a lot of people say that in this game shinies are way too easy to find and i do agree but those are usually people that found a shiny the day this game came out, unlike me where it took me several months before my first shiny
Spent 2 hours doing a Revaroom shiny hunt, I will take that 2 hour hunt over the 3 weeks I spent soft resetting for Raikou in Ultra Sun. I will take it over the MONTHS I spent masuda method breeding for Shiny Froakie in X. I like that the shiny odds respect that Im an adult with other shit to do. Also, those people that say its too easy should exclusively do Full Odds hunts in pre Gen 6 gamez since to them thats the only way a shiny mon is special because of all the time they wasted cos they dont respect their own time and think others shouldnt either. A shiny is special to me cos I bothered to go for it regardless of how long it took me. Love my shiny full odds Vikavolt from my Ultra Sun playthrough back when the game dropped.
I got my first in the first DLC Lemon the Probopas is now permanently on my Team and I love them I feel like you really don't find a lot if you play casually.
I kind of want this to become a new encounter type with increased shiny odds. Like, in certain areas of the game, Pokémon like Diglet, Drilbur, and other burrowing Pokémon are just sometimes sleeping in the walls with no indication that they're there until you throw out your Pokémon to battle. I imagine it would be quite rare, but make for some fun scenarios and shiny hunts.
For the zombie apocalypse my first thought was alakazam for the teleporting, but then noivern because it’s big enough for you to fly on it, it’s got really good hearing to listen for approaching danger and it’s one of my favs regardless lol I get Tropius has bananas but it’s slow, bulky, and big enough it would struggle to fit in most buildings and would attract attention. Good choice for if you’re in one of those classic “safe” compounds though

Also 110% that first Dratini was shiny but that's ok pobodies nerfect, even the best of the best of the best will fail a shiny sometimes especially when there's no special effect to indicate it's shiny like PLA

I can't even blame you for questioning as much as you did (and Dratini.) Yesterday after an Axew outbreak i was training a few shinies and got ambushed by a shiny Flamigo in a middle of a battle. I was confused as to why that Flamigo was so pale and quickly googled it... needless to say i chased that bird back down. Congrats on completing a living dex of the base game!
This is pretty easy not sure if you know this but during outbreaks sinistea and poltchageist only appear in their authentic and artisan form. Just picnic reset or pop a shiny sandwich.
Great job! I've gotten every single shiny, including form changes available in Scarlet/Violet and the DLC except four: Male Hisuian Sneasel, Phione, Gimmighoul, and Gholdengho. I did trade for some, but that was mostly to get rid of some of the 200+ extra shinies. It's taken a lot of time, a lot of begging the game, and a lot of sandwiches. I'm so close to being done with the Gimmighoul event I'm hoping for the best!
