Any base will last longer than I currently intend on playing. This game could have been something special but the creators decided hitting their heads repeatedly on concreate is the best way to come up with new ideas
TFP hasn't had to come up with new ideas for a very long time. The modders have been doing for them FOR FREE. All the devs have to do is bring in new players and offer mod support. The business model is brilliant.
So how would i build it without cheating the item cause you cant craft those pillars vanilla ive already tried mainly asking cause im curious if you can build it without going into the creative menu
The Pillar 0.0125m centered is absolutely available as a shape. In the video I show this, and I also say that there are other pieces that act the same way. 3:30
@JustRobPlays right i see that but i mean without using the creative menu you cant get it right or is there a tool that lets you change the shape of blocks that im unaware of thats craftable
I love the idea of your horde base, but when I was making mine, I was only able to dig down for 4m before I hit stone. I tried using dynamite, but that did nothing to the stone. Maybe I just need to find a location at a higher location.
That's a great build for ranged/explosive characters! Would an absolute nightmare in Afterlife, given how long it takes to generate that number of explosives...
I've never played afterlife. I could definitely see the price of explosives coming into play. In vanilla I exclusively use pipe bombs because of how cheap they are. I can throw 10 of them and replace them just as easily. Fun fact. This base was born in darkness falls using nail bombs. The benefit I've found in darkness falls is. No screamers at the end of the night.
Cops can’t spit through scaffolding so putting that on the sides would leave windows. My question is, how do you get the loot from the bottom? Would you make some kind of hole to the bottom with a broken ladder that leads to it?
You are very close to a great base. you have 3 of the basic concepts, but as you advance playing the game, a large number of the mechanic pathing bases fail. You are on the right path tho. I cruise a ton of these videos cause i like to see where the community is as a whole. Some of the ideas you are using are very solid. Keep it up!
Just curious could this be modified for some servers running mods like War3Zuk which has giant sized zombies? I would imagine that the center hole would have to be larger to accommodate more of those center poles so you can have your zombie entrances to your pit about 4, 5 or maybe 6 blocks tall.
Darkness Falls day 7 horde killed me within 30 seconds with acid spit and then when I respawned for fun I was killed by feral spiders and vultures because I didn't have a roof as per the instructions. I think DF has changed too much for this to be viable.
I'm currently playing DF and it feels like they have upped the block damage a ton. This base is absolutely possible in DF but its no going to be easy. Honestly then best way to fight a DF horde is on foot.. Otherwise you'll spend most of your time mining for repairs.
keep cobblestone for the corner supports but make the pillar .125m in the center out of steel, that way you're not wasting a lot of expensive material and still getting full benefit of steel
Pole Centered. See a fraction of a second after 2:03 . (The timestamp only works for complete seconds and won’t open precisely on the moment he highlights the name of the ‘Pole Centered’ block - unfortunately he doesn’t pause for a second, just clicks the shape he’s looking for and moves on, but you can freeze the screen at the right point).

Did you miss the part where I blew up 50 demos at once? I did it twice and I would do it 20 more times.
P.s. I can see your original comment before you edited it.
Fun fact: if you do this close enough to a tier 6 poi you'll get tier 6 loot bags from the zombies
Dropping down to collect backpacks then a day horde appears lol, always happens
Does the loot bags blow up or take damage eventually or are they immune?
This is genius, I need try building this in my playthrough, does look fun and easy to make. 👍
This is cleverly done, I'll have to tinker with this layout and see what else can be done with it. =^.^=
EPIC! amazing video! superb editing! I love your content, and I'm subscribing
This is actually super sick man. Running out of things to do on my 1 life world. I’m going to build this rn 👍
Thanks for the video I'm sure alot of people will build this
If you extended the support pillars out a bit from the hole platform and added some forcefield blocks around it the pillars would never get touched 😂
Great Base! Can you show how you would be able to get the loot from Bedrock?
@@CHEFFEG60 Craft bulding blocks and choose ladder, then climb down ;)
I mean it's pretty simple stuff lol
9:41 where uh, where'd that ladder fall from?
Any base will last longer than I currently intend on playing. This game could have been something special but the creators decided hitting their heads repeatedly on concreate is the best way to come up with new ideas
TFP hasn't had to come up with new ideas for a very long time. The modders have been doing for them FOR FREE. All the devs have to do is bring in new players and offer mod support. The business model is brilliant.
Nice. Def building this on my next play through
Would love to see Glock9 give it a try
Add a hallway and a hatch to it.. and he might.
He wouldn't use it. The floating pillars would be a no-go. But share this with cautiouspancake, he will love it!
Great Design, wonderful video, thank you!
Hall of the Mountain King was an excellent choice. Nice job!
Im going to build this on a mountain and make a “zomcano” haha
How did you get the view of what the Hotspot of the blocks?
press F1
type dm
press enter
press f1 again
press ESC
on the right side of the screen. 'SHOW STABILITY'
@@JustRobPlays Sweet! Thanks! Giving your build a try.
GNS is doing this base in his afterlife playthrough now, he did say he got from another creator.
Hold a building shape in your hand and hold down R. Then choose from like.,... 4000? different shapes.
@@JustRobPlays k srry bout that i had NO idea you could change the shape of items like that
@@JustRobPlays an thank ya very much for the new info
That is pretty impressive, good job dude.
Great video - how much damage do the birds above, do?
Would the base be stronger if you build it in the City on the street ?
I love the idea of your horde base, but when I was making mine, I was only able to dig down for 4m before I hit stone. I tried using dynamite, but that did nothing to the stone. Maybe I just need to find a location at a higher location.
Hey! Thanks! That's so weird. Theres definitely something wrong if you cant break the rocks.
How do u manage getting loot bags?
Im curious how this would work in rebirth where they have explosion and fire resistant zombies. Lol
this is very nice now how about a meelee base? also would it work in after life? they have giant zombie!
Cops can’t spit through scaffolding so putting that on the sides would leave windows. My question is, how do you get the loot from the bottom? Would you make some kind of hole to the bottom with a broken ladder that leads to it?
Well, if you have parkour, just drop down and you would be able to climb your way out with just basic blocks and just pick them up after.
How do you go about looting the kills without breaking your leg?
@@peterblood8074 ladder, nerd pole, oh shit drops or dig a tunnel. Oh shit drops are the most fun.
@ which of those can I do without screwing up the pathing? And am I building my way down there every horde end?
Zombie: why are we still here? Just to suffer?
Am curious how this base would hold up in Afterlife...
Keep it up!
Yeah, the issue is they will eventually attack the base supports rather than trying to path into the trap.
Just curious could this be modified for some servers running mods like War3Zuk which has giant sized zombies? I would imagine that the center hole would have to be larger to accommodate more of those center poles so you can have your zombie entrances to your pit about 4, 5 or maybe 6 blocks tall.
So clever! This is a great idea
Sorcerer's Apprentice was perfect!
This is a very well done video.
Thank you 🙏 ❤️
Its kinda crazy how it can just float.
steel would probably let the whole base stand with just one corner it looks like
keep cobblestone for the corner supports but make the pillar .125m in the center out of steel, that way you're not wasting a lot of expensive material and still getting full benefit of steel
How do you get down and back up to get your loot?
Very well done sir!
beautiful in it's simplicity. I also enjoyed "In The Hall of the Mountain King" as the music 🙂
Absolutely brilliant.
I hope they don’t patch this one, it’s a demo’s dream come true!
Sick base! But... Ugh... I miss the A16.4 zombie AI.
What are those at the 2:30 mark? I can't find them on my game
I spit out my KD.
Fck bro, you knocked nearly all pillars... 3.5/4 pillars GONE, and it was like, eh alright fine. Guess I am done.
