I love the formatting of your videos and how you take walks and record so many of life's really simple, yet beautiful moments. I must say, you’ve inspired me. Shiny hunting is normally something I don’t feel I have the time or patience for- mostly the patience, since with most cases it takes a lot of self-resetting, egg-hatching and just plain good luck to be able to catch shinies. However, this has at least inspired me to start hunting in the ultra wormholes again; I got lucky with a random shiny Audino being the first shiny I’d ever encountered, and for a minute I tried finding more shinies but had no luck. This video got me to start hunting again this evening and I’ve gotten extremely lucky so far. I’ve already caught a shiny Yanmega, Swanna, and an Altaria (going for the red wormhole shinies right now since I love those the most, especially Sigilyph, though I haven’t encountered that one yet and I’ll update this comment when I do). Doing a gauntlet like this takes incredible devotion and perhaps I could try something like this one day, but for now I’m focusing on collecting em’ all. Thank you so much for being so motivational! I hope your channel continues to grow and you continue to make awesome videos such as these! TL;DR:Cool video, helped me start hunting shinies again! I have been playing pokemon for years now and i have only found 3 random shiny pokemon, A shiny starly and geodude in pokemon diamond and a shiny magikarp in pokemon emerald.

Kind of an old video, thx RUclips Recommendations. But wow, there's a guy training a pokemon from 1-100 only off shinys. And then there I am, having spent thousands of hours in pokemon games and never have I ever seen a single shiny one. I srsly thought they're a myth before pokemon go came out and finally i caught my first shiny there.
I love Pokemon. Especially shiny hunting in Pokemon. It's so raw, so new, (yet old)so..... Endless. You could be playing for literally every second since you were born to your death, and you wouldn't get every pattern of Spinda. You wouldn't get every shiny Pokemon ever. But you can hope, and that is magical to me.
Damn this video is so excellently made, even for you this is so amazing, your videos do really have some sort of magic to them, something I really have a hard time describing, something that, in spite of how good your videos have always been, has really impressed me with how much you've managed to improve with portraying in recent videos. This is my favorite gauntlet, not because it's bizarre nature but that we get to see Matt find a new Job and find a new place. It's nice to know that he can have some extra money to spend so he can afford some new equipment so he can give us more quality entertainment

Wait a minute, in literally every other alternate universe (not including UB universes and legendaries), it's only at worst a 1/100 chance of finding any shinies. That doesn't sound fair.
Actually, since the shiny odds are determined the moment you set foot in the dimension, it's more likely that there are alternate universes where shinies are standard and standard is shiny, and you have at least a 1/100 chance of landing in one of these universes...

I have been playing pokemon for years now and i have only found 3 random shiny pokemon, A shiny starly and geodude in pokemon diamond and a shiny magikarp in pokemon emerald.
Turned this on the background while cleaning, and I think your work ethic is contagious, because both my kitchen and my bathroom are now fucking spotless, dude.

Kind of an old video, thx RUclips Recommendations. But wow, there's a guy training a pokemon from 1-100 only off shinys. And then there I am, having spent thousands of hours in pokemon games and never have I ever seen a single shiny one. I srsly thought they're a myth before pokemon go came out and finally i caught my first shiny there.
When I saw the title, I freaked and thought you were going to kill off full odd shinies. It almost killed me inside.
I love Pokemon. Especially shiny hunting in Pokemon. It's so raw, so new, (yet old)so..... Endless. You could be playing for literally every second since you were born to your death, and you wouldn't get every pattern of Spinda. You wouldn't get every shiny Pokemon ever. But you can hope, and that is magical to me.
I've never seen one of your videos before, but I gotta say, I don't know why I feel so happy watching this all.
Damn this video is so excellently made, even for you this is so amazing, your videos do really have some sort of magic to them, something I really have a hard time describing, something that, in spite of how good your videos have always been, has really impressed me with how much you've managed to improve with portraying in recent videos. Really stoked for what you have to offer in the future as far as videos are concerned, it's really amazing how much you manage to focus on the experience just as much as the actual subject of the video, which I suppose is what makes it so great, it's just as much about the journey as the destination, and while I think others can manage to effectively portray that, somehow the way you do it has such an elegance to it, you can really tell how much of a journey this is, you really do a good job making me feel like I'm with you every step of the way, and knowing how much effort goes into it, it's honestly a miracle someone like you can exist, someone who is so purely driven by their passion to create amazing videos, and manages to effectively take advantage of that passion to put out such good stuff.

I completely agree! And the fact that he's also incorporating real life mini vlogs that update us about his life makes it even better. Seeing him getting a new job and moving and everything else while simultaneously staying committed to the level 100 gauntlet is awesome. Honestly it's inspirational the dedication he puts into it.

This is my favorite gauntlet, not because it's bizarre nature but that we get to see Matt find a new Job and find a new place. It's nice to know that he can have some extra money to spend so he can afford some new equipment so he can give us more quality entertainment

I thought you were gonna faint them, and I also was stuck in 1/8000 territory. I almost had a heart attack!
Wait a minute, in literally every other alternate universe (not including UB universes and legendaries), it's only at worst a 1/100 chance of finding any shinies. That doesn't sound fair.
Actually, since the shiny odds are determined the moment you set foot in the dimension, it's more likely that there are alternate universes where shinies are standard and standard is shiny, and you have at least a 1/100 chance of landing in one of these universes...
This took forever but imagine how much longer it would take if you had to do this in Gen 2 or Gen 3?
I'm not sure if I could finish it in my lifetime at that point LOL
