A nice detail is that the ending states "Resources Expended" as opposed to "Expedition Failed." Of course this indicates an end, but what's significant is that prior to the Warden taking over Biocom, Biocom called the mercenaries Resources, whereas the Warden referred to them as prisoners. So in the end, the system reverted to Biocom. One of the last notifications by the system before the end is "Warden Security Systems Disabled," and with the end, indicates even the Warden abandoned the ALT team in the end.
If you listen to dialogue and such this whole rundown is collecting data cubes and putting coordinates into them so you can use the matter wave projector to go to a specific location, where as before using the MWP was just random as we had no way to "tell" the MWP where to go. We were doing this to go to a clean location with no infection, which is what you do in C1 at the terminal, you are searching for a clean location.
So sad to hear in the end that they just accepted their fate. There was no hope for them, and they knew damn well when the "It was nice fighting along your side" line was dropped.
I don't have the skill to complete this level, but man was it fun watching. It really felt like you were fighting through everything you've ever seen. Chargers, shadows, giants, snatchers, loved it.
@@AuronCommander My group of 4 can barely get through C-tier levels. Unfortunately, we don't play often enough to get good, so C-tiers are good enough for us.
me and my friend had a blast on this level. Playing with two bots increased the challenge a bit, but it was pretty doable. It was really exciting and fun to play through.
It's pretty sad to see that our bois dies in this reality/timeline. I'm pretty sure Schaefer got merced as well judging by the last few hear-say not being his actual voice. RIP Valiant warriors. 😢
I am curious as to what secondary objective actually does, only ever did the run with secondary. Also can't wait to see yall do the second half of the rundown.
The level plays out more or less the same. Doing secondary adds the little chargers, shadows, hybrids, chickens, flyers, and two more dogs. Main is just little guys, regular giants, charger giants, and 1 dog.
Would you mind making a story/lore recap video after the rundown is over? I think it would be beneficial for many people that got lost somewhere in the middle of the events.
I wonder why you also aren't listed as GTFO community considering your full playthrough's and guides. I've watched all yours, but never recommended or even heard of any of those players besides Amanes and D4RKEVA ofc since you play with them.
@@ProfessorScaler Oh? Really? Well uh... Uhm, my apologies it was a uh, misinput! (Jokes aside, I still do find this ending disappointing and lazy on the devs side - if the alt group's ending would have been to just die, I could have purposely wiped in any alt mission and called it a day... Presuming the true ending you're talking about is also the alt group's ending?)
dauda casually dropping the hardest line in the entire game "we must bleed together... one last time"

This ending sequence was really cool. Level was easy for an e-tier, but good thing thats only half way.
This rundown is so out of the ordinary compared to every other one, such a cool conclusion to GTFO

how many people are you playing with? and what part is giving you the most trouble?

You won this quest when you do the last full team purple scan

And now the rundown begins xd
Surely that can’t be it right? There must be some kind of secret other ending
There are six secret levels that are revealed as you complete the previous one, with E1 unlocking A2.

One more rundown, R8E2. If you read the logs from the previous rundowns, you'll know this is not the end because [SPOILER].
Dang, I can't believe everyone died and they can't go on missions anymore.
I guess you'll need a new perspective on things. :)
Spoiler....there are two teams. Meaning there are two realities/parallel dimension.
@@cas9007 I know, that's why my comment includes the name of the next level in it.
CHEERS
I hope u put those vids a bit faster, its fun to watch u guys playing.

Actual worst ending ever. Hated it. Disappointing and lazy.
This level isn't the true ending of GTFO, there's still more to see in the second half of Rundown 8.
