeing the large screen with the information I want to see - really like the look of the compass integrated on the screen. I'll keep my eye out for videos of it under water as I want to see what data is visible while on a safety stop.
The Buddy distance with the transmitters is a favorite of mine, nice to see that its getting rolled over to the Mk3i aswell
I really like the size and responsiveness of the screen. But a feature I’d use often is the Tide Times.
Oh, big screen! Most welcomed feature.
My favorite feature is the big scree with multiple customizable data fields can add all the data you want in one screen and still the size and fonts are easily readable!
Love the big screen!
The big screen and colourful screen is great. looks to be very easy to use.
I love the distance to other diver features. I learned on a MK3i and didn’t even know that was available.
Thx for great video. Huge touch screen makes difference to competition and allows read any data easily. This competition is great so there are better products to choose.

As I'm thinking about this step this could be useful to better plan the ascent to the surface.
Looking forward to seeing this computer tested by you guys.
I like the multiple tank monitors on the large screen, but I'm really curious about the mapping!
Love the screen size
The touch screen and ability to reconfigure what is displayed are my favorite parts of the X50i.
I agree!
I like the big bright screen. Most helpful is buddy tracking. I dive with my young son and would like to track his data.
I was planning on buying the Garmin mk3i but was concerned, the display might be to small. The x50i would absolutely solve this problem. I’m 18 years old and planning to go to Florida after school do do coral restoration for some months. The Garmin x50i would give me a save feeling doing it!!

Love the big screen. Much easier to see.
I love the idea that it's an mk3i with a big screen.
Plus it has a gf99 that I don't understand why the mk3i doesn't have. Very cool dive computer.
I love the topographical maps!
Garmin does it again!
Looks like it.
The maps is a cool feature to have just. Depending on what you are doing. Might be more handy as a planning tool than use under water though.
Bigger screen is definitely nice, flexibility with air mixture programming are both awesome features.
I really like the dive maps for pre planning.
I would really like to use the Garmin to send X 50I for the maps topography, especially interested in the login of entry exitpoints.
Looks a amazing computer. I can believe that for sidmount and tech dive it would be amazing.
Agree!
I have been begging Garmin for a large screen dive computer for years. Purchased a perdix 2 earlier this year bc I was struggling at times with my MK2 on tech dives. The shearwater will be hitting EBay tonight
This looks like a good dive computer. I would like to see how the tide data improves my pre-dive planning.
The larger screen like shearwater computers while having all of the features from the MK3I brings it together. Much easier to read while at depth
Favorite part of the X50i is probably diver to diver communication but everyone knows the easy to read screen is what will be used most
Love my mk3i. Currently use Suunto Eon Core as my secondary as I like to have a bigger screen as well. The screen on the x50i is definitely the feature I like the most.

Own a MK3i and the compass is second to none. Looks much better on the X50i and would use all the time
Heh, Garmin proved they are really want to be on the top in dive computers. I really like full size compass and fully customisable right side.
Totally agree! I'm surprised by how much Garmin are putting into the industry.
I'm new to diving, so this might be a bit too much but I definitely love tech and dont want to waste money on a low tech device where I end up with regrets and buy a big tech toy after all. Will watch your other video's as well to decide what to go for.

Looks awesome. I like the flashlight 😛 . Amazing product as usual from Garmin. Definitely overkill for my needs.
Sending little message to other divers is a great innovation, specially if you can’t reach for them for any reason!
It's difficult to choose a feature, however touch screen, large display and maps are the features I would use beyond the normal dive computer.
The amazing screen
I was just looking at large screen dive computers the other day and wondering when Garmin will produce something similar that I can acquire 😂. The X50i is a game changer given Garmin's excellent reputation with their other products like the Mk2i which I have had the privilege of using in the past. looks really nice, only thing that tempts me is the screen, but having already the mk3 and preferring the form factor of a daily watch, i think that one is not for me for the moment...
The big screen is a really good
Honestly Garmin is doing it all right
I currently have the MK2 without AI and have been forever kicking myself so Im looking forward to AI along with the diver to diver messages
The amazing screen size would be the best thing. My only complain would be a low battery duration for a device as thick as this one...
I think maps are the most valuable feature (for the planing at the dive site).
Would have to be the bigger screen. Would use more info on the screen for sure.
The Big screen and the Diver to Diver Messaging...
I want a garmin almost solely for the dive sites mapping using advanced GPS! Mapping on a bigger screen, feature im looking forward too
Please test the battery life. Like you did with the watch style computers 🤩
We will!
I will be using side mount mode
The two sides of data screens. Having all that data would be great. The MK2 screen is tooooo small.
GPS and fc features
Would make my mk2i a backup.
And I can use Garmin's 20mm quick-fit bands. Take. My. Money.
Like everyone else the screen size draws me in. I have the MK2 and my eyes are only getting worse.
Is it just me, or does it seem quite thick?
A bit yes. So, in all ways a really big dive computer. With the pros and cons that carry.
No, it's a big dive computer from all angles. We'll make another compartment video later, and include the size compared to some of the other large-screen options out there.
I would be able to find my wife within 10m if i had this one.
