I found a Shiny Sinistea myself randomly, in that Crown Tundra Den with all the Regional treats, not authentic but I still love 'em!
I traded them over to a friend who is a big fan of the spooky tea.
The whole conundrum with the knockout method only producing a chance to increase chances drove me nuts when i was first hunting in SWSH, its genuinely really neat that even in modern pokemon games theres weird math that takes years to figure out the purpose of !
And it still looks tame compared to the truly bizarre weirdness of the DexNav mechanics!!!

Getting such a rare Pokémon during a work meeting really raised the tension
I feel like as shiny hunters we're all.. a lil insane.. we know they have low odds, especially pokemon with different variants, yet we still seek to obtain one.. the entire time thinking "I cant wait for this to be over" n then when we do get it "its finally over"... but then immediately move onto another shiny or start thinking which to hunt next.. it's a complex yet braindead thing n I love it

I've get the antique one by curry cooking on shield and it came with the 1/16 square sparkle. It was my 15th Shiny curry and 2nd in Glimwood Tangle
Since you're video i've seen last year is really good to explain other way to hunt antique Sinistea i will recommend it when i'll do my french curry guide video (when i will explain that it's easier to get antique sinistea in crown tundra) since no one in french make a complete video on this subject

You can take the item and check if it can evolve. This way you know it much faster if it’s the antique one. You can even check more then one with this method ;)

I have been looking for shiny hisuian voltorb for the past three days, and i have done nothing else.
My time in the game went from about 15 hours to 57 hours, just hunting.
I didnt keep track of my encounters but its getting very annoying

I actually found a quick shiny landorus in dynamax adventures :) it’s my first shiny hunted legendary
I did a wonder trade and got a shiny poltergeist, checked it, it was legit and not hacked. Haven't checked if it's antique yet

The first sinistea I caught was authentic and I didn't know until the cracked pot didn't work
holy shit.. are you telling me that all i have to do to keep my hunts full odds is not interact with brilliant aura pokemon?? ive played through swsh meticulously logging what every trainer fights with so i could keep all my pokemon encounters as low as possible, stressing over the recurring rival battles upping my KO counts.. so much time wasted but if thats the case its a huge weight off my shoulders 😭

With the knockout method mystery figured out, the only mystery left is the Victini encounter data hidden in the DLC. I know it's probably unused content but it's fun to think it's just a very well hidden mystery.

With the introduction of the similar but biologically unrelated Pokémon Poltchageist in the Teal Mask I do wonder if a similar thing will happen again since it too has a antique and phony form as well.
I did get one of these in a max raid without looking for one. It's the most absurdly lucky I have ever been. Looking into it they've never released that Max Raid so I guess I stumbled on a hacked lobby? It wasn't password protected or anything so I thought nothing of it at the time. Oh well.
back before the isle of armour came out, i was hunting sinistea in glimwood tangle. i found a shiny oranguru, phony sinistea and a morgrem. then, i found another shiny sinistea. i saw in the trailer for the dlc that there would be a way to get more apriballs, so i decided to use my dream ball in hopes that i could get more when the isle of armour came out. also, dream ball sinistea works really well. anyways, turns out the sinistea was antique. i somehow got an antique sinistea in a dream ball after only phasing 3 times. sure, i had the shiny charm but still, it was a 1% chance. and luckily i could get dream balls in crown tundra

Little do they know I was Shell-smashing vs opponents many moons ago (12 years worth of moons) with the OG SSmasher, Omaster.
Polteageist is Omastar on Easy Mode. It's a wonderful Pokémon that has _2 immunities_ to switch into- (but many Normal/Fighting types carry Dark moves so watch out for those.) Still, once you Smash away; 400+ Sp Att + moves like Giga Drain for recovery. It's scary!
What do you do for work where you can watch a stream AND stream yourself on three different games at once while in a work meeting?
Getting the shiny versions of 3 segment Dudunsparce and 1 child Maushold are probably going to suck too since you can only tell if they're the right one after they evolve (with a 4% chance of getting that form)
Unless you can just reload the game to reroll it. Not sure if it's determined upon catching or evolving
