25:41 Not sure if anyone's answered this, but the door keys normally unlock the nearby door for a quick way out of the area after you grab the main loot. Most quest areas in 7D2D are dungeon-style, guiding the player through the area with signs. Is the path destroyed or locked? That might not be the right way. Is there a lantern or torch on the ground? Try investigating the area. You might even have to parkour or break through curtains and boarded doorways to advance further. You shouldn't feel pressed to loot the area completely, but investigating thoroughly doesn't hurt... unless you're underprepared for nighttime, that is.
Yeah it's important for all players to know that each area in the game has a path in it. So you don't have to break doors down like they were trying to do at the start, you can get into the area and through all of it.
Long time 7D2D player here, it's cringe to watch new players because you want to scream at the screen but watching new people discover how deep that game goes is rad. Most people are put off by the graphics (game is fugly, no denying that) but this game is so good (and probably won't be as good in the next alpha). Thanks for the ride.

for anyone who didn't understand why the horde night at 2:02:06 decided to break the walls, because zombies Ai first try to walk on the same altitude as you're then walk toward you in the shortest way possible, since there isn't a way to get to you, they do two things, destroy everything under you, or make a way to you, so they started destroying that wall to make a clear path to get to Syzen. also to fix what happened to james , just leave the server and get back in xD no need to troll your friend lol

I just noticed he was able to jump over them, this is why everyone should spend on Parkour Skill. Parkour is such a game changer in 7DTD that's the only reason he was able to escape from there 10/10
Entering the church the hard way is really funny. They could have found the destroyed wall the first few minutes but the zombie jumpscare at the back terrified him so much they didn't check the other side of the church.
41:40 the reason the zeds didn't go for your door rather than the sides is because the zeds aren't blind to the spikes like it's Orcs Must Die. They have certain "terrain" costs to take different routes. Putting down all those spikes make your front door more "expensive" to go through (because they would run into the spikes) so they went for the "cheaper" walls.
@kartikeyatiwari2502 it takes into account the cost in HP of any blocks to get to you, so if you create two narrow paths for them to walk down and place spikes on one path, Wood spikes cost 500 each in hp if you have 10 that's 5k hp, then on the second path place a steel door with 10k hp they will always take the spikes, now if you place a steel door on the first path your total hp to reach you is 15k so they will go down the second path to reach you because its cheaper so the majority will head down that path radom ones will still go the first path and as it reduces in hp more will join in. The Zs calculate distance x cost so if you had a long corridor with five steel doors to reach you and only 4 concrete blocks holding your platform up they would destroy the platform pillar to get to you because its cheaper to do that. And this is me simplifying it too its a whole thing and hard to explain 😅 like if you knock them off a ledge and your with in 11 blocks of them they go into destroy all mode for a short time if your 12 blocks away they don't as I said their's alot too it, its crazy
@@TRNHardy from my experience it is not true. I cover my base with layers of iron spikes and when the horde gets through 3 layers of one part I just move to a different path and the entire horde moves parallel to me even though the new spot has all layers of spikes intact. @kartikeyatiwari2502 Because to reach you they would need to break a bunch of walls right? So instead they'd break spikes and only the wall your standing on

You can get forged iron from scrapping broken workbenches, sawmills, chemistry stations. Stuff like that. If you really need some quick iron or cement, don’t forget the cement and rock bags you can find in most buildings. The ruined biome gives you stone and sand from mining the ground, you’ll know you’re there because the ground looks like bricks and rocks! Basically like ruined buildings. The biome also has iron scraps all over the place that look like rebar. Those scraps are decent way to get some quick iron. Hope this helps!
This is 100% relatable. The first few days were hard to watch especially since I have way too many hours in game. Great job and this game is awesome with friends. Keep up the vids, earned a sub from me.
The narration throughout was very well done. Made it feel more engaging. I figured I'd end up watching this in chunks and I've been glued to my screen for a little over 2 hours now.

Watching the two of you play this game for the first time was amazing. It was so funny to watch you go in blind, which I think is the best way to play the game now that you've shown me the way. I usually look up everything before I play, but its kinda awesome watching you struggle and then become better.
I currently have 3,769 hours on 7DTD and this is one of the most bat shit crazy hilarious playthroughs I've ever seen!! You earned yourself a sub and an automatic like/comment on every video i watch from here on! 😁😍😂😍
You have inspired me to start playing and this by far has been the best series I have ever seen on youtube. Can you please in the future do maybe 200 days or just keep playing?(Btw you and ImTheJames have such an amazing friendship)
Gonna be honest, after 100 days, there's not a lot of game left in the game. You probably wanna start over around day 100, and take different skill trees for a different play-through experience. 2x100days or 3x70days playthroughs are gonna be more fun than 1x200days. The game is 66.7% more fun with 2 people btw ;) And if different perk trees isn't enough, there's also a wide range of difficulty & game settings options to tinker with. After you've exhausted the playstyles in vanilla though, there's always mods like Darkness Falls or Undead Legacy.
I'm liking at the start of the video for the sheer length and time commitment to a single video I love that it seems like it'll be edited as well as long format, a great thing to see
I am amazed that you played 14 ingame days and you did not fdigure out that you are not playing in party together to share the XP that you get from killing. It was very amusing to watch you struggle with the base and the hordes for sure ! Awesome video and it was entertaining.
I didn't come here to talk bad about your starting gameplay but to say, you did very well even for a guy playing it for the first time, we were all in the boat where we didn't know what to do but you guys kept going which is all that matters, i would happily spend another full video watching this again if you made another episode. The new alpha 21 is a must try it really makes the survival part even harder and much more fun. More animals roaming around to hunt instead of always having zombies to fight
My best noob base in 7days was a cabin surrounded by a series of ditches filled with spikes, each topped with barbed wire, added a catwalk, small wall, and an emergency pit bunker... this was before I knew they could dig.
After nearly 2.5K hours into this game it's fun to see this. It brings back memories of me scrambling about like a tit in a trance trying to figure out what the heck to do and worrying about the horde. I still remember my first horde night, i played Navegame and hid in a vat in the burnt biome haha, it didn't end well. Good vid mate, i enjoyed it.
So myself and 3 of my buddies have well over 800 hours of game time each at this point, and we have the early game down so efficiently that we basically have a fully crafted base made of cobblestone, electricity, guns, ammo production, and everything we need by the first blood moon. We only know what we know because we suffered through like the two of you did in this video. Definitely entertaining to see two new people to the game try to figure it out. Also, trader quests are borderline broken with the rewards at the higher tiers. You get to loot for the quest as well as the reward and xp from completing it. We also use our main base as our horde base, we just design it very specifically with that in mind. Making two completely separate bases was always tricky for us, so we figured having just one base is the way to go and we make it work pretty well in all honesty
Hey Isyzen, I absolutely love watching your videos-your 100 Days in 7 Days to Die series, solo games, and team play are all amazing! I was curious, though-would it be possible for you to create a team-based video with 4 or more players tackling the Hell-level difficulty? It would be so cool to see that dynamic! Your content is always wonderful, and I look forward to every post. Keep up the fantastic work!
@@isyzen the door issue for the base can some what be solved by using more then one weaker door or keeping all but one or two doors open and when they brake the outer most door just shut another door in the line.
2:38:34 he FINALLY discovers farming for himself :d IMO farming is so good in this game since you even get exp for it. if you play in a group and one goes adventuring, the other quests and one grind farms materials, none of them will feel like they are missing out. (imo) :P)
Your friends character looks freakin hilarious xD also at 17:00 it funny how u guys decided to camp on roofs, my first thought was to dig a hole in the middle of the house. xD XD
Please do another 7D2D video. This was so much fun to watch. You guys are funny as hell. A lot of epic moments in this 3 hours. It was worth it to watch. I hope for another video. 🔥
You missed out on doing true co-op at several stages, where you level up around 90% faster. When you play together you can invite other players to your party. Not only does it help you locate eachother, but you also share XP between you on zombie kills. Also, setting up a dedicated server might help when it comes to framerates, especially on Bloodmoon nights and in tier 5 areas
@@driftbosfallout not as often i think though that james was absent for a great deal of the series so what we're seeing is him talking to himself and/or us viewers
I came back after watching to comment that 3:14:00 to 3:14:25 is my favorite part of this for its comedic reasons. The song playing and the steady, slooow pace of “swimming” through the water is just a perfect match.
Btw you can get a lot of the ores and materials you need by mining and digging in the dirt, u can find large iron deposits and other deposits. There is also a whole skill tree for it to help increase the amount of ore you get per hit and how fast you dig.
The amount of joy I experienced while watching 3 hours of you two fumble your way into becoming somewhat competent survivors is indescribable. Hopefully this game hasn't discouraged you (or your friend) from doing another 7DTD series. Yes, this game does have loot tier tables. So the higher your levels are, the higher the grade loot. So if want to quickly increasing your player levels to find more higher grade weapons I suggest: - Building a base and upgrading the building blocks - Mining or digging for materials - Scrapping - Doing quests such as clearing all zombies or fetching the courier satchel Items that can be scrapped for forged iron: - Workbenches - Chem stations - Cement mixers - Table saw - Workout weights - Broken vending machines (DON'T SCRAP WORKING VENDING MACHINES) - Street lamps - Transformers (they can be found at the top of electrical poles) - Gas pumps - Wall safes - Gun safes - Military crates - ATM machines (Which will also give you a decent amount of cash to use at the Traders :D ) Scrap low tier weapons; Their parts will sell for way more then the weapon itself. Also you don't need lockpicks to open a crate or safe. If you got the time (and you're desperate for W grade loot), you can break it open using: - a pickax - a sledge hammer - a shotgun or .44 magnum (but only if you got the ammunition to spare lol) - an auger
This entire video, what an AMAZING edit it was! The pace, your narrating, the music, the content itself. It was all so fluid. And I am that person that if i can see the edited version or the raw footage i choose the raw, but this was so easy to stay engaged!
@@isyzen yeah man i think it was obtainable in older versions when mods were first added but now you can only get it from creative unless you have mods
I love how at the start instead of doing what everyone else is doing grinding and looting and making base immediately you guys do it differently like finding a house to stay in and making it into a small camp then figuring stuff out. Its fun watching someone do it differently for once
2:00:00 the devs realized people were cheesing hoard day, by driving around during it, so when you get in cars or bikes, the game spawns a bunch of vultures to kill you.
It's crazy! I'm now on day 580+ (I mean server was on day 490 when I joined so not that long) I just got my first Turret in my underground base, and I've been waiting to finish work to jump back in...then I stumble onto your video...Now I can't get back to my own game, cause yours is so much fun to watch! Watching you grow from Noobs to Pros gives me so much Remote Pride!
I gotta admit this being ur first play through and u guys kept going out at night was pretty ballsy respect for that. 😂 when i first played i stayed my ass indoors at night lmao 30 mins in and im lovin the video
I highly suggest building a base on a bridge. Just block off the four ramps on the side and build a bridge up to the top of your bridge. That way all the original supports and height is already there and you don't need to waste time and resources building the structure. Just fill in the top part with walls and floors and bam! Base. It works super well, I just suggest reinforcing the bottom of the bridge in the water so it doesn't collapse in later game stages.
Thank you for uploading this. This is a superb, funny, terrifying video in a game I love. I haven't finished your video yet, I am just past day 84. I nearly gave up with my game, I died so many times and I am now in a comfortable position with food, water and weapons. I like how you make it clear that to succeed, you need a combination of good weapons, base knowledge and skill, not just by "gitting gud". I look forward to the end. You probably wanna start over around day 100, and take different skill trees for a different play-through experience.
2x100days or 3x70days playthroughs are gonna be more fun than 1x200days.
The game is 66.7% more fun with 2 people btw ;)
And if different perk trees isn't enough, there's also a wide range of difficulty & game settings options to tinker with.
After you've exhausted the playstyles in vanilla though, there's always mods like Darkness Falls or Undead Legacy.
I'm liking at the start of the video for the sheer length and time commitment to a single video
I love that it seems like it'll be edited as well as long format, a great thing to see
bro i started watching this at 1am and stayed up till the end mad respect
You are appreciated lol! That takes some loyalty XD Thanks bud
Same man lol. Its 4:10 am and gotta wake up in 5 hours to go to work but it worth the time:D
I started at 2 am. LOL!
I am amazed that you played 14 ingame days and you did not fdigure out that you are not playing in party together to share the XP that you get from killing. It was very amusing to watch you struggle with the base and the hordes for sure ! Awesome video and it was entertaining.
“When are we gonna have a break through” immediately breaks through the floor
Was just about to comment that lol
Mine was built on a single pillar in the sky 😑
I watch many 7DTD streamers, this was fun and entertaining! Definitely earned a sub here! Keep it up!
Man I watched the whole thing without falling asleep and the whole run was interesting, you sir have earned a subscriber.
I fell asleep a couple times. Ngl
30:40
The literal definition of, “The Power of Frienship and this gun I found”
This was the most entertaining 3 hours I have ever watched. Amazing video!
You beautiful man! A supercut! You spoil us Syzen!
Thanks haha! Yeah the final 10 days are in this as well
@@isyzen the door issue for the base can some what be solved by using more then one weaker door or keeping all but one or two doors open and when they brake the outer most door just shut another door in the line.
2:38:34 he FINALLY discovers farming for himself :d IMO farming is so good in this game since you even get exp for it. if you play in a group and one goes adventuring, the other quests and one grind farms materials, none of them will feel like they are missing out. (imo) :P)
GG Syzen and mellow, you both have come such a loooong way!
Thanks fam!
this is so fun to watch😂 the vibe between you two is amazing!
They do share xp tho
@@driftbosfallout not as often
i think though that james was absent for a great deal of the series so what we're seeing is him talking to himself and/or us viewers
I Have never watched such a long video without getting bored atleast once. This? This is amazingly good and I got hooked watching, wasnt boring at all
Loved this series
Thanks Smart. I appreciate you homie
Me to
I came back after watching to comment that 3:14:00 to 3:14:25 is my favorite part of this for its comedic reasons.
So if want to quickly increasing your player levels to find more higher grade weapons I suggest:
- Building a base and upgrading the building blocks
- Mining or digging for materials
- Scrapping
- Doing quests such as clearing all zombies or fetching the courier satchel
Items that can be scrapped for forged iron:
- Workbenches
- Chem stations
- Cement mixers
- Table saw
- Workout weights
- Broken vending machines (DON'T SCRAP WORKING VENDING MACHINES)
- Street lamps
- Transformers (they can be found at the top of electrical poles)
- Gas pumps
- Wall safes
- Gun safes
- Military crates
- ATM machines (Which will also give you a decent amount of cash to use at the Traders :D )
Scrap low tier weapons; Their parts will sell for way more then the weapon itself.
Also you don't need lockpicks to open a crate or safe. If you got the time (and you're desperate for W grade loot), you can break it open using:
- a pickax
- a sledge hammer
- a shotgun or .44 magnum (but only if you got the ammunition to spare lol)
- an auger
okay, now do 100 Days in Generation Zero.
This entire video, what an AMAZING edit it was! The pace, your narrating, the music, the content itself. It was all so fluid. And I am that person that if i can see the edited version or the raw footage i choose the raw, but this was so easy to stay engaged!
he said he has a blessed metal mod but its only obtainable in creative wtf man 3:24:05
I didnt know that lmao.... woooooooooooow
I haven't even watched half the video and I'm hooked we need more RUclipsrs like yall keep up the good work
That means a lot i appreciate it! I loved making this video
@@isyzen it would be cool if yall did modded 7 days lol
i have watched this 5 times for many hours of enjoyment seeing you guys develop from zero to hero makes for a good story
2:00:00 the devs realized people were cheesing hoard day, by driving around during it, so when you get in cars or bikes, the game spawns a bunch of vultures to kill you.
I just love watching very long form content of this game, it is just so relaxing
James getting burnt....sorry, I laughed out loud at that...😂
This video was awesome!! I watched ALL of it. You guys are so FUN! My new fav RUclips channel!
Thanks for the kind words! Also i've tried running sons of the forest and its just unfortunately not my kind of game. Maybe with friends would make it fun though
What got me was the switch, connected to nothing but the generator. A true electrician 🤣
What a WONDERFULLL CONCENTTT. OMGGGG. I JUST watched the whole thing mannn. Crazyyy
Ngl I think you guys should do 200 days this video is so entertaining I’m literally at 2:15:24 Please do 200 this has been amazing so far I can’t wait to watch the rest
😂😂😂😂 why is his character like a shadow 😂😂😂. Love this team please make more vids together
playing recording an editing a 200 day gameplay is just amazing, shout out to you for sharing this amazing work
im like 10 minutes in and im crying laughing at how much of a noob yall are its adorable. im happy you guys didnt give up on this game. its glorious. yeh it has a LOT of glitches BUUUTTT its so fun.
That ending was so romantic. Now I'm gonna restart the vid, just to remind myself of how far we've all come, on this adventure. BIS vid bros! Love you too!
This video is very entertaining and the fact that they are mowing down zombies while rave music is playing is great just great
You guys really need to do 200 days. I sat and watched all 10 episodes today. James is so funny and on days 80-90 he didn't really play and it was a little boring but when ever he talked it might it more fun. Love your videos and 7 days to die!
Finally some content about 7 Days, I've been looking for videos like this.
This is my go to video when I need a pick me up and need to laugh. OMG you two are hilarious and the pee comment is epic! Thanks for the content Syzen!
Only halfway through so I imagine you improved your wiring afterwards cause you wiring those blades got me, but for your guys real first long run through the game you guys did excellent and we're entertaining the whole way so far, good team in many ways lol, nicely done guys
This is a masterful video, perfect in all ways, and taught my mediocre ass that console and PC is wayyyyy different
Dude I have got to say I manly clicked on this video as background noise as I was taking care of some things, I have now been actually watching for 1 hour and 39 minutes haha looks like I'm finishing this video. And you've just gained a subscriber, great work!
It was nice to watch, but I never thought l was going to watch to the end
It's nice to see some people starting this from scratch, has been a while when I was there. Nice video 😅
literally the best 7 days to die video out there, great work man
Hey Syzen I’m a huge fan I always watch your videos and that music you do on every intense times like bird night is craaaaaaaaaaaaazy!!!!!
And James is halariouse same for you😂
It's always fun to watch newbies absolutely suck and in a constant state of fear. Then, once they figure it out, you're almost never afraid of anything.
Man James remind me of my friend I always play with. I really enjoyed this video and y’all’s interactions
The key automatically unlocks the door that it is next to, making it easy to leave and come back without needing to bust down a fortified door. It's like a button, you click it and it's done, not a physical item :) hope this helps
That was sick!!! I enjoyed every quests and horde night you did!!! You guys Rock! 😆🤟
As a seasoned player of this game, Watching the early days was both infuriating and also very entertaining.
Just knowing “he doesn’t know about this and should do this” was semi annoying but reminded me of my first time playing during the more simple days. 10/10 video
Kept my attention for 3 hours, 36 minutes, and 52 seconds. 10/10 do recommend
This was so much fun to watch... I wanted to scream when you were doing traps but you nailed it later on. GG!!
Great video guys👍 watching this, I went through all kinds of emotions. Love this game and your content ❤ greetings from Germany
Normally videos this long get boring for me but i loved every second of this video
“Found him, he’s floating, he’s dead.” Idk why but this quote summed up the game for me and it’s rlly fun.
That 2 hour 54 mark had me almost piss myself hahahahhaha
As a pro 7days player, this vid was very enjoyable ^^ to see someone enjoy the game that I've been playing for years, it's quite refreshing~
A well-done playthrough! Nice narration, kept things light and interesting, even for a supercut, didn't feel too long.
