Background Story: The Order of the Ebon Talon
The Order of the Ebon Talon is a mysterious and elite faction residing in the harsh, frozen wastelands of Navezgane. Their purpose is to protect the remnants of humanity from the relentless undead. The Order’s origins are whispered in survivor camps, where tales of their swift justice and unseen presence evoke both fear and hope.
The Ebon Talon Citadel
Nestled on open ground near an abandoned town, the Ebon Talon Citadel stands as a towering fortress shaped like a raven. The citadel is built over a natural hot spring, providing the essential warmth needed to survive the freezing temperatures of the snow biome. Its patchwork, open-air structure contrasts the cold world outside with the warmth and life inside.
The wings house the living quarters and planning rooms. These areas offer rest for the Order's members and provide space for strategic planning to protect Navezgane’s survivors.
The head of the raven serves as the primary lookout point for the Order. Rangers keep watch from this elevated position, scanning the wasteland for any signs of zombie hordes or approaching survivors in need of aid. From here, the Order ensures that no threat approaches unnoticed.
In the chest of the raven, a different kind of vital activity takes place. A plant nursery flourishes here, where seeds are altered to survive and grow in the harsh snow biome. Alongside the nursery is a library, offering members a quiet space to read, study, and reflect. This area provides mental and emotional relief, balancing the Order’s otherwise harsh existence. Additionally, the brewery produces special brews unique to the Order, fostering camaraderie and celebration among the faction’s members.
Surrounding the base of the raven, within the protective walls of the citadel, are additional living quarters, farming plots, and relaxation areas. These spaces offer a touch of normalcy amid the chaos, with the geothermal warmth allowing farming plots to flourish, producing food to sustain the Order.
At the base of the raven, the citadel’s core, lies the armory, mess hall, and workshops. The armory is the heart of the Order's defenses, stocked with a variety of weapons and armor, all carefully maintained by skilled craftsmen. In the workshops, these craftsmen also repair gear and create new tools from the resources scavenged in the wastelands. The mess hall is a communal gathering place, where members share meals and stories from their expeditions. It is a hub of social interaction and unity, offering both nourishment and companionship to the members of the Order.
The Rangers and Assassins
The Order consists primarily of rangers and assassins, highly skilled in stealth, survival, and combat. The rangers are experts in the wilderness, moving silently through the snow-covered wasteland to scout out zombie movements and gather resources from infested towns. The assassins specialize in close-quarters combat, silently dispatching threats and protecting the citadel.
Gatherers of the Wasteland
The Order’s members often venture into zombie-infested towns to scavenge materials. They are resourceful, using whatever they find to strengthen their citadel. Every mission into the wasteland is a calculated risk, balancing the need for resources with the dangers of the zombie hordes.
Guardians of Navezgane
Though feared for their lethal efficiency, the Order of the Ebon Talon is also seen as protectors of the remaining survivors in Navezgane. They respond swiftly to calls for help, their presence offering hope in a land of despair. The Order stands as both a sword and shield, forever watching over the remnants of humanity in the frozen wastelands of Navezgane.

I guarantee I will NEVER build a base like that again. That was a multi-person build that I took on myself...don't know what I was thinking. Hope you all liked it.
yours blew me away for sure! and I feel your pain I was trying something - not has intricate but definitely not a solo build and even with help it was hard, and I couldn't push through-- the effort and time spent by you to make that had to exceed mine by leaps - hats off to you good sir!

Its also nice to get to see the other folks bases since I spent almost every second on the server gathering resources or working on the citadel. There are some hugely talented folks on our server fo shizzle!

Insane is definitely the word I'd use for these bases. Just all the time put into them and they all look absolutely amazing and have their own feel to them. Mad props to all the builders in the video.

I really loved watching the Cozy Sun Horizons build in progress, awesome to see the final result! The roof... do y'all know how hard it is to do a fancy roof in 7days!? *Cries* JT that colour scheme is so eye-catching! Love it. =3 The cafe is so cute, enjoyed watching that one evolve. Mal's shop was great, looking forward to the next one, and the big barn farm was a great idea.
Sonja! So awesome to see how you converted the diner that I didn't at all push you to convert xD It's soo cute and happy. What's this an Eko build!? It's awesome, and definitely fits with your living out of boxes at the side of the road all the time haha. Pretty window too.
Raven.. you're never gonna top that build ya know. It's just so damned good! And was amazing watching it come to life, and of course be able to farm all your screamers, cause they definitely weren't mine >.>

Even though I saw many of these on the server, seeing them here with Eko's designer eye is so much better. I had to go back and watch again at 1/4 speed so I caught all the details. Unreal talent lurking around this place in oh so many ways.

Thanks for showing the builds it was cool to see other stuff then like tower bases. Gave me some inspiration. Been trying my hand at trying to build like a trailer with attached farm that also functions as a horde base (miss the old legacy graveyard) built it into a cage/community farm for 16 or 12 people a few years ago
That's it, I'm uninstalling. These are so awe inspiring and well crafted that it honestly has deflated me. My ego has been purged and I am now seeking to make deals with whatever dark malevolent gods will grant me the level of creativity and patience required to forge anything even remotely similar to any of these. I wonder if I could strike something up over at Cozy Sun Horizons?

Those are freaking sweet, but I have a few questions that maybe someone can answer for me. Are they built in creative/god mode or survival mode? I am assuming with some of the decorations, such as the pool table and stuff that it was done in creative.
Second question) Is it possible to create a base in creative mode and be able to stick it into a survival mode game? I have been playing since A15, but I have never really done much with base design. Most of what I have built has been for just dealing with the zombie hordes.
Last question) What do you do with something like some of the larger bases that were shown, to keep zombies from spawning into your base? It would be kind of sad to build something to only have a couple screamers spawn into a section of your base calling in a horde and destroying part of it, as it seems the bed roll and land claim blocks can lack coverage and from what I have experienced seem to not be a 100% guarantee that zombies won't spawn.
My build was certainly one of the more tame shown here so I can only speak from my experience. It is not done in creative but the server uses several mods that open up decor items normally not available for crafting. Mods work with players to ensure game assets are available to builders even if it is not normally.
Builds can be saved and imported into other games, I am certain Eko has done a video explaining how to do it because I thought about exporting my last solo build and was looking for how to do it.
Zombies spawns can be stopped if a player created block is placed over the spawn spot is my understanding but my builds haven't stretched past the land claim block boundaries so my knowledge is second-hand.
